altough its been a while ever since he posted
i was so happy because the other broly mod was just a ssl april fools
thank you for this
In short, Broly's a lot of fun and it's awesome to finally have him in the game proper, but these things I listed here hold him back from being truly great, and I think you should take a look into them. Sorry if this sounds like a lot, but I wanted to give my honest feedback on the character and see what you think.
Cheers :) (3/3)
Lastly is his damage output. While I understand that this is an integral part of the character, he deals way too little damage for the few combos he can do. Some moves like his jab, F-tilt and D-Tilt are fine, but his Up-Tilt, Strongs, Specials, and especially aerials don't do nearly as much damage as they should. Him having damage buffs to his moves would work wonders even if their knockback stays the same. His kit is tailor-made for dealing 3-4 hit combos before resetting to neutral (from my experience), but in his current state, his damage output really hinders that IMO. (2/3)
For starters, I love the incorporation of armour into his moveset, plus going with a sheer size for him. Both are pretty on-brand for the character and they work well enough. I also like his more unorthodox move pool, as you need to be creative with how you string his moves together. In terms of his concept, Broly is solid and I've been enjoying him so far.
However, there are a decent amount of issues I've been experiencing with the character that I thought I would bring to light. First off, Broly's recovery is...genuinely awful. It barely takes him anywhere, and while he does have good air speed, even so much as sneezing on him while he's offstage is enough to kill him very early. I think if you boosted the height of his Up Special, his recovery would be better. It can stay as a flaw of his overall moveset, but improving this would improve his survival. (1/3)
