The updated version of this mod is nearing completion and is currently available for friends-only here
I'm aiming to release this on Friday if no critical issues pop-up.
If you want to check it out early, just send me a friend invite.
To anyone trying it out, please feel free to provide feedback!
Cheers,
Lex
Hey What the Bob Doin,
Thank you:)
Just to inform you, I've been working on this mod a lot again to have it work with the coming update/DLC. The new version will be released as a separate mod and this mod will be kept as a legacy mod (assuming the current version will still be available for playing, as has been done with v1.0.0.3). This version will no longer be updated.
The new version will have quite a lot of changes, new content and will require the DLC to play it.
Currently I'm giving priority to Mashtato, but this will be the priority after. :)
Cheers,
Lex
Sadly this is a known issue I've been unable to fix. I've not been able to reproduce the stuttering, so I don't know where to start fixing it. Hopefully this will no longer be an issue in the next version, after the official update/DLC is released.
disabled everything else and the Stutter is gone - turned also all settins off. only disabling this seems to stop the lags, anyone else affected?
This mod does not change any music at all. There's only a custom sound for when the Werewolf counter for weapon upgrades reaches 0.
There's always a possibility of incompatibility and I'm always happy to receive feedback :) the more details on the issue, the better I'd be able to figure it out. Thanks!
I fear it may conflict with the Neuro-sama mod by DayMoniakk. That mod changes a lot more than I was anticipating. ^^' So I may disable the Neuro mod and update you, sir.
Multiple players are reporting this, however it's hard for me to test it as I'm unable to replicate this. Currently I'm working on this mod for the coming update, so hopefully it'll be fixed in the next version!
Hello Hardins,
How strange! I hope this bug will also no longer be present with the next update.
You're right, it is quite good. I appreciate the suggestion!
I think it's fine though, as it's a unique and quite expensive for its tier. Also, it scales on level-up, so I'm not sure if it'll even be worth getting it later in the game at all (which would happen if it were a purple tier).
I have been considering changing it though, but to a flat HP regen bonus and a negative %dmg on level-up. Then you'd be trading better early-game survivability for less late-game killing potential, instead of better late-game survivability for less early-game killing potential. This'll make it worse (I think), so that would address your feedback, but with a different approach. What do you think?
Just released an update, please see the changes in the change notes.
Cheers!
Well I could also take out the interaction, but I think it's hilarious, so better to make it compatible. :)
Thank you <3
Regarding the bug, sounds like it's most likely an incompatibility with another mod. Do you mind posting your modlist? Then I could probably figure out which mod it is.
It was pretty funny seeing that :) fixing it wasn't too complicated, so it'll be compatible on the next update.
Thanks for letting me know, I have to try that out! Sounds like it'd be fun if it works together without crashing :)
It's probably because both critters and trees are based on the Neutral class. I think turning off the option for Critters would probably allow you to play it.
I think I know why this is happening, but for now, restarting the game after changing the settings, should not result in stuttering (I hope).
I'll work on this and the other issues for the next update, though I'm not sure when that'll be.
I disabled all three during a round, nothing changed. No stuttering, but no visuals changed. Which was as expected. Then the next round everything stuttered, but the visuals didn't change either. Still witchery reskinned items. Changed it again then the next round everything was fine again. Still witchery skinned items.
My pleasure! <3
Update is now live, please see change log for all the changes. Please note it now supports ModOption by Dami, with this it's possible to adjust the settings in-game.
Please do let me know if you still encounter crashes/bugs/stuttering with this mod.
Just a heads up that I found and fixed the issue regarding the crashes (not live yet). Also I've added support for ModOption by Dami, so you'll be able to change the settings in game.
Shuffled some code around, so hopefully the stuttering issue some people are having will also be fixed. When this update is live, I'd like anyone who had this stutter issue to confirm if it's been fixed. I've not been able to replicate it, so could really use the feedback.
Before pushing this update, I just need to do a bunch more testing to make sure everything is OK. There'll be also be some minor changes. As always the details will be in the change log.
I'm hoping to push it live tonight, otherwise it'll be later this week.
Cheers,
Lex
Sadly the December update broke this mod and I've been unavailable lately. I'm hoping to work on a fix for this mod soon (when it works, it is fun
Hoping that the mod gets fixed soon, It looks really fun! 😁
I'm aware there's been an update and sad to hear it broke this mod. :(
Unfortunately I don't have the opportunity to look into this any time soon. I'll focus on a fix for this mod when I can and I'll make sure to leave a comment here when it's working again.
Sorry for the inconvenience!
The official version of Brotato has been updated, but with this mod installed, it crashes a few seconds after the wave starts.
I know you are busy and don't have time to fix it, but I would appreciate it if you could fix it as soon as possible.
Thanks for your input! I appreciate the feedback.
This is my first time working with this configurable input, so I'll have to dig a little deeper to find out what's causing this. It'll probably be quite challenging, especially as I've not been able to replicate it.
Are either of you interested in testing potential fixes for this? If so, please add me on discord. That way I'll be able to send you the zip directly without having to do uploads.
Please be aware my time is very limited until the end of the year and I'm also working on other projects, so there'll probably not be a fix soon. Sorry :(
Did you restart your game after changing the settings? What about if you start a new run? Do you play with many other mods? Did the critters stop spawning? What about trees, are they spawning properly? Any other details you can tell me?
Is anyone else having this issue? So far I've been unable to replicate it.
Sorry for the many questions, but without any other information, I can't do any bugfixing.
The update is now live! Check out the instruction in the change notes should you want to disable some or all of the visuals. Also please let me know if there's any issues.
Happy gaming!
Just a heads-up that there'll be an update for this mod soon. Mostly just some minor changes, but also a setting that'll allow you to enable/disable the consumables/critters/trees. Details will ofcourse be in the change notes. They're all enabled by default, so if you want to keep everything as is, you don't need to do anything.
Cheers,
Lex
Happy to hear it!
That's possible, someone else also requested it and I've already built it. I just need to do some more testing before it's going live.
Have fun :)
The bounce dmg penalty will still apply to those btw, it's probably just something you'd not really notice as their base bounce dmg reduction is 0%. I still don't mind adding those though, so they'll be available with the next update.
Hey EclipticEquinox,
I think you also commented on Mashtato, but I'll just repeat it here in case you missed it: make sure to install all the required items as well.
Hello PusheenTheCat,
Haha happy to hear you're enjoying the pack! :)
And with "special bounce" I mean weapons that have a special ability that causes bounces, like the slingshot or the shuriken, which IIRC always do full damage on a bounce, even if they get the bounce from an item (and I assume character ability) instead of their own ability. So those would be quite useful to the Skeleton.
