It's literally just a visual indicator for those cheap "no, you can't portal here from this spot" moments. I compared the other fields all to this one . . . this one fit the bill. I might revisit this in the future, but as for right now, it is what it is, mainly because I have other things to do.
But anyways . . . I tried it. Threw stuff at the wall and saw what stuck.
I'm happy that there's actually still people like you on the workshop that aren't brainwashed into thinking everything is great. There's some stuff that's highly rated on here that really shouldn't be, my stuff included.

This map was basically made in two days to get the idea "out there" and to gather feedback on what works and what doesn't [thanks for the feedback, by the way - it really helps]
It's sole existence resulted from the need to make a surface "un-portalable" from certain locations in a map without hindering movement or seeming cheap - people hate not being able to place portals on surfaces usually portalable. That said, I'm considering developing some more "Advanced" usage of the element - if time allows.
Thanks again!
1. It blocks the portal "beams" from going through them, just like a regular fizzler.
2. It doesn't reset the player's portal gun when you pass though it.
3. It allows cubes through it.
4. It allows test subjects through it.
Other fizzlers created by Fourth Reaper and Lpfreaky90:

Now the stuff that didn't make sense to use the blue fizzler:
Room 2 didn't really demonstrate it's use.
Room 3 a regular fizzler would have worked just as well.
=p
This is your new bible. Pray to it at night. Eat sushi in front of it. Whatever. If you do the tutorials correctly, you will achieve mapper level 1 and be permitted to love Shrek.
You WILL play this guys map or you will die a very sad and lonely person.
Gratz on the front page, great chambers, and nice title pun too, surprised no one called you out on it yet. This field is probably the hardest to turn into something useful and you did it! Chamber 2 kinda sucks for demonstrating how it works... maybe launching the box through the field in ch1 could work just as nice
I wonder if this would play nice with the Inquisition fields... could get real cool, real fast.
