However, I'm hoping to make wikis for a bunch of my mods in the coming months. This one would be low priority for a wiki since it's small, but it could happen.

@Jboy9786, the Resonate Stone item - made from 5 stone blocks, 3 glass, and 1 fallen star - can be used to freely toggle pet perks. There are similar items for the other perks, too.
Perks will reset to their default state (enabled/disabled) upon exiting and re-entering the game, but you can also set the default state in the config options.

@XpanD, yeah that should be perfectly fine, there's no persistent data on items or worldgen.

Would this be safe to (temporarily) remove after saving a world/player with it? Got a bit of a weird setup with a vanilla world that I want to avoid putting modded content in, if possible. (old item collection)

Thanks for making this, sounds like it'll be good fun.

@Rykyuby, I've already added in Mod.Call functionality for this mod that allows other mods to add perks to their own content. I'd prefer to just leave it up to other mod devs to add support for their own mods.
Aside from my own, I've not seen any other mods add support for this one.
It's not hard to implement in terms of complexity, but it's a tedious task for larger content mods with many pets and stuff, so I'm unsure if other devs would go for adding support to their mods because of that. Still, it wouldn't hurt to ask.

makes sense would you consider adding the calamity and thorium mod drops into the pile since they add alot more content to the base game

@Rykyuby, hook perks were considered but there's not really a good way to implement them because (AFAIK) they don't count as an accessory for the purposes of on-equip effects.
Perks could be triggered while the hook is deployed, but it would still be kinda pointless since you generally don't spend much time grappled to stuff.
I didn't do anything with mounts since the vast majority of them are statistically unique. If I remember correctly, the only mounts with duplicate stats are the Unicorn and Goat mounts, as well as the Zoologists' 3 horse mounts.

no mount and hook perks? i was thinking if you had something like the blessed apple it would boost your magic attack since y'know maigc and unicorns thats just like one of many examples of potential perks for pets and hook perks for example diamond hook could increase crit chance or something

Unsurprisingly, turns out all the mining speed effects in the mod were inverted. Just released an update fixing that, cheers!

@Rukir, oops! The internal mining speed stat can be a little confusing at times. Should be a quick fix so I'll try and get a patch out in a moment.

@Lemur, huh, it was able to load for me... Sometimes Steam doesn't handle item updates well. I'd suggest unsubscribing and re-subscribing to this workshop item an then try again?

@Harly There are 4 exclusive storage spaces in the vanilla game. The Piggy Bank, the Safe, the Defenders Forge, and the Void Vault/Bag.

@Harly, Chester's ability is unique among pets since it's not just stats, I'm not really considering other items/tools here. It's also the only vanilla pet to have an ability at all. IMO the ability as it is competes just fine with the perks in this mod, it's an arguably more convenient and perhaps easier-to-get alternative to the piggy bank (Smart cursor and/or autopause helps with the twitching, you can even access a flying Chester this way); a QoL perk in that sense.
As I said before, making the ability its own storage is a little too strong IMO (These perks are intentionally not supposed to have much of an impact, to preserve vanilla balance) and simply pulling it off would probably require way more effort than it's worth (Frankly I wouldn't know where to start with overriding the ability).

@BlockCrusader, Chesters ability is not unique because there is a flying piggy bank (which by the way is more convenient to open that to get access to the bank, rather than Chester, which likes to twitch left and right and you wait until he stops in order to click on it).

@Harly, I'mma just leave Chester alone. Its ability, if a little OP compared to this mod's perks, is unique enough and tweaking it would probably require a lot of effort for only a small change in utility.
Such a change would actually make Chester even more powerful in some respects, since giving it an exclusive inventory means that's another personal storage item, of which there are already 4 if I remember correctly.

@Tofy, this mod has Calls to support other mods' content, so I leave that up to those mods to add support themselves, if they're interested.
If you really want perks for a certain mod's content, request those devs to add cross-mod.

I will note the calls are simple and the process isn't too involved, but it would definitely be a tedious one for larger mods with lots of content.

Also, I don't think perks are as necessary for some mods, as I find modded pets, light pets, and wings with extra abilities from time to time (Ex: Calamity adds extra stats to all wings)

@Pearlie, also just changed the description to match your updated username. Kinda wish there was a convenient way you can 'quote' someone's username for these kinds of things.

Also, another thought on grappling hooks; maybe one could give them some extra functionality past grappling (Ex: hooks that damage enemies)? Could be neat, or maybe awkward if you miss and hit a block. Either way it's a little too out-of-scope for this mod so if I tried it that would be its own thing.

@Pearlie, I considered doing hooks, the problem is that they don't have an associated buff to work with, and they aren't really in constant use (Very often use, but it's not like you're grappled to something constantly) to merit having buffs apply just when you're grappled to something.

Minecart variations and all are useless aswell so, love it! :)

I'd say do hooks aswell.
