this was an epic mission ty for this
I gotta admit I found it almost next to impossible to plant explosives at the AA trucks without enemies being alarmed. Got the jets and intel fully stealth
I am using a third party script for the music and the script is designed to allow the music to play after a reload; I've just checked the code to see if this was the case. That script was originally written in the days of Arma 2 so it's possible that features don't work as reliably as they once did.
As far as FPS is concerned, yes this was an issue from the start and not easily solved unfortunately. Reducing units could work but it would damage the immersion as the airfield would no longer look or feel populated. It's essentially a catch 22; if I sacrificed realism and immersion for FPS, I guarantee that the mission would be worse off and would be rightly criticised for it. Spawning units later would only add to the problem since that's when the FPS drops occur.
My advice for now is to reduce your graphics settings a little; like view distance. I know you shouldn't have to do that but it does help better the experience somewhat.
if I may, just few things which could go better.
After first load, music stops playing - would be nice to check when player loaded save and play music again.
In final part FPS goes down really a lot, I would suggest consider removing some vehicles or units overall for smoother experience (or spawn some units later, when doing extraction from area? )
- lots of flexibility for the player's approach, allowing to experiment.
- great attention to detail. Enemy airbase, outposts, surrounding civilian areas etc. feel lived-in and realistic.
- top notch original soundtrack choices - be it stealth, combat or any kind of tracks.
- nice to see high-quality Intros and Outros coming back!
- challenging enemy placement and patrol routes, forcing the player to revise their approach on the spot.
And much, much more splendidness to experience! Well done! And remember - keep 'em solid missions coming. ;)
- Voice acting
- Proper Briefing
- Cutscenes
- Responsive AI
- Stealth
- Action
- etc.
Good job and thanks, Gruntage! :)
