Can someone tell me the command to summon Deinonychus?
Eclipse  [author] 12 Sep, 2024 @ 6:51pm
The fandom wiki is abandoned and vandalised. You'll want to use the up to date wiki: https://ark.wiki.gg/wiki/Fjordur
DarthQuell 12 Sep, 2024 @ 4:38pm
I'm working on getting the coordinates for Deino nests, but I actually have another question regarding the Fjordur animals. I've been told that the Aurochs is an animal that exists in-game, but it seems like it's forgotten otherwise. Could you add the Aurochs in your Fjordur mod?
Eclipse  [author] 11 Sep, 2024 @ 2:09pm
Most of it's on the mod end, so the process ingame is pretty simple:
- GCM and fly around and land on each suitable location
- Enter the command CCC (stands for Copy Coords to Clipboard)
- Paste the sets of coords down somewhere
You can send that over and I can do the rest from there
DarthQuell 11 Sep, 2024 @ 2:02pm
If I knew how to do that I would :steamfacepalm: ha ha
Could you possibly explain what I'd have to do regarding that? I'm pretty new to Ark
Eclipse  [author] 11 Sep, 2024 @ 1:55pm
I haven't had time to work on most of my spawn mods with commission work, but if you grab nest location coordinates that match the Snow biome (I can't target ruins specifically) I can add those
DarthQuell 11 Sep, 2024 @ 1:42pm
Can you please make them spawn in The Center? I had planned to do it myself, but I haven't gotten around to it. My idea was that, as there are various large, empty ruins dotted across the map without a big purpose (so far as I see), maybe Deinos can have their nests in those
Eclipse  [author] 3 May, 2024 @ 2:15am
Cause I have limited time and a lot of projects unfortunately
Isafreyr 3 May, 2024 @ 1:11am
Btw, why do you not have Griffins everywhere?
Eclipse  [author] 12 Mar, 2024 @ 8:07pm
Interesting, I always have hibernation disabled (-preventhibernation in options). Glad its working either way though
mackrealiv 12 Mar, 2024 @ 7:21pm
Ok, I figured out the issue (for playing single-player locally...at least for me.)
Due to a mod I used needing it (and the getallstate command needing it) I'd set -PreventHibernation in the game's launch options a long time ago then completely forgot about it.)
I removed that command traveled to the locations the Deinonychus spawn at now, then hung around for a few minutes for them to come out of hibernation and the nests to spawn (there are now seven on my map), headed back to safety, exited the game then put the command back into the launch options. After getting back into the game I was able to confirm the nests are still there (YAY!), so if any others are having a similar issue be sure to check those game launch settings!
Eclipse  [author] 12 Mar, 2024 @ 6:50am
Yes, see the description with INI options
Ei 11 Mar, 2024 @ 9:02pm
is this compatible with kraken's better dinos?
Eclipse  [author] 6 Mar, 2024 @ 7:57am
There need to be deinons at the locations and they need to be stasised before they'll spawn
mackrealiv 6 Mar, 2024 @ 7:37am
I checked a few, no nests, not eggs.
I guess I'll just keep checking them periodically.
Eclipse  [author] 6 Mar, 2024 @ 7:08am
Nope just loaded LI up in the kit, no deinon nest points to interfere. Most likely just none of them are close enough or still on the longer cooldown from initial world load
Eclipse  [author] 6 Mar, 2024 @ 7:05am
Egg spawning doesnt work like that, are you sure you're not confusing it with mateboost? They grab a custom actor list with the associated tag, find the nearest location in the list, check how far away it is, check if there's a nest structure blocking it, and spawn a fertilised egg and nest structure if successful. They do not breed, and all that nest structures do is block spawning.

They absolutely do because I check the locations every time i get a comment. Here's a screenshot: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1144616042644111440/1214950613452988446/image.png?ex=65faf9ee&is=65e884ee&hm=9c3215b833c6b7f7087ad49c168b5e5d9d05b8f8ecf74010c3120ca90704b827&

The only potential thing I can think of is an issue like ASA had with WC leaving wyvern nests in the overseer arena, that only affected servers because singleplayer doesnt load the area

Here's a list of the coordinates for SetPlayerPos. they'll only spawn a nest if they're close enough to one of these locations

What I mean by the breeding process is they will get the hearts over their head, then both head for the nearest nest I placed, but it then disappears.
The wiki you linked has the same commands listed and instructions on how to use 'getallstate' (which works for everything else, and works for the nests that I force spawn with the summon command.) The only thing noticeably different between the two sites for this is the 'destroyall' command is indicated to require another value at the end now, but doesn't indicate anything about requiring another value at the end for 'getallstate' (a list of additional values is provided at the end of the output, the player only needs to input that value when looking for a specific entity.)
https://ark.wiki.gg/wiki/Deinonychus_Nest

I've tried hanging out around each of the three packs for around thirty minutes each, no eggs or nest spawn automatically for Deinonychus on Lost Island.
Eclipse  [author] 6 Mar, 2024 @ 2:56am
Also, that command is outdated and getallstgate requires another value at the end now
Eclipse  [author] 6 Mar, 2024 @ 2:42am
Firstly; the wiki moved years ago, fandom is rife with vandalism at this point, use https://ark.wiki.gg/wiki/Deinonychus
Not sure what you mean by a breeding process because egg spawning doesn't do anything like that, they just have a timer before they look for a nest point close enough to them. And the video is just an example for how to apply the process, it's not referring to deinonychus at all
mackrealiv 6 Mar, 2024 @ 12:46am
Another person here not finding the Deinonychus nests on Lost Island, therefore no eggs. Installed this mod before creating the 'server' (playing local/single player), so didn't do the wild dino wipe step (is that the issue?)
I tried using the information from the notes here:
https://ark.fandom.com/wiki/Deinonychus_Nest_(Valguero)
However, 'cheat getallstate DeinonychusNest_C' doesn't have any returns. When I try 'cheat summon DeinonychusNest_C' near one of the three packs they start the breeding process but the nest despawns before they can complete it, resetting them.
I watched the video, and I think the info in that is part of the problem. Following that example the referenced dino spawns at the edges of the swamps in the south-west of the island but the three packs of Deinonychus spawn in the steppes in the east of the island.

I have an egg that has been sitting at 1% incubation for a long time and it constantly says too cold and I even took it to the volcano and set it there and it still said to cold. Not sure how to hatch the eggs.
Eclipse  [author] 28 Jan, 2024 @ 11:08pm
further in, no nests on the edges
SgtMello 28 Jan, 2024 @ 5:23pm
there on the borders on the snow zones on the island only, is the borders a good spot of should i look else where
Eclipse  [author] 28 Jan, 2024 @ 4:30am
they attempt to spawn on unstasis assuming a nest location is close enough
SgtMello 27 Jan, 2024 @ 9:06pm
ive seen a few wild ones and you said it will take time but how long do i have to wait on this cliff
Eclipse  [author] 25 Jan, 2024 @ 10:34pm
When i have time, i've been busy with commissions lately
SgtMello 25 Jan, 2024 @ 6:39pm
When will it be on AB
Eclipse  [author] 24 Jan, 2024 @ 12:45am
Alright went and doubled nest seeking range while I was at it. After the initial cooldown on world start, nests should be more consistent now
Eclipse  [author] 23 Jan, 2024 @ 3:40pm
hang on i have an update cooked that just sets the timer to 1 second so might as well push that now
Eclipse  [author] 23 Jan, 2024 @ 3:39pm
egg mecahnics are unedited aside from making them faster than vanilla. from the comment below: on a timer of 15 minutes, when unstasised, they attempt to spawn an egg if they're close enough to a nest location

they function perfectly waiting out the mechanic. has been verified multiple times ingame.
ChronoWight 23 Jan, 2024 @ 1:10pm
i was saying that i can find them but cant find the eggs
ChronoWight 23 Jan, 2024 @ 1:09pm
for me to, hi again eclipse i like your mods
DarkBeardy 21 Jan, 2024 @ 2:23pm
Cant find any nests at all, am i meant to do something, they are spawning normally, just no nests
EanFeathyrs 19 Jan, 2024 @ 3:55pm
Thanks, I was just failing to find any nest locations, but one of my tribemates says they saw one.
So I was just unlucky Thank you!
Eclipse  [author] 19 Jan, 2024 @ 3:42pm
on a timer of 15 minutes, when unstasised, they attempt to spawn an egg if they're close enough to a nest location
EanFeathyrs 19 Jan, 2024 @ 3:15pm
So, do they spawn around were a nest structure is, or does a nest structure spawn around them after some time (like with beavers and their dam)?

Or are the eggs just on the ground and we have to try to find them in the grass?

We are playing on Lost island and do Not have KBD, am I just incredibly unlucky with 3 packs I've been watching, or am I missing a mod somewhere?
DrowsyLemon 19 Jan, 2024 @ 2:09am
I guess i'll keep looking. If i can't find anything, i can always check fjordur instead
Eclipse  [author] 18 Jan, 2024 @ 7:03pm
Probably just bad luck since it's only noticeable when they spawn with those highest levels
DrowsyLemon 18 Jan, 2024 @ 9:42am
Thank you, they're spawning now! One minor issue: They seem to be spawning at regular dino levels even though both custom levels and kbd should be giving them wyvern levels? Is there any way to fix this, or will i have to search the vanilla deino nests?
Eclipse  [author] 17 Jan, 2024 @ 6:44am
yes you always need to dinowipe when spawns are added (or kill everything in the area)
DrowsyLemon 17 Jan, 2024 @ 6:10am
They don't seem to be spawning on lost island. Do i need to dinowipe? is it conflicting with KBD? i haven't seen a single one so far
