PLEASE UPDATE TO 1.15! it stops land tech from giving breakthrough progress, and when put into practice means you only get 2 breakthroughs by mid-late 1940's

The Mod messes with some events like the death of King George V. It is therefor not possible to go monarchist as great brittain. Lov ethe idea of the mod though^^

I'm not sure why, but fairly recently this mod broke in a few ways, firstly EVERYTHING is a lot slower now, not sure if it's a mod change, they updated the game to make it less fun or what, but the max speed of stuff is like, half of what it used to be in some cases, and making an AT specialized armored car has it significantly slower than the vanilla one.
Second, the oscillating turret module added by the mod just straight up does not work like the vanilla road to 56 one (IE doesn't let you put medium guns on light tanks) and it never has, which wasn't a problem until recently when the vanilla R56 one just... vanished. Can't add it anymore.
Third, and I'm not sure if this is another mod conflict or what, but the tank destroyer spec just... applies an absurd amount of penalties to everything, including a penalty to both piercing and hard attack (Thus defeating the point of a tank destroyer) and bafflingly reduces hardness to 0%

I'm relatively certain that this mod does not let you use the AT Rifle module from base R56, because after reloading my save, it said that I had no weapon selected for my td, when I had put on the AT Rifle. So, in conclusion; it is an absolute bummer for tankette players. (You also don't get the tankette superstructure, which is incredibly stupid, because the only mod where you can use it in is R56).

the only fix this needs is the AI but this mod is basicaly perfect for everything else,u can make perfectly accurate modern day tanks,veichles and spg; i dont play this mode when im doing ww2 games but i love this for modern day roleplay and ovveral mode modern warfare system and stuff.

I had to disable it since the AI is just not using tanks, armored cars or troop transports.

This mod should've been part of the base game and at some point you may end up with enough mil factories to spend on incredibly expensive uber armored panzers with night vision and the latest model of every tech but the AI just gets stuck with the radio modules in the wrong slots and they just end up in late 1940 with no armored vehicles of any kind.

First of all, thanks for the great mod.
the problem is that "the AI does not automatically design new tanks". It seems to me that this is caused by them failing to design the right tanks. I have the R56 mod installed and playing.
They are indeed designing tanks. But, for example, they try to mount two radios, (USA AI placed improved radios in the upper module slots of the M4 Sherman and many other tanks. This is an impossible maneuver for us players). or attempt to place modules in inappropriate locations. (In the case of the USA M18 Hellcat, the EQ_MOD_CAT_hull_mod_TITLE module (sloped armor) was added to the upper module
We also found that the AI will try to produce and employ appropriate tanks designed by the player; letting the AI design them appropriately seems to be the solution to the problem,

This mod is great, but there seems to be a balancing issue in the late game. I've been experimenting with a bunch of different division and equipment designs, and I've noticed that the mechanized equipment is so powerful that it just blows all tanks out of the water. The strongest "tank division" I could make was actually just all mechanized and no tanks. I'm not sure if that's the case at every stage, as I've only tested with modern mechanized and the most advanced of each tank version (light, med, heavy and modern tanks, TDs and SPGs)

Great mod, can you consider increase the performance of super heavy tanks?or install a powerful artillery for them?
Their cost effectiveness is not high, I hardly ever thought about manufacturing such tanks

the ai was not create any tank variant , instead they only used interwar tank design like the
Grosstraktor for germany.

Hi! First I appreciate your work.

But I have a ask for you, The RT 56 mod have been update since November 10th, in this update it add two MIO for germany: Hanomag and Erma Werke.

The Erma Werke simply is just about support equipment but the Hanomag is about Mechnize equipment and train, and that is the problem start.

I try some DIY for some of code between RT56 and your compatible mod for RT56 but the problem didn't solve well.

I hope you can make a update for compatible mod.

@ChineeNooder Ok, figured it out: it happens when you have no mech chassis designed; once you create a design, combat width will go back to it's normal value. Now, I don't know why that happens but it is what it is.

Not sure why it's doing this, but it's only when Expanded Tank Designer is enabled. I've included a photo of an early motorized division, and a mech. They're the same division except the second photo is with mechanized swapped in- note the combat width. Never seen it brought to 3 decimals before.
Naturally, this makes mechanized infantry beyond broken, especially for MobWar countries like Germany.

Great mod, but theres a big issue with mechanized equipment- it seems to lower combat width through research which kinda breaks the late game. Is this an error or a feature?

And what do you mean by SS divisions "do not give the mechanized equipment"? Mechanized equipment is unlocked by researching the mech chassis
