Does it work with the tents or does it need to be a wooden/brick building?
CORDIALES
I think I've found the issue. I had a simple pipeline going from water collector on the second floor towards a small farm patch down at the ground level. No bueno. The plants didn't receive any water.
Turns out, the issue is with the pump doesn't pull water when it's not placed on ground level. Connected the pump to a sink or a collector barrel at ground level and it works. Even if the farm patch is at the floor above it.
Have you been poking and prodding at the new liquid systems, by any chance? Might be fun to be able to get a visual of the water levels in the facilities rising up from the pumps!
I managed to make a working system, but pumping from the nearby natural lake (luckily within 50-70 tiles of our base). Pumping from Rain Barrels themselves just wouldn't work. Added a second pump too and that did increase flow as well. So everything works there, but just not from Rain Barrels at least for me.
It wouldn't pump TO the rain barrels right next to our house walls either, but that's probably related to said barrels not collecting rain water naturally either when placed next to the house wall (need to be one tile out).
I put a picture of my plumbing setup here maybe it can explain why it's not updating more than that very first time before stopping. Around the top right farm area, the loop used to be closed, but I removed some pipes and had them open end just now to see if it would change anything, but nope.
I've got everything all connected as per description instructions, and the destination barrel 'snaps to' from the pipe, which means it's detected. I tried a straight line to the barrel, looked like it wasn't connected but it did transfer water (ONCE), waited about 40 in game minutes nothing was happening, so I did a curve and it did the correct snap/model change to show it linked to the barrel.
Restarted the pump system, still doesn't seem to be working. The source barrel(s?) that I initially connected the pump itself to are still 400/400 too despite apparently 'one tick' of progress happening (end-barrel 25/400 to 41/400).
Thinking maybe my loop is confusing the network? or I have to leave the chunk and come back?
I haven't tried using multiple pumps yet though to see if it could solve this.
Is there a way to check how pipes are doing and water flow without there being a valve intersection? I'd like to know if my building is receiving water as sometimes the containers don't fill in a building.
