As for the veggie leather and trade goods, there is no skill requirement for the trade goods recipe but there is for Veggie Leather. It shows in the tooltip for the recipe.
Are you sure your issue doesn't have to do with recipes higher in the queue with higher skill requirements? Lower skill crafters will not just skip-past those higher recipes to work on stuff they can do that is lower.
Also: the recipes for batch veggie leather and batch trade goods seem to have some unlisted crafting requirement. I know this because my Crafting 10 character can produce them but my Crafting 2 character refuses to do so even when assigned to do nothing else and plenty of materials are on hand.
Or are you saying Hay Sausage is not covered by that mod? I thought I hit all the foods, but seeing as I almost never make Hay Sausage I may have totally missed that one and not even ever noticed.
You may want to field those requests to the authors of whatever mod(s) you are using which add water , hygiene, and gas.
Can you make Water Well Windmill? - produces Water for Hygiene
Place-able anywhere after research.
Can you make Oil Well Windmill? - Produces Gas for energy
Place-able on Dead Bug Nest after research.
Love your work. I can help test.
That link is there for any mods. I use it all the time to see and subscribe to mods by specific creators.
Can you make a workshop collection of all your mods for this game?
It'll be very helpful for those of us that want to pick which of your mods to use, etc.
