I adore this mod... when this will be updated...?
Abaçı 25 Feb @ 4:47am
Even though Roads to Power added many new things, it certainly still left a whole lot of room for improvement for a good Byzantine/Roman Empire play so the dlc certainly does not remove the need for this mod, if anything it adds new, interesting things that are somewhat shallow and the mod can really add a whole lot of depth to, improving on them greatly.

Just Gamin 21 Nov, 2024 @ 5:41pm
there's a Sinews of War mod that's being updated and works on 14.1 "traverse"
Centerplaza #TF2isEasy 17 Nov, 2024 @ 11:01am

I hope this mod is updated I like the idea of the Senate and being able to put Caesars
Captshades 2 Oct, 2024 @ 4:28pm
Also looking forward to an update, even though they did just steal half this mod's thunder ;)

Love this mod. Hope it updates soon

I will be out of town the week after the DLC releases, don't expect an update until after I get back as I don't want to update it with bugs I can't fix.
The_Illusive_Man22 23 Aug, 2024 @ 8:17pm
I want a Senate either to be an elected Imperator or to GTFO the Senate and put a Horse as Senator!
Mars  [author] 21 Aug, 2024 @ 4:19pm
@Iwen: Depends on how many features they add. Would also split development between non DLC and DLC as well.
Iwen 19 Aug, 2024 @ 2:13pm
So what's the future of the mod, with Roads to Power? I assume you might use the Administrative government as a framework, maybe adding extra stuff/features that aren't going to be in the DLC (like a senate)?
Backshot Giver 19 Aug, 2024 @ 10:29am
You have to do the unique decision to go back to imperial. then it shows up
USMC Arthur 18 Aug, 2024 @ 3:53pm
No Senate button...
Mars  [author] 14 Aug, 2024 @ 12:07pm
@Tig Biddies: Will be under courtiers, a button where your senator is at. I'm currently working on better compatibility for GUIs as this was done back before court positions were a feature.
Tig Biddies 14 Aug, 2024 @ 11:16am
How do you view the senate, it doesn't show up for me

Thank you!
spp35 12 Aug, 2024 @ 3:12am
Is this save game compatible?
hamletsdead 4 Aug, 2024 @ 7:25am
@Steelix, there's a patch for Divine Intervention Cheat Menu if you're using that.
Shangyan 22 Jul, 2024 @ 2:33pm
@Steelix That would almost certainly be a mod conflict with another mod that alters the character interaction categories. A cheat menu, perhaps? There's not really much that can be done about that other than to disable the conflicting mod.
Steelix 16 Jul, 2024 @ 7:00pm
Love the detail with this, it does crash my game whenever I right click a character's profile tho
Mars  [author] 15 Jul, 2024 @ 9:01pm
@PhilosopherKing: It is all the same, if there's an issue with the decision involving the specific authority I'll check it out.
PhilosopherKing 15 Jul, 2024 @ 8:56pm
is absolute crown authority different to imperial authority? I have absolute but its inactive in the dismantle senate decision.
Mars  [author] 15 Jul, 2024 @ 12:04pm
@Vaerenn: No, nothing planned yet for the future either.
Jumpboots Jamstrang 14 Jul, 2024 @ 7:04pm
Is there a compatibility patch for Catholic Trinity?
Falubo2008 12 Jul, 2024 @ 2:17pm
im a pagan vassal but stil can not chnage to imperial autocracy, i have 500 prestige but it just tells me i dont fill the requirements, if i make a revolt it might chnage automaticly
PhilosopherKing 10 Jul, 2024 @ 11:18pm
is absolute crown authority different to imperial authority? I have absolute but its inactive in the dismantle senate decision.
Mars  [author] 9 Jul, 2024 @ 3:25pm
@Shangyan: It should, but I know many of the decisions and mechanics are based only for title holders of Byzantium and Roman Empire.
Shangyan 9 Jul, 2024 @ 1:32pm
Much obliged. This isn't a bug or an issue, merely a question. If I were to alter the requirements for the "Reinstate Imperial Autocracy" decision to allow me to do so for any empire, would it effectively let me play with the basic mechanics of this mod as a different empire?
Mars  [author] 8 Jul, 2024 @ 2:20pm
@Shangyan: I see it, caught a few other issues. Will have them fixed within the week.
Shangyan 8 Jul, 2024 @ 11:14am
Yes. In RHOMAIOI_imperial_laws, directly between the limit and custom description in the can_pass, for RHOMAIOI_crown_authority_2 and as the first item in the can_pass for RHOMAIOI_crown_authority_3. They make reference to the crown_authority laws in 00_realm_laws, which do not apply under Imperial Autocracy.
Mars  [author] 7 Jul, 2024 @ 3:13pm
@Shangyan: Could you point out specifically where in the file the issue is occurring?
Shangyan 7 Jul, 2024 @ 1:48pm
I believe I may have identified the error that has kept me from upgrading my imperial authority beyond the second tier. It appears that, in the files, the requirements point toward ordinary crown authority rather than the imperial variant.
Shangyan 5 Jul, 2024 @ 5:47pm
Thank you for helping me find the incompatibility. Loving the mod so far!
Captshades 5 Jul, 2024 @ 4:47pm
"Free Console Access Compatible" works for me. You have to know console commands, but messes with fewer things than an actual interface.
Mars  [author] 5 Jul, 2024 @ 4:37pm
@Shangyan: I would assume the issue is always going to be the cheat menu. In my previous sessions I could never use cheat menus if another mod used custom character interactions.

@Captshades: Could you drop the report in the Bug Reports discussion post to make sure I don't forget about it. Thanks.
Shangyan 5 Jul, 2024 @ 4:32pm
I think it's probably categories, since gaps in the index reportedly result in crashes. I'm going to try each of the interaction category mods one by one and check.
Update: It was the cheat menu.
Captshades 5 Jul, 2024 @ 4:08pm
@mars So I solved #1 and #3, but #2 is bothering me. So I went into the files, and found your RHOMAIOI_imperial_laws file, which has "flag = vassal_internal_wars_banned" listed, but it doesn't show up in game...

@shangyan it was a non-steam mod, I did about 15 start ups whittling it down to the one mod that didn't work. Wouldn't work regardless of the load order too.
Shangyan 5 Jul, 2024 @ 4:05pm
What was the solution, Captshades?

Also, is it more likely to be a problem with character interactions or character interaction categories?

And they include
1. More Interactive Vassals
2. Change Dynasty and House
3. Witchcraft
4. Anti4iterR's Cheat Menu
5. Immortality Improved
6. Custom Nickname
7. Infinite Wards
Mars  [author] 4 Jul, 2024 @ 8:04pm
@Shangyan: Incompatible Character Interactions most likely. What mod are you using that has custom character interactions?
Shangyan 4 Jul, 2024 @ 7:11pm
What area of incompatibility is likely to result in a crash when right clicking any character?
Mars  [author] 4 Jul, 2024 @ 6:28pm
@Captshades:
1. There may be any compatibility issues with anything that modifies the courtier gui until I find a better solution.
2. Imperial Authority feature was delayed until after DLC gets released.
3. That might be an incompatible mod, you can go ahead and post your mods list in the Bug Reports discussion to see if there's an issue with my mod or if it's just a compatibility issue.
Captshades 4 Jul, 2024 @ 5:56pm
Few questions:
1. Is the senate button no longer a thing or do I have a GUI mod conflict somewhere?
2. With the Imperial Authority changes, is there somewhere else to control whether vassals can do wars?
3. I get a hard crash when I right click my own character, is that just me?
Glad to have the mod back either way though!
Mars  [author] 3 Jul, 2024 @ 11:11pm
@King Daemon: I just checked and was able to use the Royal Court. Are you able to send me a list of mods you're using in bug reports?
Elan Morin Tedronai 3 Jul, 2024 @ 8:30pm
Hey there! (great mod by the way thank you for reviving the most essential mod for playing Eastern Rome) Is there any reason why I cannot access the Royal Court? Is it not intended to be played with this government type or is it a conflict between another mod? Thanks again for this great mod
Mars  [author] 3 Jul, 2024 @ 4:44pm
@Trask222: It should update within the year of starting. Let me know if there are any issues past a year of playtime and I'll take a look at it.
Trask222 3 Jul, 2024 @ 4:33pm
@Mars Hi, great mod ! I don't know if that's intented or if that is because of a compatability problem, but on 867 start date there is only one provincial senator in the senate available and that is the one from mine (emperor's) domain. The rest provincial senators are present on the map, but they don't appear in the senate view.
Mars  [author] 3 Jul, 2024 @ 2:38pm
Hotfix pushed, this fixes the MaA stats not being properly shown.
Mars  [author] 3 Jul, 2024 @ 2:09pm
@firespark84: As of now, not planned. Going to see what I'm able to push out when the DLC comes out.
firespark84 3 Jul, 2024 @ 2:04pm
also could the theme contract be applied to all vassals on start date? it does not seem to do so. would also be nice if it functioned more realistically, taking almost all taxes but letting them keep almost all levies, and giving some defencsive bonuses like + to hostile raid time
