Still, I thought I used a new on_action from update 1.9 to add this flag to all countries after lobby start, but it turns out I made it trigger the wrong one lol. I've just released an update so now cultures should be able be inherited from the starting year itself
Unfortunately the unique name and flag only apply to Afghanistan.
You can also create the special Platinean version of the Andes Federation as a Platinean culture and not start suddenly discriminating against your own core population!
The mod description mentions the Schleswig run to integrate Scandinavia into Central Europe.
If you want to absolutely maximise your number of primary cultures, I think Transylvania -> Romania -> Danubian State -> Central Europe is a contender, with a final result of 14 primary cultures.
I mean this mod brute forces its way to bypass Paradox's static Primary Cultures for formables, so unintended consequences like that is more feature than bug
currently attempting to form schleswig-holstein into scandinavia then germany, but upon forming scandinavia germany disappears from the list of available formables. i tried editing germany to be a hegemony in case the issue was both formations being the same nation tier, but this did not fix it. i am also able to form sardinia into the (modded) alpine republic (empire) and still form italy (empire), so i think it's either an issue with vanilla not allowing you to perform multiple major unifications, or your variable is adding the former cultures after the game checks which unifications are available to you.
thank you for the mod either way, i know this is a weird edge case and may not be mod related, but i really like the possibility of forming weird supernations with small nations that have no other reason to be played and found out at the end of my run that i can't actually achieve super scandermania :(
When I tried using this mod with Divergences, it just sent tens of thousands of errors per tick trying to find the vanilla cultures that aren't in the game's code anymore. So a general rule of thumb to not use this mod with any mod that removes vanilla's cultures,
The mod has now been updated to fix this major error.
The error had to do with the on_actions code, and it turns out unless you do something specific it actually overwrites the vanilla code instead of adding to it.
Essentially if you form a country from a nation that lost a culture intentionally before the new formation, it can do odd things.
This could probably give you access to conflicting events in some cases, but I don't know where those would actually be.
Otherwise the cultures switch places on forming the North Andean Federation, which doesn't have an impact but does reduce immersion.
(It also can't be easily sorted out by structuring the formation event neatly)
