Why does it take me to an abandoned area when I teleport? Is it an abandoned area of the lab or somewhere else?

No, someone just stole the flare gun.
P4NxZ3R 21 Apr @ 9:48am
I see the ammunition yet i don't see the flare gun, is that a bug or did you not put the flare gun into the game?
fatalyst  [author] 20 Apr @ 2:44pm
The flare gun and ammunition for it are usually stored there, in case something happens.
P4NxZ3R 20 Apr @ 7:31am

TheMan 19 Mar @ 7:23am
thanks for the help

You can change props, textures and even the map itself, if you unzip this addon from the GMod addon folder.
The files are mounted into the map itself so that the files of a specific addon don't conflict with the files of another addon.
I won't supplement the map lore itself, but i'll supplement the lore of the universe itself, where AU and the like exist.
The collection related to this lore is here .
TheMan 17 Mar @ 2:15am
but do you plan on adding more lore to the map? like disasters that happened in the lab, war crimes or more AU dimension
TheMan 17 Mar @ 2:15am
it would be cool to change the texture and prop though this is only a suggestion
fatalyst  [author] 16 Mar @ 12:39am
Yes, but why should i create this?
TheMan 15 Mar @ 11:19pm
is it possible for you to create it?
fatalyst  [author] 14 Mar @ 11:50pm
Of course, it's not difficult.
TheMan 14 Mar @ 11:31pm
@fatalyst, is it possible to create the same map as this but it requires the textures instead of being packed in?
fatalyst  [author] 11 Mar @ 9:56pm
Tomorrow.
YOUCANNOTBEATUS 11 Mar @ 6:43pm
Monorail when?
fatalyst  [author] 26 Feb @ 11:43am
Yes, Garry's Mod has some issues with saves, but it's not the map itself that's to blame.
Zevimi 26 Feb @ 8:51am
So making a save here is a bit hard. I moved, destroyed, and deleted a bunch of props but when i load the save most of it respawns.
skill-less 14 Jan @ 11:19am
@fatalyst a man who can realize his lore instead of just writing it down is epic
Jackal3694 17 Nov, 2024 @ 8:06pm
Should I expect to find someTHING in the lab section?
fatalyst  [author] 30 Oct, 2024 @ 2:58pm
In this version, it's not.
In the abandoned version, it can be opened, but not in the usual way.
GentleNight 30 Oct, 2024 @ 2:40pm
Greeting sir, Will the door near the fire camp be fonctional? :steamhappy:
Critas 28 Oct, 2024 @ 12:14am
have you tried rubbing baby oil all over your laptop and covering it in rice?
Critas 28 Oct, 2024 @ 12:13am
maybe
TCN_535 30 Sep, 2024 @ 1:13pm
It crashes my game. Is my laptop too weak to run this map?
Hank Newman 14 Sep, 2024 @ 8:16am
understandable. Thank you for the information, the lore is pretty good
fatalyst  [author] 14 Sep, 2024 @ 8:13am
yep, wall of text
fatalyst  [author] 14 Sep, 2024 @ 8:12am
I really took this sphere from gm_boreas and gave it my own meaning.
Since this lab is connected to that AU with a concrete city and a concrete sky above it, a concrete sphere appeared next to the lab due to frequent teleportations, directly connected to that AU.
Just a regular anomaly.
I should have explained this lore through maps (what was, is and will be), but let it be in the comments for those who don't like studying other people's maps.
fatalyst  [author] 14 Sep, 2024 @ 8:12am
About the lore.
"Blue Mountain Lab. is a subsidiary scientific corporation of Black Mesa.
It studies AU - parts of the real world artificially changed by the infosphere.
A piece of the real world is taken, a part of its infosphere is changed and this piece of the world disappears from the real world forever, leaving an empty field in its previous place, sometimes small anomalies are formed in these places.
The AU themselves are also full of anomalies, mainly logical ones, such as: moved buildings, distortion of light, etc."

The name AU is wrong in relation to those worlds, since they are not a reality where everything went a different way.
But this name was the first and was fixed in the terminology, just like in the real world with Indians and North America.
fatalyst  [author] 14 Sep, 2024 @ 8:12am
I don't like large maps precisely because of the stretching of the logic of certain zones or the complete chaos regarding the presence of a particular building in this or that place.
gm_boreas is a good and large map, but because of its large size (both externally and internally) the comfort of the map completely disappears, you are simply at a loss where to go and why you are here.
Even in small buildings there can be a dozen rooms that are not very different from other similar rooms, and it may also turn out that for some reason some room is closed and completely inaccessible to the player.
Because of this, the player's construction and memorization of the plan of this building is disrupted, the comfort of presence disappears and only difficulty in orientation comes.
fatalyst  [author] 14 Sep, 2024 @ 8:12am
The cramped lab and the small number of rooms are explained by the meaning of each room.
As you can see from the plan, each room has its own meaning and performs its own function.
Even the only storage in the lab is divided into 3 sections with their own meaning.

Since the lab in which the player is located is quite small and insignificant, the presence of a second storage and a testing room is simply unnecessary and illogical.
Besides, this lab is really small, but is it so bad?
This is a small and cozy lab, where you know where each room is and what it's for.
fatalyst  [author] 14 Sep, 2024 @ 8:11am
@Hank Newman There is nothing wrong with that, i use Google Translate to translate large texts, occasionally correcting mistakes and only adding abbreviations.
Hank Newman 14 Sep, 2024 @ 7:07am
sorry for bad english
Hank Newman 14 Sep, 2024 @ 7:07am
although if its not asking for too much, what is the sphere they found? But either way, I love to play on this map, since it kinda reminds me of gm_boreas, as its a snow laboratory with a sphere inside it. like a mini boreas
Hank Newman 14 Sep, 2024 @ 7:05am
I would suggest one or two more storage rooms, and perhaps a testing room. I don't know what else was Mountain Lab testing other than the portal, and perhaps the sphere. Just a suggestion, though. I know Hammer is very hard.
