Thats unfortunate, many server hosters are looking for a way to disable zombie respawns in a certain zone. I suppose that's not possible. Well, thanks for the quick reply nonetheless!

This is designed to make zombies behave differently across different zones.

Making a world wide zone will cause issues, but realistically you may experience fps drops due to how zombies have to be manipulated. Hopefully in B42 and going forward this won't be an issue.

Helloo. Is there a recommendation on how should I set up my zones? I usually do 3 smaller zones above 1 default zone that cover the whole map as the base setting of my server. I notice a lot of fps drop while using this setting, the issue will disappear when I remove the zones. Is my way of making the world wide zone affects the server performance? Thank you for any insight!

To clarify, my system works the same way as that sandbox option. (I could double-check / change it) But this means when the Zone is in off hours, the zombies should simply slow down from their current setting.

I have that sandbox setting ticked to whatever makes the zombie bahvior the same at all times, I saw that come up in the comments earlier so I thought I would try that first lol.

I think I remembered why you're seeing what you're seeing. The day-night activity follows the vanilla inactive at day/night setting. Which just makes the zombies slightly slower during the off times.

Hey there, having some trouble getting this to work. I've set a great number of zones, with each zone having a set sprinter/fast shambler ratio, but the zones don't seem to work at all at night. There are slow shamblers even though I have no slow shambler percentage set, and sprinters are entirely absent. I have zones set for day vs night to make things harder at night, so every zone is overlapping with another zone, but one becomes inactive the moment the next becomes active, so I don't know what the problem would be. I've been messing with this for days and our next season starts on Friday, I'm losing it TwT

I would have to test/check the code to see if there's any room for optimizations. But due to how zombies need to be modified (on their update / every tick in some cases) there may not be much room to improve it.

I just tested it without any mods aka vanilla with same amount of zombies and climate, zoomed all the way in.
Peak 780 fps drop to Peak 670 fps after adding the mod. No zoning.

Ok so zombies are bugged outside zones from 8PM to 9AM (still no zones created)

Could this be related to my sandbox settings ActiveOnly = 3 (day only)?

Hey, I just installed mod on test server, didn't set any zones, and all zombies were bugged (twitching, having difficulty to move). Then I shut down server, deleted save, started again and zombies were ok. I couldn't reproduce the bug after few more tests with removing/re-adding the mod, so it might be connected to ingame time in some way

That sounds like there's an issue with the animation XMLs then. I can get to test when I have time.

Steam don't like long comments. Also there was no errors in console. Zombes appeared like they want to walk, but something was stopping them periodically. I cant really disable Authentic Z to test because players would lose stuff, but I we can somehow confirm mods are not compatlible, I will remove it.

Sorry for delay I was busy with other stuff, but finally had time to re-test. Only zombie related mod I can think of is Authentic Z, I added it for outfits and it adds lots of stuff actually, including fat zombies and stuff like that. I tried to re-enable this mod few days ago and it was really weird.

So I did set 3 zones
- one 100% sprinter
- two 100% shamblers
(I have slow shamblers on server)

I teleported to sprinter zone, and zombies were sprinting.
I teleported to shabler zone, and zombies were shambling.
I teleported outside zones, and zombes were slow as usual.

I was like, OK, it fixed itself.

Next day I was doing some ingame support for players and doing usual stuff, and someone said "hey zombies start to twitch again", so I teleported to closest city and zombies were ok, so I assumed player have lags. Few hour after, more reports of twitching zeds and I could also confirm it. I checked only zeds outside of the zones before I panic-shutdown server to remove the mod.

Hi, when I enabled this mod and created single zone, all zombies outside the zone started twitching on the spot, having difficulty to move unless player get close enough to trigger chase animation. I dont use any other mod using zombie update hook.

Could you please add an option for Day/Night to influence the percentages?
For example I'd like to make Sprinters more common during the day, to balance out the nighttime.

That is not an error related to this mod. I would contact support regarding servers not saving data.

Global modData going blank on reboot is a known issue with some hosting providers. Are you using a hosting provider?

I have run into an issue where when I reboot the server the zones disappear. I have them saved externally and I am able to import them, but why do they blank on reboot?

I would need to retest it, but zombies already set don't change. This is to prevent zombies travelling between zones from swapping around.

Maybe I am doing it wrong then? I use the Admin UI IG to open the Zone API > Zombie Zones > Export the file which goes to my own personal PC, I edit that file then go back to the game > import.
It shows the information I plugged into the file IG until I spawn zombies in the location (zombies already within the location do not change to values set via notepad). Once those zombies are spawned the API UI shows coords as -1 and all zombie movement reverted back to 0.

Hello Chuck,
Just wondering if you're going to revisit the potential of making this mod compatible with MP? I would like to use it on one of our servers but unfortunately I don't think it's meant for MP at this moment. The document is opening on my client side (PC) and server side is not saving the information after the import.
