@Outragedparker - What difficulty? Most likely the AI count had to be reduced to get mission to continue. Some squads are not able to be multiplied.

Seems to be working in some areas and not others. Start of ONI: Sword Base seems to have default amount of enemies and friendlies spawned.

I backed out and loaded in a few different times to the same result. I then loaded up the next mission, which it worked (Super scary seeing four phantoms blast me at the start lol!)

I'll keep playing and see if there are more instances of this.

@Clumsy0015 - Thanks for reporting! We don't like that either.

I spent awhile trying to remove those turrets. I suspect I will need to edit the mission script and recompile the mission from scratch which is time consuming.

More bugs in case it is helpful: In the Package, the phantom turrets during the Glacier section are indestructible, which made the section frustrating. Emile, Jun, and the three ODSTs never appear throughout the level. (Carter does). This was four-player legendary co-op.

My friends and I have had a great time playing through this on Legendary with Iron skull on. Thanks for all the work. I just want to report a couple apparent bugs: on Sword Base, there are no friendly troopers at the start of the level. This only happened on legendary. Also, only on Legendary, the ODSTs did not join our fireteam or follow us during the jet pack section of Exodus. Again, thanks for the mod, we have been loving it!

@Punished Toaster - Sorry for late response, Steam never showed a notification! Yes, there is more friendly AI whenever possible but I did lower the friendly AI number if the mission had too much AI or there were issues with mission not proceeding.


@Real SHC.Demolisher - Thanks for reminder. It does appear that older CPU's will have that issue at a lower AI count than newer CPU's. It is definitely a balancing act.

There actually is indeed more friendly AI. And the reasons why you weren't damaging the enemeis was likely from there being too many particles and the engine was pushing it's limits.

Also I wanted to ask, is there supposed to more friendly AI? I've only done the first two missions with this mod but I've played it plenty before and they seem to be the same amount.

Also, also, very cool mod. I really like how the suppression changes how you play and almost makes you rely on AI in a way besides give them power weapons and hope for the best

I had a problem with Sword Base that made this just unplayable. After turning on the AA gun and heading back to sword base, during the fight to the garage to the hunters all elites have unbreakable shields. I can't pinpoint exactly what triggers it. I've rushed and killed the general, rushed the garage, tried plasma pistol cheese, melee, nada.

This is the first and only mod I've downloaded to MCC. Are there other steps not included in the description? Is the nexus version more stable?

I saw a video on a group of players trying this out, and it was utterly miserable for them. So I'm gonna experience it for myself! :D Besides... the footage in that was CRAZY. One moment was in the sniper mission where you meet the civilians holding the line. In the counter attack by the covenant, a large group of elites held up on the ridge overlooking the whole area where normally snipers go... and they just formed a huge firing line and would NOT stop shooting! Like it was their version of 300's arrow scene, just raining plasma bolts. It was insane!

@Thrill - Yeah that is a serious challenge on Legendary solo! I wouldn't recommend trying Iron on single player since that would restart the entire mission on death; but on coop it just reloads the checkpoint to simulate single player.

@Thrill - I can take a look at that section! I have not played that section on Legendary solo and I only tested that section on Legendary in 4 player coop. We would have had a hard time if Iron was enabled.

So far almost everything is amazing, I'm running this mod on solo legendary and I'm on the package and at the end of the level no enemies run up to the place u need to defend (outside Halsey's lab) unless u kill a certain amount of said enemies for that spawn location, So while 10 elites are clumped together and while you're tryna get them to move they all laser you cause they all are in 1 spot not moving lol, that's the only thing holding me back from completing this mod but ima keep trying.

@Go On Touch Me I Rock - I would unsubscribe, wait 10 seconds, and resubscribe and see if the download finishes.

After you launch the game with anti-cheat off and select Halo Reach, you should have a Halo Reach XL campaign option to choose from below 'BUILT-IN'.

If the Steam workshop is not working for you, you can download the maps from NexusMods and replace the official maps.

You can also go to the Steam download location for Halo Reach XL and copy the maps over to the main map directory as an alternative to downloading Nexus mods version:

Only issue is on legendary not enough ammo for some of the missions . I been solo working through it on legendary and thats the only issue I am encountering.

@Mokang Sonate this is actually the smallest file size sadly. Each mission is quite large. If Reach ever gets updated, the recompiled versions will be even larger.

@Inuit - You can open the maps up in Assembly in: \Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\976730\3136791458\Maps

and in Hunter character tag, their health can be changed and saved. Hunter Vanilla health is:
Easy/Normal: 250 health and 100 shield
Heroic/Legendary: 500 health and 100 shield

Halo Reach XL Hunter health:
Easy/Normal: 188 health and 50 shield
Heroic/Legendary 375 health and 50 shield.

They still retain 75% of their core health, but their shield is halved since most Halo games don't give them invisible shields.

wow playing Nightfall with this mod was the most fun i had with this game, i loved sniping so many enemies and being completely overrun wile desperately trying to hold that spot with mercenary's was crazy, these mods are too much fun

@camergamer - You will be facing 8 hunters instead of 2. We felt it was a necessary change, especially on Legendary.
