For convenience, SV's could be park on the top spine near the drone/top hatch for fast access.
The Advanced thrusters are something of a transition stage, and could absolutely run with larges before hand. I did show some placement, but I could have been more clear on that. As for the 1 Drive thruster in the back, thats not essential, but could be installed for people that want to transit out of high G environments
Also, the weight can pile up for people wanting to stretch out a full upgraded version. Imagine 15-17 tier two turrets, a mix of 12 mounted weapons, all cargo filled, shield parts in, and fully upgraded SVs / HVs with filled cargo, and the 1 Drive thruster option starts to make sense. I also wanted to consider the scenario of players using all the moddable space for additional cargo systems.
On the point of the carbon ship, with RG2 around the corner with some of its weapons having shield penetration, i've become skittish about carbon builds :/
But I love how this build is super flexible and the base spawn in was easy. I think another interesting build might be a carbon ship that's flies well with mediums/larges, and maybe is a little less flex in future roles(non combat only). But I'm definitely sold on the CV base starter concept.
Thank you @Skraken and filbertfarmer!
@Wandraak Thank you. I plan to post a partially upgraded version (core 4) in the future, with most of the devices slotted in etc., and armor upgrades since it won't have to adhere to a steel starter cost
@Barefoot horizontal? Thats heresy XD
@AKStormtrooper Using size class as a barometer for ship class? if thats the case, thats a tough one because it is so inconsistent. You could have 2 ships with same outer dimensions, and they could be wildly different in size class due to prolific use of lights, rounds, truss blocks etc. in one.
Thank you @Capt Zoom, and Domaorn!
Hello Tiberium!
Thank you @John Wick, and Alastria
@Achenar but then you would never have built a mini Prometheus
@Myrmidon Funny that you should mention the Fondor Haulcraft, since that was discussed today as a potential build. Torpedoes would be awesome, though I do rarely use them
@Sgt Roc Thank you, and i'm glad to hear that the synergy between the builds and the videos is working out well. o7
@barefoot Thank you. I complimented your build on Jeff's video today. Nice work! I haven't looked at your Tie Fighters, though I find that often the side panels are too tall to not obstruct the landing gear from the Gozanti to touching the ground. Hopefully it works out for you
PS Since the type is CV would you consider using Torpedo launchers in the way Fondor Haulcraft Luthen Rael's ship has (From Andor series), in order to launch a surprise barrage of torpedoes to unsuspected vessels the player encounters?
I was watching you videos on this one, glad it is out. Great work as always! I love how the Ties hang off the wings.
I would have probably just used this instead of spending all the time miniaturizing my Prometheus, if it came out a week ago :P
