Guys! This mod is now obsolete. The author of the original mod has returned to work and, accordingly, my work is finished (for now).

Now that the original mod was updated (along with all the others), it would be a great time to clarify what the difference is here for folks, if this is still needed etc. <3 Thanks!

Obviously, if you just want Versatile Engineers, this will let you have that with just this one mod (/wo Derpy's relatively new asset pack), correct?

Guys! I didn't wait and fixed everything before the weekend! Now, this mod is standalone (no dependencies).
The mod was tested in a separate battle with AI and in the campaign - everything works well (version 5.0).

Hey guys, I'll try to make the mod standalone this weekend. But I won't promise that it will work. This will be my first experience in deeper modding (I will need to extract the necessary animations from the dependencies and correctly enable them inside the mod). I will write about the results on Sunday or Monday (May 5 - May 6).

Bro, just try the order like mine (also written in the description):
1. Lost & Found Dwarfs: Complete Collection
2. Dwarf Thunderbarge
3. Versatile Engineers (Recompiled)

Because this mod uses animations from the first two mods. I don't know how to transfer the animations and make the mod independent because I'm a noob at modding. I update the mods I use and share it with others.

Dawi! I understand! Indeed, the problem was in the order in which the mods were loaded. This mod must come AFTER those on which it depends (in the description). If the order is wrong, the miniguns will not work. Thank you very much for your feedback! Kazukan Kazakit-Ha!

Um, people, I don't have problems with the current version of the mod in the current version of the game (4.1.4).
Please check that you have installed the dependencies from the description (two mods).

People! Good news! After a few more tries, I finally figured out what was wrong. This mod has dependencies on two other mods:

1. Lost & Found Dwarfs: Complete Collection

(repairs the Light Crank-Gun because the machine gunners use the same weapon)

2. Dwarf Thunderbarge

(repairs the Heavy Crank-Gun because the legendary hero Malakai Makaisson uses the same weapon)

Today I only tested models and units in a single battle.

Tomorrow I will check the operation of mods in the campaign in the current version of the game (4.1.2). I'll spend a little more time figuring out how to make the mod standalone (no dependencies), but I'm not sure I can handle it. If someone can take on the modification of the mod, good luck to you!

Sorry people, I don't know how to fix this. After diagnostics no errors appeared. I tried to analyze the relationships between tables and files myself, but I don't have enough experience in modding, so I couldn't fix the gatling guns. Perhaps the point is that you need to add new animations for different cases (waiting, aiming, shooting, etc.) and fix old animations, but I don’t work with animations.
When I first recompiled the mod, everything was very simple.
Once again I apologize for the unreasonable expectations.
