Having quite the odd conflict with your mod, I've narrowed it down to Stored Research but I don't know if it's having a weird interaction with something else. Anyways, for some reason Stored Research is disabling the "Anomaly" tab in the research screen and any mod that adds tabs with Anomaly research.

@leoltron I have a heavy modlist, doubtful it's your mod by itself. Highly likely i had some conflict. Great mod regardless.

There seems to be a bug where the mod keeps storing research, rather than work on queued research projects. Happens after you unlock research projects and click on research when you don't have enough for it stored up?

feature request: would it be possible to implement a storage factor as modoption? like 100% of research go into active research (vanilla behavior) but without active research only X% of research points will be stored.

if you need another example of what i mean - think power in rimworld. consumers can be fed with 100% of the power generated by producers. batteries only take in 50% of the energy generated to store for later.

I don't know if I have run into a bug or me leaving dev mode on is tampering with stuff but Anomoly knowlege is not being used from storage when researching. It unlocks the tech but doesn't remove the points from storage.

I have been enjoying this mod for years. Right now, it seems to interact oddly with a new mod called UI Not Included. The space to show the research is there on the resource view, it just does not show. The only way I can watch my stored research points now is to set the too much stored research to zero to see it as an alert. If you feel it is not on your end, then I will go to the other maker and see if they can figure it out. It has also had fits with a Research Tree continued mod, but I have worked around it all this time.

@Rell It is compatible with GrobmotoriGER's 1.5 port of Semi Random Research. I just have uploaded an update that adds stored research into SSR's research tab's progress bar, if that is what you were worried about.

Sorry if it's already been answered but does this work with semi random research?? It didn't seem to use the stored research at all for it so wasn't sure if that was just something I was doing or not

@m11kire I tried to replicate the error, but Advanced Mechanoids do not add a research maechanoid of their own. I, however, tried to fix the error nontheless, try using mod version 1.6.2. If it doesnt help, please specify which mods add a research mech.

Facing an issue with the Anomaly tab with this mod enabled, clicking on it turns the research tab black with only the progress bar on current research visible.

In fact, you still earn one research point for spending one working time, and those advanced anomaly research will not be unlocked just because you use basic research. I don't think this makes anomaly research easier, but it makes it easier for players to adjust the content of their work.

Thanks for the answer! For me it's just a tiny thing but I feel like it makes the research of anomaly-projects too easy. My pawns keep researching and store the research, even if I don't have all projects unlocked. I unlock a new one and can instantly research it with my stored knowledge.

@PaprikaRobin It is certanily possible, but I want to understand what is the reasoning behind wanting to disable storing knowledge? It will not prevent pawns from studiying entities, but it will make knowledge gathered lost if no Anomaly project is selected.

i already did let steam check for file integrety ad made full clean redownloads.
well i can work around it with putting it at the end of the modlist, so i would say nothing to worry too much about.

@Abisius, I downloaded fresh versions of every mod on the mod list, sorted and moved Stored Research in several positions relative to other mods, and was unable to find any issues when opening the research tab, including with vanilla, Mint's Menus, and ResearchPal, when making a dev quicktest save.

I wanted to let you know that Stored Research completely bricked a save, presumably with this error:

- PREFIX Leoltron.StoredResearch: Void Leoltron.StoredResearch.ResourceReadout_Patch:Prefix(Rect& rect)
- POSTFIX Leoltron.StoredResearch: Void Leoltron.StoredResearch.ResourceReadout_Patch:Postfix(ResourceReadout __instance)

and removing it solved the problem. There was no interactable UI, all menus were inaccessible, graphical glitches, inability to select absolutely anything, could not scroll in or out - the whole nine yards. In all my modding endeavors I've never seen such a catastrophic failstate.

@Abisius Feel free to share the complete modlist with me, if it triggers errors within Stored Research depending on load order, I can fix them or at least put conflicting mods to <loadAfter> section

turns out the autosorting of the mods did sort a bit wrongly in that case.
i need to put it at the end of my modlist after the othe rmods for it to work, further up and it does block the research menu for me.
though there are some mods far down the modlist which add new stuff to research so it might have something to do with it.

making a clean moddownload (deleting all files related to the mod and even the acf before triggering a redownload via resubbing to a mod) should make sure that its the up to date version.

i will go for a search and try to find out why it doesnt wokr on my end while it works on your end.

Please make sure the mod's version is 1.5.4, I just tested it myself on fresh save with only DLCs, Harmony and both mods installed.

still cant open the research menu on my end with both mods loaded together, did make a clean redownload of the mods and for every test a new save with only the barebone requirements besides all dlc's loaded.

i did give stored research a try on a fresh world with the rest of my modlist and couldnt open the research window.
after doing some modconflict and file corruption check i found out the conflciting mod.

researchpal - continued ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3263594757 ) is not compatible with it annd its the 1.5 version of researchpal.

as far as i understand the moddescription it should be compatible with it.
