i dont know if its a bug or intentional, but if you got 2 gunslinger arms and a pack, you can use it to spawn 3 turrets, since the cooldown aplies.

@K Feel free to study the code and do whatever, but if it ends up almost identical aside from the thingdef being spawned I would appreciate a link back to this workshop page.

I will also say that while my code isn't outright terrible to my knowledge, it's very likely amateurish and could probably be done better. So it may not be the best example to work off.

I've encountered a weird bug where the arm is replaced and it works but then the arm it replaces is considered cut off and the pawn with the gunslinger arm bleeds out in 7 hours to death.

That's weird I don't think this mod has a bionics table or the organ vat in game is called the bionics table. I'm loading up my save I'll turn on dev mode and see.

Okay no I found the problem apparently one of my mods has added its own prosthetic table and that prosthetic table is overriding the one from Epoe and the one that is overriding it is not accepting the other crafting recipes. Okay I'll have to fix that.

Yep, in that case, it won't be on the Prosthetic Worktable or the Fabrication Bench, but it should be on the Bionics Worktable. That's where it is for me, at least.

If you're using EPOE-Forked, I do see the Gunslinger Arm recipe on the Bionics Workbench. Remember that EPOE adds three new tables, not just the Prosthetics one. It also adds the Bionics Workbench and the Synthetic Nano Printer.

I am about to go to work but the prosthetics table is a modded workstation that searches for anything with the tag bionic/prosthetic and add it to the table while removing it from any other. It's supposed to be compatible with any mod that adds any level of prosetic. thats why I was asking if there is a hidden research. If no I need to tell the other mod about an incompatibility. I did type in "gunslinger" but the fab bench did not show it nor the table. And I did research bionics.

@Sera Well a "prosthetics table" is not a vanilla workstation, the gunslinger arm should be in the fabrication bench since it is a bionic tier arm unlike other utility arms.

If you have a mod that changes where bionic arms are made it may also be there.

Am I missing something? I researched bionics but when I looked at my prostectics table the gunslinger arm is not there.

It's free for the arm, the bionic allows you to deploy a turret without the need for components, but with a 5 day long cool down instead.

Ok so out of curiosity just to make sure I understand. If I make it a utility pack it cost 2 industrial components to reload but if i make it a bionic arm it cost nothing to reload or still 2?

Looks like MayRequire doesn't bypass the check for the ParentName node needing to exist. I'm seeing an error on your RecipeDef for the parent node not existing, without Persona Mechanoid Pawns installed:

XML error: Could not find parent node named "SurgeryInstallBodyPartArtificialBaseMecha" for node "RecipeDef"

Recommend inserting this RecipeDef as part of your patch for Persona Mechanoid Pawns, rather than using MayRequire, since apparently that attribute doesn't bypass the Parent-must-exist check.

Not compatible with Fire Control Computers. They require turrets connected to a power source to work while the main benefit of this is not requiring a power source to work... Needless to say I don't expect this to be patched.
