@xDj4ng0x : Interface Tweaks has a feature to move militia, so I guess this is the feature incompatible with this mod. If you don't enable it, it should be fine, no ?

This is clearly one of the best mods created for this game. I recently got my hands on the Interface Tweaks, and though it mentions its incompatible with this mod, I tried it out to see what could be in the issue. Two things I noticed was the Squad Icons at the top overlap the button that switches between your AIM mercs and the militia squads. Not a big deal. The breaking issue appears to be squad inventory. As soon as you select anything other than the main inventory that shows everything (weapons, ammo, misc, etc) it freezes the game.

I'm likely to poke me head around your mod and that one to see if maybe I can figure out the "why", but was wondering if you had a chance to look into yourself at point and if you'd be willing to do so to find some compatibility between the two?
If I find anything I'll post here about it.

@permanent666 unbelievable mod - I did notice one kinda gamebreaking immersion bug was if you want to use the militia as cannon fodder like me, and bring them with the mercs, it auto wins the map basically. I went to the diamond mine with the mercs and it has them spawn where the enemy spawns and triggers the win.

its a great mod :) thank you :) but i have one question about the Militia Equipment.
there 3 Options None,Randomize and Vanilla

if i do Randomize they mostley only spawn with a helmet or a Jacket or anything but the most of them have no Weapons :(

if i do Vanilla they all spawn with the famas infantery version ... its like Star Wars Clone Wars :D

I've got not interest in managing/micromanaging militia, but I'd love a separate mode with just the sector operations and interrogation options intact.

@permant666, I have had to pause on your wonderful mod for the moment, I am helping GBO test and troubleshoot bugs ATM. But damn I miss your mod already being able to just move around the Militia makes a world of difference. But I did find something you need to fix. If a militia unit enters a hostile map with the mercs, the game gives the team the defensive positions in the map as if they were defending, and this alone is a huge balance changer to the game.

Well, I'll keep you posted. I've only begun to poke at the under-the-hood editor stuff, and I'm not great at this. But it seems very achievable to add additional presets to the militia units, if I can learn how to use the tools. I'll do some reading, and maybe ask around on the discord when I've got time.

Ultimately though, your mod is excellent, and already working toward the goal of making the militia into minor characters in their own way. Giving them a visual lift feels very deserved to go along with it, so I'm happy to try and figure that out.

This is great, and it adds a very granular sort of feel to the way the militia work. They're not great, and especially if you choose to have to equip them yourself. I may never auto-battle again, because trying to make these guys work as my only line of defense against counter attacks is challenging, in a fun way.

Are you still developing it? It'd be great if they had the visual variety of that one Ernie Rangers mod, just to give them all that much more flavor. If not, I'm tempted to try and design my own visual variants.

I noticed that you can create more than 8 militiamen. But on my difficulty level, "commandos" and "hard-boiled" enemies come about 9 and out of 8 militiamen, maybe 1 is lost. But it turns out that you can make more than 8 militiamen and the sector will be invincible.

It's hard to adjust the balance of the game together with all the mods and figure it out so that it works well (or the difficulty is too low or the mods need to be selected better, what can I do?

After the merkam ran away from the sector with the militia through which the caravan with diamonds was passing, this caravan passed the sector without touching the militiamen.

I see that some of the militiamen fight with their fists (without any weapons), but if I'm not mistaken, in auto-battle they behave very effectively (it is advantageous to make auto-battle with unarmed militiamen) as if they are armed to the teeth()

@IvashaMagnus, thank you for your feedback. I will have a look into it but I won't test with controller. You can disable the mod but existing militia squads will stay under player control.

When the militia appears in the sector, it may not be possible to open the "operations" menu on the controller and on the keyboard afterwards - it is simply not active.
If you transfer the squad to the next cell and return it back, the menu earns again

Is it possible to disable this militia mod without threatening to save it, since I'm playing on the Controller (maybe it's just such a problem on it)?

The mod is good. It resembles the previous modifications of ja2.

We need to make it easier. I agree with Murky.
In ja2 1.13, I remember it was possible to "feed" weapons to the militia and indirectly control them by giving general commands if there were "headphones" - I liked that. There was no pile of complicating and cumbersome micromanagement with the pressure of cartridges for the militia (I understood this from the comments, if I understood everything correctly. So far, I have only created a militia and immediately turned on auto control.

There are problems with controlling the game on the strategic map through the Controller. Does the author support the game with the mod on Controller?

Great, but I find the micromanagement of militia very cumbersome. They often spawn with no weapons and ammunition, no gear and the supply system that provides seems inefficient. Also it is weird that militia cannot capture a territory. I would rather much straightforward way to supply, ideally auto-supply militia at least with ammo or being able to decided much easily who gets what from some militia dedicated armoury.

Idea for future feature - build defences e.g. place machine gun posts / sandbags / guard towers / walls - you could build defences via Operation, and when combat starts, you could place your Militia on the defences

Any chance to add options that boosts the base skills of the militia? i keep raising them to veteran levels but still cant hit anything beyond 5 cells far

Hey, how do you treat wounds for militia? I've got a few that I can't bandage and the options to "treat" in operations menu is greyed out whether or not they have a medkit or a merc that's a doctor in the sector does.

Unsubscribed, started game then exited. Resubscribed, started game and loaded mod. Loaded save and same issue as Azure. Advanced time an hour and then created new saved. Exited game and restarted. Loaded new save and mod is now functioning again.

Hello! Great mod! Really adds a lot of interesting options to the game! Is it possible to make sure that the militia weapons they receive after training cannot be taken away from them and do not drop out if they die? Dozens of FAMAS, which everyone has, if you turn on the VANILLA option, can be constantly sold, and if you turn on the background weapon option, then sometimes they have better weapons than my squad and they also drop out. Especially if you use the TOG mod for example. And when it can be taken away from them or it falls out, all sense of searching for a good weapon is lost. It is enough to train several units to forget about the problem of money and good weapons. I'm thinking about setting the NONE option, but I don't know if I can give them that many weapons. Although it will probably be interesting.

The problem is that he is invincible and "can not be aim" even I use the cheat mode to start battle is useless. He is just there crouching and can never be removed. But don't worry, I load an older save and do the battle again and everything is fine now.

@Azure: Unfortunately this is a bug which I never managed to reproduce and fix. Attack him with free aim and it should be possible to kill him.
