It does work, but as you can see in the description, those features have been disabled since Funcom fixed supposedly them. The mod only adjusts mid-attack rotation now based on the custom setting you choose.

ok, thanks for the responses, i find the auto face on attack rather subpar, its very slow and i have to finish my animation and then just wait a bit more :D

Nah, the player rotation still works too, but that slider only ever affected mid-swing rotation.

So once you ALREADY started a weapon swing, it allows for very quick correction up to a certain angle (all of this assuming you don't have target lock on). Increasing the player slider will allow for a larger angle of rotation if you quick-correct.

But the window is a couple of hundred milliseconds at best

I'm not sure what you're trying to do btw.. if you just want your character to rotate in the direction of your mouse, there is now a gameplay option in the vanilla game that you can turn on, which is why it's disabled in this.

Helps if you read the description :) Funcom fixed most of those issues, so the mod has most of its features disabled.
The only thing left is the rotation control of characters mid-attack. For that one if you wish to be able to side-step attacks easily like in the past, then lower the NPC slider. That's all

Sadly, does not seem to do much :( i dont even know if i should have 200 or 0% because i dont feel any difference between them :( Tried Controller style movement off and auto, with rotatable stationary camera on.

i will tell you Xevyr, there is no way in the game settings to restore the old feel back to the combat..you are a GODSENT! i will try this mod if the combat feels better again, its so clunky and bad with the Funcom changes that literally make 0 sense and no1 asked for...thank you!

Well, the previous fixes for that which were in this mod have been removed as they were no longer needed after Funcom fixed them in the basegame. Currently this mod does a single thing, allows you to admin-tweak the NPC and player mid-swing rotation.

However.. with recent updates, I did notice some of the issues might partially be back, though not nearly as bad as it used to be when I made this mod, so I don't think it warrants any fix mods just yet, it's probably happening due to their recent changes in AI while impementing the settlement system. If the situation gets worse.. and not better in the upcoming patches, then that might be something to consider.

It looks like the moonwalking issue is still happening, and sometimes the NPCs don't attack at all—this is without your mod installed. The game is still playable, but I thought I'd mention it in case it's something you might be able to fix with your skillset.

This mod just completely saves the game for me. Combat is fun again. I don't even understand how anyone would want to play the game as is right now. Brainless attempt at creating fake difficulty. At lest, thanks to this hotfix, i can enjoy the game again, without feeling like i am playing the cheapest version of a Souls game made by 12 years old devs.

Nevermind, I just tested some other weapons. I think it's because I was using a mace, which, perhaps I had simply misremembered that it didn't do that? I don't remember it locking in like that for some reason. I did some other one handed weapons and some daggers, and it seems okay.

Hey. I came to say that turning on the settings in the Gameplay Settings does not work. Controller Style Movement Off, Auto Face Forward On Attack checked, Rotatable Stationary Camera checked.

I don't know if this is due do a mod I have that I'm aware of. Sieghilde, what mods are you using that you think causes it?

Ugh, since you deactivated the mod's features, mine's weapons can no longer work like before :/, we can only "hit" in a straight line again.

In Chapter 4 Funcom will add a checkbox in the settings (picture: https://imgur.com/a/I0hsG6G )
This will do what this mod does and restore the "snap-rotation" in the direction of the camera.

Depending on how much they fixed the "aimbot" AI, this mod might retire if there's nothing left for it to do...
Alternatively I might do an update and disable the other functionalities but leave the tiny UI that can adjust those tracking speeds, we'll see... However they broke some of my other mods despite them being made fully compatible with updates... (UI replacement doesn't like UI mods...) so we'll see how much time I'll have.

Anyway just thought I'd give you a heads-up of what's coming and show you the picture where you will be able to change that (gameplay settings) - Again, the picture is from the public beta client, that setting is not yet ingame on the live version.

That's because the mod only affects controller style: off / auto (when using keyboard & mouse).

Again, it is not an issue, it's fully intentional :) Prior to chapter 3 both players and NPCs had instant snap-rotation in the direction they wanted to attack... so you could attack in a direction, look behind you with the mouse and instantly attack in that direction, it is literally one of the features of the mod to restore this functionality, because now your character will attack the way its facing and not the way your camera is pointing.

Hopefully that explains it.

Hello, the mod is great, but I have noticed a small visual issue: when your character do the usual "aim where you want to strike" thing, there is no transition between the animation - it just cuts directly to the new direction.

I did reply to that though :) I explained that it is simply not in the scope of this mod.

This mod was intended to fix bugs / issues that made combat... difficult.. The 3 issues listed in the description. Not being able to attack in the direction you're looking with a mouse, NPCs moonwalking (which later Funcom also fixed) and NPCs rotating way too fast mid-hit making you unable to dodge them or get behind them.

It would simply not fit this mod to start changing weapon animations within... especially since the majority of the people using this mod most likely wouldn't want that forced upon them.
So to be clear, this mod will NEVER contain spear animations :) I could make another mod for that, but atm I have no plans to do so, sorry.

It is difficult to make a mod that would bring followers out of the ground, who often fail during battle. Wildly annoying. Very often occurs during the battle with the crocodile and the dragon?

Well, the mod works just fine, so the only possibilities are:

- it's either not added to your mod list (not enough to just subscribe, you actually have to add it to your modlist)...

- you're not logged in as admin (MakeMeAdmin console command or Make me admin button in server settings panel)

- you're not typing the proper command in the actual console (NOT the chat)

It's one of these :) so try to figure out which one is it.

You need to be admin for that, if it still doesn't work, double-check that you actually added the mod to your modlist.
