It didn't work for me. I read the old comments and tried self revive auto first, then manual and set time (in both chat and console) and still didn't work. I checked the config and saw no txt file created. I created txt files manually as the comments instructed and still didn't work even restarted the game. so I tried to set the manually created txt files to read only and still didn't work

how do you turn off the self sevive hint?

now its just not working at all

seems to cause the game over to not happen, meaning I must manually restart the chapter

@inXsify Hmm, I see... Thank you for reporting! As soon as possible I'll check and test to fix, if it really is a bug. BTW, if you can, when the possible bug occurs, open the l4d2 console and see if there is any error related to Self Revive and send it here. (if you can, if not, that's fine)

Not sure what it would be. I play with a variety of other mods on but i never had trouble with it in the past. Like I said I havent played in a few months. But recently, I tried to play as I had been, and its different. I easily had a couple hundred hours of gameplay with auto revive and I know for certain this bug didn't exist last year.

@inXsify Hello! This is strange, I've tried to bug the mod on purpose and it never bugs. Even when playing normally. I can't understand why this happens to some people. Is there something specific you do and so this bugs?

This mod used to work very well for me, but recently the auto revive has become very inconsistent. I'm having an issue where it will randomly stop working. Not just for one player, but the whole team. I haven't played much since February, but back then this mod worked great for me.

Hi, I love your mod, especially when I'm playing on expert, but regarding the letters, as many of us have become familiar with, for a more realistic experience, could you create a file to enable and disable the letters? that would be really cool :)

Ofc but can u make it small text and less spamming in player face ? Like each 3 second to announce text once

@Sick Duck You can't. I put this text so that people can see it and know how to use it and escape.

alr I checked the files aaand nope, the two files mentioned are already there. Once again in my case it's not a crashing problem, is that when I try to hold shift to self revive it simply doesn't work. The text telling me to hold shift to self-revive doesn't even show up anymore

It's not that it crashes me when it try to use it, it's just that nothing happens when I hold shift. Which is weird since everything was just normal in my previous playthroughs before this problem showed up

For anyone crashing when using this: double check the files in "left4dead2/ems/sr_self_revive". The two text files-"self_revive_method.txt" and "self_revive_time.txt"-that were supposed to be there, weren't. adding those fixed the crash.

The default settings and how the files are structured:
self_revive_method: "manual" (without "")
self_revive_time: "6" (without "")

How ironic, mine works perfectly. I'm not going to argue or respond to anyone else who comes here and says "it doesn't work" when it does. I can prove to you that it works.

@Northzur89 I didn't do any integration with the Admin System so it's not necessary.

@Northzur89 I have already tested it without the Admin System and it worked normally.

@Ink Try to check the survivor skins firstly, I know looks nonsense but it's faster than try all the mods at once.

yeah it crashes and nothing anymore, ima check 1 by 1 all the mods i have and check which one affects my gameplay

@Ink If doesn't work, can be memory issue, too many HD mods and the L4D2 ram usage is limited to 2GB, so you can try to remove some HD mods.

Another thing BTW, you can't CTRL + TAB or left the L4D2 at the background while playing, for some reason this also crashes the game. You can put "Borderless Fullscreen" and that's all, will be solved.

@Ink I mean all survivor skins to disable, like Coach, Rochelle and all that.

@Ink Btw, do you see some message when crashes? Or just crash and nothing anymore? Well, anyway, try this I said. I know looks nonsense but you can trust me and at least try. (I'm sure about this, already tested and occured with me)

@Ink If so, enable them one by one and test if they crash when receiving a jump from the Hunter.

@Ink I'm pretty sure it's a skin that's doing this. Specifically survivor skins. Try disabling all skins and playing the game and see if it stops crashing. The reason this happens is that some skins for some reason don't handle when the Hunter jumps on you, and then crash.

well, my game keeps crashing but I think that is by any kind of Mod i have, or probably only has a limit of having X mods, I have like 169 Mods-
