@Magic Man: I did plan to have a whole revolution system where you'd be basically fighting over cities and states during the revolution timer, but I couldn't find a way to actually make the game forbid a revolution from taking control over a state. I might revisit the idea if I can think of an effective way to do this.

@CY-RPG: Yeah, I'm going to be doing some rebalancing for the next version. Should be some time after 1.5.10 drops.

It would be good to overhaul revolutions themselves with new events in the future. An idea would be to add movements and threats of revolution that trigger when at war for too long or losing

@Magic Man, only the pre-secession segment, since that's just a movement with >50 radicalism. I haven't touched anything related to the war phase of revolutions. This is mostly an event expansion though, so I haven't touched much with regard to the underlying balancing behind e.g., state selection or the proportion of states that go to revolutions, it just affects those things via events. It's probably going to change some time after 1.5 drops though, once I get around to rebalancing things and adding events related to newer laws.

Nice mod, i really like the election stuff although i'm less keen on the movement parts mostly because there's no AI logic built into the events so over time every movement that the AI has tend to get more and more powerful and radical due to the fact that there's more events that by default increase those things rather than decrease. And it seems to increase the amount of civil wars the AI has, France for example can't go 10 years without one. Lord knows the AI already struggles to offer much of a challenge in this game so having one of the great powers constantly fall apart isn't great.

Seems like this makes it too easy to get rid of movements you don't like. You can almost always select an event option that reduces movement support.

the election events are neat but kind of boring, i would look to diversify the effects of the events somewhat.

but the political movement ones are just annoying and don't really add anything at all.

I would assume the TNO project intends to change up the laws at some point, so it would probably make more sense if they just developed something similar from scratch rather than integrating this mod, if that is something they're interested in.

Honestly I would be surprised if they didn't already have plans for some kind of deeper election system similar to the ones that are already in HOI4 TNO. As is, you should be able to just run this one alongside TNO, since on a glance it looks like it doesn't remove any vanilla laws at the moment.

When I was setting up the events I used some of the event graphics that were added with VOTP. It will probably work without it but I can’t guarantee that, and if it does you’ll have missing graphics.

@Kiecking-in-rags: You're probably right. Using direct modifiers was just the simplest solution I could come up with, because there's not really much else you can do with movements directly, but I do think it might give too much control.

I'll look into some indirect ways to adjust movement values.

I really like this mod, though I do feel like hard numbers are too OP - it'd be better if the movements would get extra percentage to attract pops (if it is even possible to code it that way) so that something niche and small would have only a little chance of success, but still a chance of success
