IIRC gestalts can't be a party to creating a fed, though they can join an existing one.

Mod doesnt seem to work. Tried it with a friend, we were both gestalts, and when I got the tech, I wasnt able to form a fed. We were on very positive relations with max trust, and there was no option to form a fed in the diplo screen.

Any thoughts/plans to fix the Favors issue? Specifically, adding the ability to use favors to force current fed members to allow new members to join the federation?

So, both Xenophile and Egalitarian should have an increased chance to roll this as both are considered Federation Builders, not just Xenophile.

@LawsonGrey It doesn't. PDX changed how envoys work among other things, and this mod directly conflicts with that.

Hey there, i tried to form a federation without "Scaled Leader" mod and interestingly it was the reason why i couldn't pick the last tradition but was not the reason for not being able to form federations. Both "Zenith of Fallen Empires 4.0" and "Ariphaos Unofficial Patch" modify the same diplomatic actions file but i think Ariphaos' mod is the culprit because it's file name is 00_actions. I changed the lines between 1955-1957 in Ariphaos' mod and lines 588-590 in ZoFE with:
"custom_tooltip = {
fail_text = requires_technology_federations
has_technology = tech_federations
from your file on both ZoFE and Ariphaos' Patch, and it started working and i was able to form federations.

I enjoy the simplicity yet effectiveness of this mod in what it aims to do without disrupting so much of the rest of the game's balance in the process. Thank you!

Updated to allow Gestalt empires to get the Federations tech with a prerequisite of "Autonomous Agents"

I think i found the conflict using Irony Mod Manager, at least it was the only conflict it found. The mod "Scaled Leader Capacity Fork" for some reason changes something with "diplomacy" file in common > traditions path. Is there something i can do to prevent the conflict? Thanks in advance.

Apparently the only possibility is a duplicate tech for gestalts.

@xKeK0: That's definitely a mod compatibility issue with something else you have, this works fine when used by itself. If you can figure out which one is causing it I can look into making it compatible, no promises though

Hmm i can't get this to work unfortunately. Load order doesn't matter, when i check the form federation option, it says that i need the federation diplomacy tradition. Also checked the tradition and there is "Galactic Ambassadors" tradition that your mod adds, but picking that doesn't allow me to take the next tradition. I have a few mods that adds some simple tradition trees but none that alter any existing ones to my knowledge. Just wanted to let you know.

@Demopan: Very good point, I never play gestalt so I always forget about them lol, I'll add something to make sure they can get it :)

So uhhh. I think locking it behind xeno diplomacy is a bad idea. why? Cause gestalts cant get that tech. Maybe remove the dependency or add a gestalt dependency. (Is it possible to make either or dependency?)

Maybe give entente a dmg,hp,shield, and armour boost to fed ships as well.
