Hey, if you're not going to ever fix this, do you mind if I make it for you? I'll give you credit for the idea

mod is broken, has a -100% opinion malus immediately when you turn it on
Unclaimed 19 Nov, 2023 @ 10:37am
I found several issues, some things didnt even have names, and those unamed things were maxed out, and the everyone opinion was at 0.
I tried with Germany, Turkey and a very poor country

Which countries were you guys playing on? Because I really didn't change anything that should affect anything but the popularity, so I would need to check what could be messing up with it.

The UBI is a good idea, although I don't think it can't alleviate the unemployement malus. However it could be buffed.
Idea is really good but you can't change anything. Education doesn't rise. Crime never goes lower and especially unemployment is stuck and full.

Please fix the mod and it will be much better because even in the worst scenarios I'm getting %90 percent of vote

Hey Dreigous,

I got the same issue as Unclaimed did, i disabled all the other mods I was using and it still messed up the unemployment rate.

I think raising the negative consequences of unemployment make sense,
but I think these negative consequences should be alleviated by the unemployment benefits

and secondly, as the game narratively advance and the industrial automation gets further and further, increasing unemployment, it makes sense that it worsens things if no action is taken.

But, I think giving people compensation (as the resources are now produced by machines) should remove these unemployment maluses. For me, I think it should be added to the universal basic income policy (when it's high) as it makes being unemployed not an issue anymore (I would also make it reduce the luddite riots)

Basically, I think max UBI should remove the negative consequences of umemployment (and luddite riots)

Ok i figured it out, it was another mod i was using that was conflicting with this one.
Unclaimed 10 Nov, 2023 @ 5:29am
it might have been an issue with the other mods i was using, but the unemployment value was 100%
Dreigous  [author] 8 Nov, 2023 @ 11:54pm
It shouldn't change the actual unemployment tho. I only messed with the values that affect opinion.
Dreigous  [author] 8 Nov, 2023 @ 11:47pm
@Unclaimed Do you mean a 100% in unemployment or a 100% in negative effect? Cause I honestly just checked the unemployment percent during the great depression which is around 20% if I remember correctly. And I went with anything above that being extremely bad.
Unclaimed 8 Nov, 2023 @ 2:31pm
When i played USA there was 100% unemployment with nothing effecting it.
