Config fixed, now it only has the unity bugs that was introduced by LS updating the unity version.
Sir Rolin  [author] 14 Jul @ 12:04pm
The errors are only thrown if you open the options menu.

Unfortunately something has been changed with the settings code between 1.5 and 1.6, which makes my configs throw errors. Which is why I can't upload it as compatible yet.

However the mod itself does work, with whatever config you have setup.

Anyone tried this function in 1.6?

@Zilarrezko, Turns out there were a bug, see the changelog for more info on that.
Sir Rolin  [author] 5 Aug, 2024 @ 10:58am
that being said I will change it with the next update I am working on.
Sir Rolin  [author] 5 Aug, 2024 @ 5:11am
@Zilarrezko, i have noticed that, that happens a lot as well.
After I changed my own "minimum needed for additional loot generation tries" from 200 to 1000 i has happened a lot less.
I haven't changed the default, probably should've, but I thought it too little of a change to update it immediately.

I've been using this for a couple weeks now, the idea is great but it's never generated a material quest reward with goodwill, in fact every option (besides the no material rewards option ofc) have had the maximum default negetive goodwill. I guess there must be a conflict somewhere but Im not sure how id find it, I dont think I have any other mods that play with quest rewards.

Thanks for this :)

As far as I can tell it is fixed. Thanks for the patch!
Sir Rolin  [author] 20 Jun, 2024 @ 6:15am
Fixed it, thank you guys for telling me, so I could fix it.
Sir Rolin  [author] 20 Jun, 2024 @ 5:16am
I'll take a look, though I have just binge programmed for my exams, so forgive me for taking a bit of time exploring solutions.

Yeah, I second what @Wolves said. It just occurred to me after reading the error generated when beggars spawn in.

I don't have proof and I haven't stripped my mod list for testing, but this is my best guess for cause.
Wolves 18 Jun, 2024 @ 5:55am
Beggar quests can't be completed with the Extra Rewards patch enabled, which denies charity ideology rewards. The quest also gets stuck on the missions log and can't be dismissed. Outside of that though, this makes questing way more fun
Sir Rolin  [author] 18 Jan, 2024 @ 4:31pm
Sorry about that it's fixed now!

I believe something went a bit odd in the last update. Currently the download only contains the "Assemblies" folder. It seems to be missing the "About" folder and its contents at the very least, and as a result the game doesn't recognize it.

Was just playing with this mod and after you updated it seems to of disappeared from my mod library. Did something go silly with the update?
Sir Rolin  [author] 18 Jan, 2024 @ 2:37pm
Updated now it includes settings as well as Goodwill overflow protection (no more getting 35 when you only need 10, instead you get more loot).
Sir Rolin  [author] 8 Jan, 2024 @ 10:35am
@NeverAgain, the "Better Quest Rewards" is a mod that, while it says it doesn't change the value of the rewards it inevitably does, without changing what the quest states you should receive.

As for the goodwill rewards from hospitality prisoners with 10k... you're REALLY unlikely to get a quest that has 10k points and rewards a pawn, the reason for the high values is that you likely don't have a xenotype or another way to generate a pawn that's worth that much.

Since the reward limits itself to 1 pawn, my mod takes the actual value you were supposed to get and subtracts the value that's already there, then adding the goodwill.

seem slightly incompatible with "Better Quest Rewards", sometimes quest give goodwill with negative number. also, goodwill rewards could easily reach 200+ ~ 500+ ( Hospitality_Prisoners, 10k points) , which seems quite unreasonable.
SpaceDorf 10 Dec, 2023 @ 7:04am
Makes sense :)
It was just strange that every option of accepting gave negative goodwill.
Well, I missed accepting the quest so its on them ..
Sir Rolin  [author] 10 Dec, 2023 @ 6:07am
The negative goodwill is on purpose, once I figure settings out I will add an option to disable that.
See it as they are reluctant to give you something more valuable than they wanted, but gives the option all the same, but they are not happy about it
SpaceDorf 8 Dec, 2023 @ 12:14pm
I have some quests that create negative Goodwill for Faction giving out the quest.

I don't give a fork since the Faction is offering a clean genepack for the psyker gene.
but in general this seems counterproductive.

also nearly my whole base is down, so I don't know if they are ready in time..
Icey 13 Nov, 2023 @ 7:29pm
honestly, i'm surprised someone hasn't made a mod for this sooner.
Sir Rolin  [author] 12 Nov, 2023 @ 6:19pm
it's also safe to remove midgame
Sir Rolin  [author] 12 Nov, 2023 @ 6:18pm
yes it's safe
Bill Clinton 12 Nov, 2023 @ 4:44pm
Do you know if this is safe to add to an existing save?
kongkim 12 Nov, 2023 @ 2:25pm
Ok thx :)
Sir Rolin  [author] 12 Nov, 2023 @ 2:12pm
If the modded quest uses the vanilla way of getting rewards it will work.
So most would work with this.
kongkim 12 Nov, 2023 @ 1:19pm
This is nice.
But do it only work on vanilla quests that you patched?
Or do it work on quests added by other mods also?
SalmonToastie 8 Nov, 2023 @ 4:52am
Genius
Sir Rolin  [author] 8 Nov, 2023 @ 4:39am
Almost, some factions is flagged as "cannot give goodwill". (not the one players can set)
So if a quest has a faction giving the quest that doesn't have that flag, it'll work on that.
SalmonToastie 7 Nov, 2023 @ 11:16pm
Does this apply to any and all quests?
