Ah I gotchya.

I just mean that it was working fine before, but has since stopped working upon adding this. I even removed it just to test and they work fine without this mod.

Maitetsu, this mod is currently in rework for future 1.6 to make it mor ein-depth. Also it probably something about that issue is from bed mod or VNPE itslef, cause base code for dripper is made by them, so report it to them.

Not sure if this is still being updated, but upon adding this mod, prisoners no longer get fed from the Nutrient Paste Dripper when they're in the Bondage Bed from Warcrimes 2

(Typical rimworld sentence lol)

Velxra, familiar with it myself, pretty old one, iirc it a thing of VNPE itself, so can't do much.

small bug to report. the smaller resized dispenser constantly has a letter warning for no hopper even if attached to a pipe network.

Though this is on a SOS2 ship using "SOS2 Hull Pipes". Not sure if this mod accounts for that.

Frog Z., there was an old bug of VNPE, where you could infinitely summon paste like that before, but ig they tried to fix it with release version 1.5 with adding a new tag to tap, which I didn't saw. Seems like it working same way now with it, will upload update in a bit.

On random combination of ingredients I can't say much, since my mod not adjusting this in any way and just inhereting that code from VNPE. For feeders also not sure what bug.

Overall VNPE itself still have a bug how you could get infinite food from tap (just done slightly different now) and feeder code for increasing max stack size still not working.

It seems that there are some bugs in this mod.

Game version: 1.4.3901

mod order: Harmony, Core, NPD tiers, Royalty, Ideology, Biotech, VE framework, VNPE, This mod.

Place down any paste tap from this mod, connect it to power, click "extract X meals" button, meal comes out regardless of its connection to the network and meals left in the network. The paste tap from VNPE works fine.

Furthermore, if connected to a network that do have remaining meals, meals will come out with a random combination of ingredients that are present in the vat.

mythicarcher, should not too hard, but I can't sa much of custom fluid tanks, cause I didn't had expirience with that. Plus there is few things I was asking to get fixed in PipeNet, but it still same for more than a year already, so I was patching it myself to make it work for this mod. But since you want to make technically new pipe network instead of working with existing one, then it probably won't be an issue for you. Overall just use VNPE or any other pipe related VE mod as a reference and I doubt you will get stuck.

About whenever it a good idea as a first mod, that one maybe a bit higher in difficulty, than something more simpler. But if you understand programming well enough the only thing that will take your time is just figuring out how code work and what you need to pick from it for your idea. Patching of existing code might be a pain to figure out at start, but you might not even need it for this idea.

Don't know that this is exactly the right place, but I have a question. How hard is it to work with the VNPE framework?

I have an idea for improving and adding utilities to chocolate and want to add a bunch of the VNPE buildings to the mix. A new Grinder, Pipe, Vat, Tap, and Feeder that all revolve around consuming chocolate, refining chocolate, storing refined chocolate, connecting refined chocolate buildings, and so on. Am I possibly biting off more than I can chew with this idea?

Would be my first mod, though I am a programmer.

In the end, I just want better chocolate...

gh0stashes, I was considering it, but since VNPE feeder had a bug that wasn't allowing you to adjust amount of maximum stack of placed paced on feeder, so most of the time I end up just using one max, which wasn't really requiring cooling and later I just swapped to tap instead. Might revisit it one day, even tho I think that bug still wasn't fixed on VNPE side.

Would it be possible to make versions of the feeders that are frozen- or at least refridgerated so the nutrient paste lasts in the tray a little longer? My prisoners nutrient paste keeps rotting in their trays because not every cell is full.

Kotori, ye, that common thing of VNPE and NPDTiers working at once. This mod doesn't change anything about dispensers "Versions of dispenser wouldn't be added due to compatibility issues and since taps provide same functionality", outside of moving them under one designator to take less space in build commands. So notification about hopper was caused by one of VNPE and NPDTiers, which side exactly I can't tell, cause looked about it more than a year ago, sorry.

Love your mod. I have found a bug however to acquire infinite food from nothing that seems to be replicatable. while using the command to extract meals while the vats are empty will still give you the meals oddly enough it will be the ones that are acceptable for all

I'm having an issue. My pawns wont eat from the dispensers. When set to eat only the nutrient paste meals they refuse to eat anything and just starve to death

vicandrei16, this is possible, but keep in mind, that it will require duplicating vats, grinders and all pipe network, when you decide to switch/add new paste to your colony. Considering the difference between paste outside of ratio nutrient per meal, so it more reasonable to keep one network and just adjust the output ratio. Which all would bring less confusion to people accidentally building wrong type grinder/vats not related to that network. Your solution would be fine, if people always only used one paste type, but need to consider the ones who use different dispensers from one centralized vats room in their colony.

Gubekochi Goury, so what exactly do you want about it? It seems like it basically same thing, but instead of nutrient paste it make actual vanilla meals and have new Pemmikan like meal. So the only new thing about that I see is NutriBar.

Imagine rows of tanks filled with thousands of chocolade puddings (which I imagine the meals to be) though. I guess it'd be nice for drippers on hospital beds but probably overkill.
Thankfully diabetes isn't included lol.

Feeders nutrient per paste ratio will be added later, once Vanilla Framework get PipeNet update from Git to be published on Steam.

blue, code for feeders wasn't friendly to different ratio of nutrient per nutrient paste, so currently it have no feeders. It will take me more time to figure out a good way for making them.

It could be my mod order but it looks like the freezer hopper isn't working with the nutrient paste grinder. I put a normal hopper on there and it started working immediately.

Krazyfan1, the thing is I spent few game years with big hospitality colony and this mod yesterday and it was working fine for me, that's why I puzzled what cause it. Might need more info to reproduce.

Jesse1079, putting paste to grinder return same meal amount as was used to make it. And you can just not put them next to each other. Also it not even my mod VNPE, so such questions a better addressed to them.
