Yes, it should be a Cooperative Secret for the level, if I remember correctly
Oh, so that's where it went in Guardian of Time
SeriousAmaro  [author] 2 Jun @ 12:51am
Just once in the Coop version of the last level if I'm not misremembering. The Super Armor has a model that's somewhat different from the rest of the armor pieces and tone this game was going for so I didn't put in the "canon" single player version, but for Coop I removed a lot of my restraints
Sixteen60 1 Jun @ 1:46pm
Does the Super Armor appear more often than just in the final boss fight?
SeriousAmaro  [author] 24 Apr @ 3:16am
It makes total sense actually, Next replay I'll keep an eye on them. I still have a list of small issues to adjust and smaller ideas, so eventually a small update will come to Redux
I mean, I might have exadurated a little bit about the reptiloids, but in stark constant to vanilla BFE where they're just absent and Jewel of the Nile where you find most of them on Born Again level, that's exactly how it felt, lol
SeriousAmaro  [author] 23 Apr @ 11:51pm
Mmh I wouldn't say there's an over abundance of them, but it has been a while since my last LP so what do I know lol they might get more attention as they're the only out of place element from the original BFE, they tend to shine more, especially to justify the full inclusion of Sniper and Laser.. anyway, thanks a lot! SS4 Redux is currently underwork
Aside from some visual bugs and overly-abundance of reptiloids, this is a pretty good way to re-experience BFE (especially Jewel of the Nile). Absolutely looking forward to Legend of the Beast and SS4 redux.
SeriousAmaro  [author] 6 Apr @ 12:43am
Thanks for the kind words! I will consider it after SS4 Redux, but modding HD is quite different from what I'm used to and I would to learn a lot first
ThagoSpikes 5 Apr @ 5:10pm
we need you to redux legend of the beast. after completing both redux and dlc redux. you proven that you can do amazing work with already existed campaign. :gatordoll:
SeriousAmaro  [author] 30 Mar @ 2:58am
An interesting question, I'm currently avoiding TFE, TSE and SS2 (because ASSHDR is the best form of any Redux and I have no knowledge on the sequel moddability). Siberian Mayhem is also a great game as it is and doesn't really require any vaniilla changes

I'm left with LotB and SS4. One of them is already underway but it will require quite time.. maybe I'll leave the DLC as a final Redux game in the future, we'll see
BigDaddy2537 29 Mar @ 5:14pm
Do you plan to do Legend of the Beast?
SeriousAmaro  [author] 1 Mar @ 1:18am
I don't speak Google translate but.. thanks for the feedback! It is indeed a rework of the campaign that could feel more like an update than a different experience
Denred 1 Mar @ 1:08am
7 Remakes without much change out of 10. Well... this is for those, who want a slightly expanded version of Serious Sam 3: BFE
SeriousAmaro  [author] 1 Mar @ 1:04am
I don't speak Russian.
Denred 28 Feb @ 7:51pm
7 Переделок без особых изменений из 10. Ну... это для тех, кто хочет немного расширенную версию Serious Sam 3: BFE
SeriousAmaro  [author] 15 Feb @ 4:34am
That was the idea yeah, I understand it's not for everyone of course and improvements can be made regardless. Together Forever takes the cake for the hardest ammo balance, as for the first half you can kinda interchange rockets, laser and sniper bullets on most targets, likely creating an imbalance I can't regulate with limited ammo
F_DAML 14 Feb @ 8:37am
Cutting ammo is fun idea actually, really makes a player to think more about ammo management. Like I didn't liked at all the thing we got in vanilla when there's shotgun, AR ammo scattered everywhere + infinite rockets and C4 boxes just turned brains off. I was actually afraid to spend laser or sniper, or devastator ammo because I thought "what if I just spend it without any benefits?" so I kept stronger guns to nearly the very end of vanilla campaign. But giving all ammo types equally and shifting weaker guns from player arsenal to the campaign end is great idea
SeriousAmaro  [author] 13 Feb @ 11:45pm
Ahahahah absolutely, your feedback was actually refreshing and actually gave me some ideas
Hurykles 13 Feb @ 1:18pm
i am sorry for bothering you with my whining. I've read through some of the comments and i understand that you were mad at me at first :bombsweat:

keep up the good work
SeriousAmaro  [author] 13 Feb @ 9:01am
@Hurykles - Much clearer now, thanks! I just assumed earlier (the Suggestions tab was to keep the comment section from getting cluttered—no quoting or direct replies here)

I'm not a dev, and this isn’t an FPS on the market. It’s just a free fan project where I wanted to encourage more strategic ammo use, hence the "design" choice of the ammo threshold. I get your point about the campaign getting stale—In SP, I avoided placing enemies everywhere to keep the pacing balanced and give players some breathing room. Coop is more of a chaotic bonus mode, and honestly, I didn’t expect people to play it as much as they are.

Your feedback gave me an idea: instead of a simple "Is it Coop? Then spawn extra foes," I could make enemy spawns scale dynamically with player count. Also, I might drop the ammo threshold if enough people keep bringing up these ( non-existent ) ammo issues.
Hurykles 13 Feb @ 4:32am
I honestly don't have any suggestions. And even if I had, these would be against your design philosophy probably.

As for the ammo I didn't say anything that there is not enough of it. I am just surprised that your mod has that script that makes players start with less ammo. Haven't heard of a game that discourages ammo hoarding. That's all.

As for difficulty. I didn't say it's hard. We speeded through the 2/3 of the game in 3 and a half hours so I don't think me and my buddy had any issues with difficulty. My problem is that the second half of the campaign is as tedious as vanilla guardian of time was when I played it for the first time.
SeriousAmaro  [author] 13 Feb @ 2:07am
@Hurykles - Thanks for the feedback, care to expand on the issue you found in the Suggestions tab? In the meantime, these are my considerations:

Difficulty - The Coop campaign has been tested and completed in Serious by average players playing solo with no major issues;

Ammo - Ammo balance has been tested on each level on clean starts (no ammo nor secret weapons from previous levels);

"one size fits all" difficulties don't exist. If Serious is too much, consider Normal or Hard. (they have all been taken into consideration while creating this mod)
Hurykles 12 Feb @ 11:25am
First of all i appreciate having laser and sniper outside of the secrets
Second, i have never seen an fps game that cuts out player's ammo between levels
Third, I am currently playing the mod in coop on serious and man... this is exhausting for me and
my (much MUCH more experienced) friend. And BFE by itself is already an exhausting experience. I don't mean the mod is hard, we are just tired of all the BS
When we finish it (we've already beaten 2/3rds of the mod) I will probably stick to vanilla
bijzaak 1 Feb @ 6:16pm
This is a huge improvement over the base game! Totally changes the pacing and feel.
F_DAML 29 Jan @ 2:33pm
Gigachad, thanks again for mod
SeriousAmaro  [author] 29 Jan @ 2:38am
Thanks @RaPloky, that was the goal with Redux! :TheSeriousBomb:
F_DAML 28 Jan @ 5:47pm
I completed this mod once again and I want to say that I wish the vanilla game were good exactly like mod + Reanimation mod would seal the deal. Then vanilla BFE would be GOTY, no doubts

SeriousAmaro  [author] 28 Aug, 2024 @ 8:23am
Thanks a lot, Marco! :TheSeriousBomb: JotN wasn't included because it would have diluted the campaign and disrupted its pace. However, you can still manually save at level 10 and come back after the DLC, but it's generally better to play it afterward for pacing reasons.

P.S: ma allora esistono italiani di ottima cultura!
marcobagnardi2005 28 Aug, 2024 @ 8:16am
amazing mod, probably the best way to play BFE, the enemy and weapon balance was perfect. and getting 100 %kills tickles my ocd. It would have been very cool if the JOTN levels were included in the main campaign like in BFE enhanced, still, i loved it from beginning to end, 10 out 10
SeriousAmaro  [author] 27 Aug, 2024 @ 12:43pm
I couldn't have said it better myself.
F_DAML 27 Aug, 2024 @ 12:34pm
For people who complain about lack of ammo: skill issue. I've beat this great mod without any issues on Serious difficulty. You can't just spam devastator or laser, for sure you will waste all your ammo for this gun. But no, you have to make decisions in the moment, like "why waste devastator on this gnaars? While other enemies are far I'll kill it with the sledgehammer". Consider this mod as lite version of ammo management in DOOM Eternal

Author himself did a great job, had a lot of fun with this mod (I've only haven't figured out how to open closed door at "The power of the Underworld")
SeriousAmaro  [author] 22 Aug, 2024 @ 4:11am
Yeah that's right. Redux ammo economy is perfecly balanced, as all things should be [quote]

People asking for extra ammo are simply used to an infinite supply most modders usually provide in their maps: I'm not most modders.
C4t Guy "Sur3ya" 21 Aug, 2024 @ 11:10am
For anyone getting pissed about the lack of ammo;

Go and install the Serious Editor for Fusion and change the ammo quantity yourself, the author won't do the job for you.
SeriousAmaro  [author] 9 Aug, 2024 @ 12:58am
The idea that I’m ignoring feedback is absurd, especially since I’ve already wasted three days discussing your reports, only to realize you’re not looking for balanced gameplay—you just want infinite ammo (and for the record, I’ve already added some extra ammo to the DLC levels—against my testers’ wishes—as noted in the change log you likely missed) .

Since Redux will never be an infinite ammo mod, here’s what you can do instead: play on lower difficulties, use ammo cheats, or try another mod. Please refrain from commenting further on this matter, as your opinion has been noted, deemed unfit for implementation, and frankly, ridiculous.
Doktor Hayden 8 Aug, 2024 @ 3:09pm
In general, after playing Redux some more, I realized that causing a player to run out of ammo is not the best game design decision, but I must note that you didn't give a damn about the players' requests and for that I respect you, again, a shortage of ammo is an interesting mechanic, but in SS it has no place in my opinion.
Doktor Hayden 8 Aug, 2024 @ 3:01pm
Hah seriousAmaro it turns out I'm not the only one who was confused by the lack of ammo)
Andrey's World 8 Aug, 2024 @ 4:38am
@SeriousAmaro nah man, you may just chill, this problem with scraps may be only my problem and for everyone else its not. Gonna see today what you have in DLC, intriguing
SeriousAmaro  [author] 8 Aug, 2024 @ 12:16am
Makes sense, I had complaints about "lack of ammo" in the past that turns out to be "I want max ammo at all times, not just over 60%" lol.. still gonna check out level 9 and 10 just in case I can do something about it
Andrey's World 7 Aug, 2024 @ 1:17pm
@SeriousAmaro I definitely spotted many scraps in 9 and 10 levels, about ammo, no problem man, I respect this, I just not used to this mecanic after all of years of SS :)
SeriousAmaro  [author] 7 Aug, 2024 @ 12:52pm
Thanks @Andrey's World, I'm not sure about Scrapjack spam since I only added one or two in the DLC immediately after the Devastator and the Cannon.

Ammo would be balanced even if you remove everything between levels completely, as each level was tested from clean starts and with no secrets to take advantage of. I do understand 90% of mods out there simply shower you with pseudo-infinite ammo, but Redux does care indeed about balance, it's his main selling point
Andrey's World 7 Aug, 2024 @ 12:42pm
Great mod, much better, than orig, my only issues is exessive amount of scrapjacks in some parts and ammo that author takes after every level (at least later levels) for balance, i think but Im not a fan of this decision
Shockwave 2 Aug, 2024 @ 12:50am
Sounds good
SeriousAmaro  [author] 2 Aug, 2024 @ 12:32am
Thanks for the feedback @Shockwave. I can assure you that ammo is plentiful as I test each level from scratch and ignoring secrets and still getting around the desired 30-60% balance all throughout.

I understand many players expect mods to just shower you with ammunition so you don't have to think about it and I also understand player do not know every single enemy placement and appearance on the mod, especially not on first LP so I'll take into consideration having more ammo added for next update in general locations.

I'm aware that Together Forever is especially nasty to balance in the beginning parts, as you can interchange Sniper/Laser/Rockets in most fights
Shockwave 2 Aug, 2024 @ 12:20am
While I do enjoy the new enemy placement a lot, my biggest gripe with this mod is that you're constantly being starved for ammo. Especially on Serious difficulty (it's especially bad on the JOTN levels).

Maybe I just suck idk, but I had to resort to CWM multiple times just so I would have ammo in the AR.
SeriousAmaro  [author] 24 Jul, 2024 @ 2:52am
Thanks @PatBateman, it will be fixed next update.

Once again I everyone to report bugs in the Bug reports section and suggestions in the Suggestions tab
