my game almost vanilla(no map or economy mods, some engine sound mods actually). tried your mod with another profile(full vanilla game). i can see 800k-900k even 990k mile trucks. i think its randomizer issue. im gonna keep trying.
Banking mods when they are updated for longer terms but that's about it.
To resolve conflicts("your mod isn't working/showing up") a person will have to spend time in the folders of each of the mods that they use making sure that they don't have overlapping names or files that will interfere with each other.
Have you tried not activating any map or other mods that have an economy or config file within them?
Sometimes mod developers add files without listing them in the description. That will cause conflicts with others.
So you can try placing this mod at the top of your load order above every other mod may help.
it takes a cycle for the trucks to populate into your Used Truck Dealer. 3-5 in game days or a week should be enough for the trucks to populate. If it still isn't working after an in game week or two, you may have a mod conflict. So put this one at the top of your load order.. this mod will not work with some economy mods or Map Mods that have economy mods built in.. so put it at the top. Or do what your friend did.
There are many factors or challenges in getting a mod to load correctly and the best advice i can give is to learn from what other great modders have done like harven, smarty, abastreppas, sisl and so many others.. They don't have youtube channels they just have the highest subscribed mods on steam. Unpack and poke around theirs and compare notes with what you have done. That's how i have learned over the years and fixed several dozens of mods for my private use on SCS. I think at any time up until 1.49 i had 80 mods running at a time. I really sucks when you have to break them down into blender to rename a bumper so the Intl 9600 cabover bumper stops loading on Uotlaw's pete
But then again, I started in the single moving wire grid asset days with sometimes hundreds of uniquely shaded BMP's with black windows, back when Adobe bought Photoshop.
Good luck.. just keep adding code until you have the same amount of redundancies as what smarty or harven run in their mods.
The prerequisites for a mod truck to show up in the used dealer are listed in the SCS wiki. Found by web search
There is a main workflow listed of the vanilla SCS trucks, which do populate the used truck dealer.
Each one of these asset/workflow checks are made and if you are missing part of the workflow then the checklist stops... the truck may load in the mod dealer but not in the dashboard or the used truck dealer. The vanilla mods have lines of code in each definition that point a direction and then give an alternative backup, if your mod was coded quick and dirty or easy then it may be missing these definition lines and files in case of error or missing files. Which create stability in the game.
If you started from scratch and playing around with the mods you should read through the updates from the first version on for the mods. it's not as bad as it sounds.
to the used truck list or the mod truck list?
The new trucks and variants should populate as the others do. No updates are needed.
depends what you mean.. if its an entire truck, yes... if the mod developer followed the SCS vanilla workflow then yes it will show up as a used truck.
if you are talking about accessories.. you can write a used truck file definition into an accessory mod so it will use the accessory that you want..
the mod is working as intended and described and these factors have not been modified, they have stayed constant.
By dividing the base factor by 10(moving the decimal point from 1 to .1 or .1 to .01) to which the vanilla coding uses for it's randomization of used trucks. That 0 to 5% variation you are seeing in the used truck dealer using this mod is the same iterations of the vanilla coding.
I used the common starting point of 'base factor divided by 10' in testing and everyone liked it even though the restoration costs went sky high.. But by that time in testing I already had 6K subscribers and I did not want to anger the villagers by changing it.
Dealers do actually put in new wear items in trucks so that they will at least pass inspection, which was the reasoning I used for myself to not touch it and let people just enjoy it.
SCS looked at this mod before they released 1.50, so I left the mod alone, (updated the casc hood def)

part degradation not kicking in or are you expecting to buy with parts already degraded?
the vanilla settings assume that you can't fix a frame, wheels, engine or trans to almost new, i simply modified it to a lower quotient.. i moved the decimal point, so actually the lowest mileage and wear used trucks are now more valuable than the New... and restorations are rather expensive like real life. it accounts for premium man hours i guess ($275K to total restore some times for 3* trucks depending on rigging and fitment)
This mod uses updated native SCS files in the Used truck and mod dealer coding, There is a FAQ posted in the discussion portion of this mod.
If you are having issues with graphics post 1.50, the SCS forum Bugs threads are where you need to post the coordinates you were at and, hardare you were using(game log) and if it was a CTD crash to desktop situation.
You can check your game log for corruption factors, warnings and errors instead of just noticing the rendering being off. Then go to the SCS Software Development Forum and post your experience as a bug report.
Good luck,

The included used truck defs have been updated to 1.50+
-SNG
...it is currently at 25 minimum & 40 maximum.
I don't want to take the optimization away from those who are using lower end systems to run the game.
Used Trucks Dealer has it's own Icon on the main desktop once the game is loaded, near the Truck Dealer, Trailer Dealer etc. It is also available from the menus much like the truck dealer and trailer dealer.
BTW seeing I have used it yet, seeing I'm working on starting a new profile, do used trucks show up at the"new" truck dealerships?
