i have some ideas for other iterator related creatures that became defective:

miras birds, like miros birds but with 2 heads and a sorta flower like mouth on one of the heads and are also slower with 4 legs

underseers, overseers with a body with red stripes, 4 pupils and 2 tentacles

moron flies, neuron flies that have 1 or 4 tentacles and crawl instead of fly (so technically neuron crawls?) and cant maintain much info for long

and the lesser leviathan that has more of a miros bird beak and is half the size of a normal leviathan

I'd say arguably, this is definitely a lot worse than there being no Inspectors by that point in the timeline. Everything's so far gone that even the systems in place meant to protect the Iterator's inner workings can't form properly, let alone function. What's worse, the malignant cysts that can think of nothing but consuming whatever they touch, or malfunctioning protectors that view everything--even themselves--as potential threats?
...What I guess I'm trying to say is that this honestly could've been an official thing, it's such a neat (if absolutely horrifying) concept! If only this mod existed while I was doing my own Rivulet campaign, it would've made the experience of traversing all of that a lot more... interesting.

Up next: Spectors, the four headed giant ancestor of the Inspectors that have trash compactors in their throats instead of spear holders.

so, basically, the aggressive inspectors have 1-2 heads? just a bit confused because the 2° image shows an angry inspector with 3 heads
