1. Data for your personal tags are only stored on your PC - answer is no.
2. Data for your faction tags is only shared to a current faction members directly from server - answer is no.
The only way that faction tags can be "seen" by other players must involve some fiddling with Lua directly, which requires specific skillset to do so, as the codebase for this mod is not made of sticks either.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart once again for your work and time.
Firstly, thank you for your awesome mod, and contribuition to the community of PZ, its a awesome feature to have, in my oppinion.
Secondly, i think i found a mod that doesnt play well with yours, if you have this mod with yours active, you lose the ability to click on the UI toggle that your mod creates, if you drag your UI toggle bellow that UI toggle on the left panel.
I've tried to put your mod above in the load order, the result is the same, if you put it below same as well, so i dont know what i can do.
Hope to be able to use both in the future.
Cheers.
There are cheap but good enough controllers you should be able to afford.
Thanks.
Turns out I didn't know that I need to go to "Load" "More" and then explicitly add the mod to my save game to get it working with my existing save. Gah!
Fortunately it works both with Steam Deck emulating a mouse and keyboard and Steam deck using a controller. The controller has a new context menu instead of right click using the X. The mod just works with this menu. This opens up the manage containers but the controller won't actually do anything with the modal box for changing the config. You then need to use the mouse and keyboard to type a label and click apply (which is really really small for some reason).
This is great for steam deck. Pure controller won't work but thats expected
Literally, I was about to quick PZ without this mod. Its just SO much more fun coming back from looting & putting things in their box nicely labelled!!!
Reason behind this lies in the fact that personal tags were made to only save locally to remove unnecessary networking load when playing on servers.
If you put text on a bar, for example, it looks fine. If you put the text on the cabinet, the text is too low. The same goes for shelving.

Fixed a major malfunction in networking code that caused spam in server cmd log and disabled ability to delete faction tags.
But a very pressing issue was just discovered and reported in new discussion thread.
1. Factions only exist in multiplayer, so yes.
2. Hosted/dedicated server, as long as you don't change your IP addresses on each gameplay, no issues should follow.
1. Is the factions tags only available when theres other people joined my server ?
2. The tags saved only if you running on dedicated server ?
Fixed some issue related to latest bug report.
FAQ: You can switch modes between: personal tags, faction tags and disabled using panel LMB button
There is no reason to have faction tags that nobody sees.
