if i remember correctly Armor Upgrades has a config option to brig back the vest slot. You would need to use that.

What confuses me most in the description of Armor Upgrades is the following:
"Vest Slot - No longer needed as all vests are armor upgrades now. If you still enable it, this mod will quickly disable the slot and you will not see it. If another mod needs it like Iridar's Vest and Plating Overhaul, please enable it."

I'm worried that the slot will be hidden and I just won't see your vests.

1. I have the mod "[WOTC] Armour Upgrades", which also converts vests.
2. I also have the mod "[WOTC] Savage Items BETA 0.52 - Bugfixes and Secrets"
3. I supplemented the configs so that vests from Savage Items are converted to Armour Upgrades

The question is, how will all this work with this mod "Stukovs Savage Augmentations"

Is there a list of augments and what they do? I want to salivate over them as I'm already 50 hours into a run

added two abilities to the Webbing Vest.
These Abilities will unlock 1 Speciality Slot where you can put either a Canister or a PsiAmp

I'm assuming (from the mod description) that you could also(?) use it in the vest slot? Well, if not, moving it to the vest slot would be another option

I think the "Webbing Vest" should be changed to give 2 utility slots now instead of 1, since now equipping it CONSUMES a utility slot, so you go from 3 utility slots to 3 utility slots (+1 from the webbing vest, -1 from the slot used up BY the webbing vest) + penalties to spotting distance and doge. If it gave +2 utility slots while it itself consumed a utility slot, then itd end up as a net +1 utility slots, which seems more intentional considering it has downsides like dodge and spotting distance.

Dumb question probaly lol but I don't use the Augmentations mod in my setup, so do the items converted into Augments not appear?

Yeah, I don't think it gives too many options. Lol, I was actually coming back here to complain about the missing underlay slot (I had actually gotten so used to it, I don't think I can live without it anymore, lol)

@Stukov - It's cool. Think of it as 'AML has soldiers with lots of slots for all of the various different things' compared to 'Stukov's War has less slots but more nuanced, task-specific items'.

but i still don't understand how it would be different though?
before you would put the a-mod in the a-mod slot AND get an extra utility slot for free
now you put it in the augmentation slot and NOT get an extra utility slot
not a single new item got created by this notmod

maybe it's just a language barrier that i can't understand your reasoning. Anyways it is no problem, mods and notmods are there to pick and chose

@Stukov - What we mean is less options in gameplay focus on creating layers of overpowered combinations of equipment and skills, rather instead you've more a focus on maximising the use of the limited, more specific and nuanced equipment you do have to combat more directly overwhelming threats.

That's a general design motif difference between the AML O+E and Stukov's War , despite your work being the go-to LWOTC experience and our in-game tribute being our best attempt at imitation =)

This looks very nice! I do enjoy more utilities slots, is there a configuration option to still allow an extra utility slot? 7 extra slots seems excessive lol

i personally don't see how a million new items is less options
but yes it does take away multiple additional utility slots because i found it silly to have 7 utility slots on a soldier because of the a-mods :)

it's actually more options now for augmentations and you lose the a-mod slot you would have gotten for free.

but my experiences may be a bit different as i have changed almost all items from Savage Items to not be buildable and instead loot. Still i think even without it this notmod here increases the choices you have to make. IF you use Augmentations that is.

Nice idea, but will skip this one as it's definitely pulling things in 'less options, more min-max' style that isn't for us.
