tell me has Keen fixed their buggy game yet, as far as I can tell no. still no help fixing the issues Im having. But i do appericate you letting me know. I'll let you know if I can try to work on this again if Keen will get off their lazy asses and fix the game instead of "nickel and dime" ing ppl

Still no coder either. I'd love to mod this as a non turret enity. I understand the idea HOW, just dont have the KNOWHOW. Who knows maybe someday

first off, HOORAY! second off, you found a coder? I really wanna use these, they're semi-original in that you have held out on using a turret, and thats just epic!

Sorry, just havent had the time, energy, and patience dealing with Dx11. I havent found a good source for the new type textures. I will get this up and running soon I hope. If anyone wants to contribute texture advice, sources to teach me might help me get this done quicker.

Before you ask YES I know DX11 is out and I need to update it. As soon as a learn how to do it and update the textures I will. the mod should still function as normal, just no textures on it.

@PhantomX, At least you are aware of other modders and their mods :). Because I would really hate for this to turn into one of those turret cameras which I have tons of already :\

@jarhead, I can change the mount points just fine, but at this point with the new netcode and DX11 Optimization on the horizon I'm not going to do too much at this time till those pass. When the DX11 Opt comes through all modders will have to reupload and repair their mods. As far as turrets, My attempt havent been too fruitful with it and I hate to get it working only for the DX11 Opt or netcode to break it. These function and work at the moment and Darth has a turret version.

@Space_wallaby: Yeah, right now I'm waiting for someone to make the source code understandable to the normal folk, then i might be able to do something.

what do think about my idea of adding a few mount points and changing to turrets instead of just cameras so you can mount the way they should mount and be able to move (the animation may not be very good but it would work)

If you want it to mount to a ceiling and not need a wall behind it just add in a few extra mount points (can copy from armor blocks) this will allow you to turn it in any direction and if your model is set in the middile of the block then you can also mount it to a pillar so it hangs down from a 2 block high ceiling to be at same level as players when they walk (another option is to make it an interior turret block instead so it can not really shoot anything but will still be able to move while letting you use as a camera

well thank you, but I not the best modeller or modder and it takes me a while to work on things since I have been so busy with RL as of late. I trying to get back into it again and apply some of the stuff I have learned during this time, hopefully.

Still not in the code for the camera. the only way to do it now is to make a turret, which I dont know how to do atm. my attempts havent been promising

Righty-ho, how's the mod coming along? I've tried my best to stay in touch but I forgot, or are they immovable? If so, I hope that you can make them move as soon as you can ;). GG on the mod though.

Is there any chance you can add a custom overlay to these cameras to make them look a bit better the default keen overlay is crap and the high tech overlay mod doesent work with these

if you want to move a camera try with a rotor if you cnt move it as a turret just place right,left stop on your action bar ;3 -yea didnt try it yet but i will for sure

Cameras still don't have that ability yet. atm you can only place them on a rotor to make them move. I am looking into a system with the newest update that might allow me to do that.

none taken, I don't know if we will ever get API as much as they keep retracting from it. I even looked at using turrets as a camera, tho nice for a gun camera, but not a basic camera which is what I want this to be.

Hmm, I really need to think this one over... do I want reskinend static cameras or hope they release the API this week and then get moving ones... I really can't decide. I wish we could do that inside... Hoping tomorrow we get some update to the camera. Quick question has anyone seen the custom overlay I made with they look through the camera, still not working for me, but it is setup properly in the code.

sounds cool so basicall you re did the camera skin but when you can you should make a moniter so you can see the areas that you camera sees

They work just like the cameras in the game already. These are resking, at the moment. When and if we get API, which means we can write our own block code. I will do something better then.
