Glad it works now!
Unfortunately it seems to be random on whatever or not things work after building it from a blueprint. Most of the time it does but I have noticed it with other creations when playing with friends and we print ships that they don't always work properly for no apparent reason.
Tho if that happens we ususally just delete it and paste in a new one with the creative tools since we already used the resources to build it.

It works now, what a sweet ship! Thank you for taking your time to upload this practical artwork and even helping out afterwards.

I did build it manually with hand tools and I had to setup every action listed in the readme too, i assume because i built it manually. Is there a way to build these ships without having to "re-wire" them? just print and go?

I'm guessing you did a manual build?
Sometimes items do not get added into the toolbars properly when doing a manual build so you may have to add in a lot of stuff on your own. Those control keys you mention should be as follows:
2 - TML TB Tools ON/OFF (main) > Trigger Now
3 - TML Hinge 3x3 > Reverse
4 - TML Camera Rear > View
6 - TML Connector Rear > Switch Lock

and the EvC you mentioned should have TB Tools Weld (Secondary) Set to Toggle Block ON and Toggle Block OFF in slot 1 and 2.

If there is anything else that seems to be missing just check the ReadMe file on the side of the ship.

The control keys 2,3,4 and 6 does not work, even after renaming the welder and grinder correctly.
TML EvC Hingle Weld (+) has an error where the selected blocks is an unknown block. is this why?

@Mime0Tron if you install the pluging loader and Multigrid projector from github you can project multigrids in survival and build them. github.com/viktor-ferenczi/multigrid-projector
FunkyBacon  [author] 1 Nov, 2023 @ 7:12am
Yes and no, since it uses a hinge for the tools pod it is counted as two grids and you have to assemble the pod manually if using a projector. It comes with instructions (also included in the screenshots) for how to do it and it is very easy.

Is the build supposed to come in two separate pieces? I get the multi-grid error.

Yeah thats my guess, when i said script i was meaning the programming inside the event controllers by keen. Not anything with your build. Ive been getting alot more bugs ingame since that last patch, and a coulple blue screens. Aint had one of them in over a decade before that
FunkyBacon  [author] 26 Sep, 2023 @ 6:58am
That certainly sound like some kind of bug. I'm guessing it is the Event Controller not switching on or off the timerblocks when changing ange so when you swap the tools the welder TB still remains on and the grinder TB is kept off.

Also the scrip itself does not do anything with the hinge or welders, it just reads the cargo status based on the specific tags or lines in the object name. The ship is fully functional without the script but you wont get a cargo readout on the LCD's.

well i tried and they all work now. I wonder if its jsut a script issue with the new blocks, and restarting fixes it. I had 2 task masters v2's in a play-through, a little lithobraking removed the entire hinge, and repairing from bp (subgrid plugin installed) made the welder work but not the grinder, evening with renaming and following the setup, i even copied the setup from the working one. but now on starting the game to get you a blueprint, they all work, so i dont remember which the broken one was, for good measure i broke the grinders and hinges and rebuilt, and they all still work.

when i broke it previously my game had been running for 8 hours, so it could be one of them memory leaks or some other corruption thats still in the game, like the speaker bug, but with the new blocks resetting.

Did a new build and it works just fine. It was probably a "me" issue as I thought. Great ship:steamthumbsup:
FunkyBacon  [author] 24 Sep, 2023 @ 9:12am
any chance you can upload the BP and link it here? I wanna have a look and see what might be wrong.
AloneInFinland 24 Sep, 2023 @ 8:32am
Im actually ahving that same problem, mine came from destroying the grinder then replaceing it from BP, no matter what i did it wouldent work. but the welder was fine
Badgersbeard 23 Sep, 2023 @ 6:15am
Thanks for the replies. Once I get finished building the truck I'll try a re-build of the TML and see if it goes any better this time.
I was honestly confused by this, as apart from some fun times with the docking setup you use (I spent a while trying to get that working on the M6, which I figured out eventually) I've found WHI ships very easy to build/ set up manually. The original version of the TML was a breeze to build/ use, with no issues whatsoever. Love that ship.
FunkyBacon  [author] 23 Sep, 2023 @ 3:05am
Not sure what could have been wrong. Only thing you need to do after welding it up is build the arm and then add the welder and grinder to their own groups (renaming them is optional but the script wont show their stats without those changes). But again, the group names are case sensitive so it needs to be:
TML2 - Grinder
TML2 - Welder
With spaces and all.
Badgersbeard 22 Sep, 2023 @ 6:47pm
Yes it was a manual build (using a printer wall). The welder would not switch off when switching tools (assuming I manually turned the welder on from the control menu).
As far as I can tell everything was named correctly, as mentioned I went over everything as listed in the readme multiple times...

that said, ended up crashing the game without saving for a while (Doh!) and had to revert to before I even built the printer, so no rush....Decided to build your big truck to go along with the MK. 6 I built earlier today..gonna take a while .(Really love your designs tbh, so building an entire stable of WHI equipment).
FunkyBacon  [author] 22 Sep, 2023 @ 5:22pm
That is weird. It does work when I paste into my world (workshop file). Did you do a manual build? If so...
Does the welder turn off when you switch the tools? (if not can be an EvC error)
Does the timer block "Tools ON/OFF" have both the Grind and Weld TB's in it set to 'trigger now' and do their respective tools groups have them set to turn on/off?
Is the Hinge selected for both EvC's and has the AND GATE checked on?
Group names are case sensitive so make sure the grinder is added to the correct group.

The front-most TB should switch to green when the grinder is selected and red when switched away, and the middle one when the welder is selected or de-selected.

Lovely little ship, I was a big fan of the previous version...Only issue I'm having is that I cannot get the tools to work properly. Only the welder will turn on or off. I've copied out the readme file and gone through everything to make sure it's all setup correctly (multiple times over several hours in fact)...and the grinder just will not work (welder will switch on or off in the stowed position as well).

Pretty sure this is a me problem, but I just can't see what I've done wrong. Any advice would be welcome, as I really liked the old version, and this one is definitely nicer to fly imo.

i am loving this, i have used the old one for ages in tonnes of play throughs, thanks for the new one! Ive also bastardised some to have the indy cockpit and ions for work on the moon too.
