Hello @Theuthis!

Will you be updating the mod for the latest DLC and update, version 1.9?

Thanks ahead of time!
202 Corporation™ 24 May @ 11:48am
Could you look for someone that translates ur awesome mod to spanish please? it's soo good
Ellisten 9 Apr @ 6:29pm
not sure if you're still updating this, but currently the changes to on_wargoal_enforced in on_actions overrides the ability for unrecognized nations to earn points towards recognition from enforcing wargoals
El Bizantino 24 Jan @ 6:07am
update to spanish pls
fisto the robo 4 Jan @ 5:13am
@izib: it is possible to trade individual provinces (the tiny zones inside states, you can see them conquered in battles) in events. You could have an event like you describe.
Izib 3 Jan @ 9:07pm
Any possibility to add a border treaty event for Argentina-Paraguay (And probably Brasil and Bolivia should be involved too) The Formosa province is joined into the Alto Paraguay state in Vic 3, meaning it's impossible to get the historic Argentinian-Paraguay border with the in -game mechanics.

Currently my interim solution was to give the Formosa Provinces back to Guarani so Argentina can colonise them, which still lets other nations conquer all of Alto Paraguay if they want. Great work regardless, invaluable mod for Playing S. America!

Thanks for the update, an essential mod for my Argentina playthroughs.
Theuthis  [author] 23 Nov, 2024 @ 10:27am
Sure @LordLork!
Theuthis  [author] 23 Nov, 2024 @ 10:26am
Than you for letting me know @Polskers! This issue is now fixed
LordLork 3 Nov, 2024 @ 11:33am
Can I use some of your events for my mod?
Polskers 11 Oct, 2024 @ 1:11pm
Responding again, I think I figured out why 'Customs Union' is missing. 'Customs Unions' don't quite exist anymore due to the implementation of power blocs and shared markets. This will need to be updated when you decide to or feel ready to update the mod again!

Thanks! :)
Polskers 14 Sep, 2024 @ 1:07pm
To add onto my previous comment, I believe the "_trigger_desc_third" is meant to say "Customs Union" but I'm not sure why it's not displaying properly in game.
Polskers 13 Sep, 2024 @ 9:53pm
Hi Theuthis,

I wanted to bring up something that I've noticed, not sure if something has changed with one of the latest versions, but when playing with your mod enabled as of the latest version (tested using just this mod and alongside a couple of others), I've noticed a scripting error.

In the area where it shows "At least one of these: Brazil is in an alliance with Bolivia, Brazil is in a defensive pact with Bolivia", between them is a line that says "_trigger_desc_third". Not sure what this is supposed to be as it's been awhile since I've played, but I am sure this was not there before and something has changed perhaps regarding scripting or how certain things are scripted in Victoria 3.

Just thought you might like to be aware so you can push a fix if need be when appropriate.

Thanks for all of your work that you do and keep up the great job!
NICANOR DUARTE FRUTOS 12 Sep, 2024 @ 2:48pm
is the mod compatible with Hail, Columbia! - United States Flavor Pack?
FlyHunterKFC 12 Sep, 2024 @ 1:15pm
wondering if you could make these quick changes:
Federation of the andes: No longer needs pan nationalism and instead fires on successful unification of gran colombia/peru-bolivia/rio de la plata + nationalism
Gran colombia/peru-bolivia/rio de la plata no longer need nationalism (makes no sense as for the most part theyre either states that existed before game start or ones that get made through a JE which doesnt use nationalism anyways)
The cultural genesis JE cant be completed if they are a subject of a south andean, north andean, or platinean nation
HelenaSofiaHS 12 Aug, 2024 @ 7:19pm
I just want to say that your mod is pretty great! I would really hope that Paradox integrated your changes in the game as they all make a lot of sense and make this region even more interesting!
fisto the robo 16 Apr, 2024 @ 3:19pm
any plan for future updates? wish there was content for a de francia paraguay dystopia, with expansion JEs and adding more native primary cultures as you expand.
Vaalraizer 16 Apr, 2024 @ 2:13pm
Does the mod allow for the unification of Hispanoamerica like the screenshot shows?, I liked the way Paradox managed the Federation of the Andes but feels kinda lame not be able to continue the process of integration and extend it to Central America and Mexico.
skie 14 Apr, 2024 @ 9:13am
oh i see, i misunderstood the mod description, i though you were refering to the ahistorical flag you get when you pass voting rights in vanilla v3, my apologies. still i think it should use the current design but i apreciate the effort of being historically accurate. thanks again.
Theuthis  [author] 14 Apr, 2024 @ 3:35am
Thanks duruky! The Chilean flag is indeed different from the current one and the star is angled, but this is historically correct https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conservative_Republic
To get the current flag Chile needs to become a parliamentary republic.
skie 13 Apr, 2024 @ 5:52pm
hi, great mod, been using it for a while, just one issue i found, it seems the chilean flag is not accurate to its current design, the star is angled? rotated?, its clearly different from the real world flag and it triggers my ocd, other than that its great. thanks.

(i made sure to check using only this mod in my playset so im pretty sure this is the one thats at fault)
Sam (Funny) 24 Mar, 2024 @ 6:59pm
So like if Mexico successfully secures the northern border, they should get claims on the plains states.
Sam (Funny) 24 Mar, 2024 @ 6:57pm
I also feel like Mexico should get claims on the land needed for these 2 JEs, since the US gets claims from Manifest Destiny.
Theuthis  [author] 24 Mar, 2024 @ 12:16pm
Hello Sam, thanks for letting me know of the issue!
I've added a decision that triggers the same event as the journal entry and becomes available once you meet the conditions to complete the journal entry. Unfortunately for whatever reason the game bypasses the JE if you already fulfill all the completion requirements once it becomes active.
This fix should work even on an already existing playthrough.
Sam (Funny) 23 Mar, 2024 @ 8:28pm
For Mexico, the "Destino Manifiesto" journal entry doesn't seem to appear if you take all the required states before completing "Securing the Northern Border". I conquered all the states for both journal entries in one war (Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Wyoming and Montana), which completed the first journal entry, but the second one didn't appear.

Lo mejor no seria dejar que Alto Paraguay tenga una reclamacion paraguaya, y tan solo paraguaya?
Theuthis  [author] 17 Mar, 2024 @ 11:01am
The United Empire of Brazil and Portugal is just a dynamic name for Brazil, to get it you need to control mainland Portugal and Portugal must not exist.
Theuthis  [author] 17 Mar, 2024 @ 10:59am
I decided to give Alto Paraguay to Paraguay because even though they didn't really control it at the time they were capable of stopping the neighbouring countries from taking over the majority of the land, except for a part that was controlled by Bolivia until the Guerra del Chaco.
Leaving it uncolonised led to it being taken by Argentina or Brazil 100% of the time, and the provinces that make up the state aren't very well set up to represent the division between Bolivia and Paraguay, plus I had trouble finding a good map representing the pre-Chaco war division.
Theuthis  [author] 17 Mar, 2024 @ 10:53am
I think you should get it if you form Platina and Argentina doesn't exist, but I can't remember right now how I set it up, I'd have to check again.
There's nothing like that for Peru-Bolivia right now, it needs a foreign intervention for them to collapse, apparently the next update is going to rework subject loyalty so that they can seek independence, so that should help.
tricky 16 Mar, 2024 @ 6:56pm
how do you get the united empire of brazil and portugal?
LordLork 13 Mar, 2024 @ 3:53pm
Por que paraguay controla el Alto Paraguay?
fisto the robo 10 Mar, 2024 @ 5:14pm
is it possible for a paraguay formed platina to inherit the 'conquest of the desert' journal and events?

any content for bolivia-peru to be less stable? they literaly never collapse.
Theuthis  [author] 14 Feb, 2024 @ 11:33pm
@Kacper That's strange... there was a bug in the base game that would lead to this if you didn't have the DLC, so make sure that the DLC is enabled in the launcher. Other than that, I don't know what could be causing this, perhaps a conflict with another mod? I'll check later anyways to make sure that it is working as intended.
Theuthis  [author] 14 Feb, 2024 @ 11:21pm
The 'Hispanic Federation' is a dynamic name for the Federation of the Andes, you need to have Platinean culture and have a few states in North America.
Gasparro 13 Feb, 2024 @ 5:09am
There is an issue with immortal Jose Gaspar Rodriguez de Francia and Policarpo Patino (Paraguay), still alive in 1920s, the health bonus seems bugged.
RandomIdiot1816 1 Feb, 2024 @ 9:36am
How do you form the 'Hispanic Federation' borders seen in the screenshot? is it a dynamic name?
Theuthis  [author] 21 Jan, 2024 @ 7:28am
Okay, I think the issue yo have been encountering is that if you form La Plata right after researching nationalism you will not get the "The Spirit of Tucumán" event, which adds the journal entry that triggers the event. To solve this you just have to wait until the event and then form La Plata.
MangoAddict 16 Jan, 2024 @ 2:48pm
@Chaosplayalistichariotfunkymuzik I think as other nations you get an event where you can choose to be able to form the federation or some other choice.
I think this event is triggered when you research nationalism or pan-nationalism so I guess if you research it before you get correct culture you can't form the federation.
Chaosplayalistichariotfunkymuzik 16 Jan, 2024 @ 12:01pm
Yep, I figured that out but I never get the event to adopt South Andean culture as La Plata... Unfortunately, I can barely read Vic 3 code so I still don't fully understand what should trigger the event.
Theuthis  [author] 16 Jan, 2024 @ 10:10am
You need South Andean or North Andean culture to form the federation. After forming La Plata you should get an event giving you the option to adopt South Andean culture. Aside from that, you need to research Pan-nationalism to get the journal entry that allows you to form the federation.
Chaosplayalistichariotfunkymuzik 16 Jan, 2024 @ 4:52am
love the mod!

not sure if you made any changes to the process but how does one form Federation of the Andes as Paraguay?

I understand that you have to go Paraguay -> Rio de la Plata -> FotA but the actual mechanics of that seem very arcane - I've formed La Plata numerous times but never got the option to then proceed to the Federation.
Theuthis  [author] 12 Jan, 2024 @ 3:22am
Hello @MangoAddict, I've just updated the mod to fix this issue, now Mexico will get the event only if the USA doesn't own Montana or Wyoming, in addition to fulfilling the other requirements.
MangoAddict 11 Jan, 2024 @ 12:08pm
Seems The Nootka Sound Treaty is bugged.
Triggers without America or Mexico owning Quinine then transfers states to USA and mexico gets a popup that they get the states. I think that's because UK can map oregon trail.
Both oregon.2 and oregon.5 is triggered at the same time.
Stucka_ / Luca 27 Dec, 2023 @ 12:04am
i like the change how the paraguay culture is now a progressive change instead of just a switch but could it be changed that it also converts the guarani culuture to it?

The reason why paraguay has sort of its own ethnic group (mix of natives and spanish settlers) is because de Francia (paraguay starting leader) enacted a law that forced european settlers to marry into the native population so it doesnt make sense that the native population doesnt get assimilated into the paraguay culture
Theuthis  [author] 9 Dec, 2023 @ 6:03am
@Trokovski Thanks! Usually the AI will add wargoals to conquer the split states. Other than that, Bolivia and Argentina can receive parts of Alto Paraguay through the "Paraguayan war victory" event, under certain conditions. To get that event they have to defeat Paraguay in a war while they have the "Paraguayan war" journal entry, which they will get if Paraguay has already claimed their land through the "Napoleon of the Americas" event and has started an offensive war for land. To get the historical borders both Argentina and Brazil would have to get involved in the war and defeat Paraguay, adding the annexation of the split states as wargoals. This has to be done in a single war or two concurrent wars, otherwise Paraguay will count as defeated and they will lose the relevant journal entry.
Theuthis  [author] 9 Dec, 2023 @ 5:39am
@Archene yes, I've thought of doing that. I've been unable to work on the mod for a couple of days, but I'll be back soon.
Trokovski 8 Dec, 2023 @ 4:24pm
Good evening, i'm having a blast with the mod, but i'm a bit unsure how to get the borders seen in the third image, what triggers it?
Archene 6 Dec, 2023 @ 8:49am
Would it be possible for you to add guarani as an primary culture if Paraguay still has it by the time it forms La Plata and the andean federation respectively? I know this would just allow people to go and have most of natives in south america as accepted, but I feel it's a cool reward for someone who manages to expand that fast.
Theuthis  [author] 3 Dec, 2023 @ 2:59pm
Thanks!
That's a neat idea, I'll see what I can do!
