Hey, would it be possible to add some sort of marker or something to signify that a province has been infiltrated? Currently the only method I have to determine if it was a success or not is the shadow operations number going up, however this only applies to special province improvements.

Nevermind, they do get upset about spying, however I'm not sure what the trigger is, since I had one of them literally attack one of my spying armies and didn't have a spy grievance

After further testing I have determined that
A: The AI do not gain any additional grievances fromthem finding out you're spying on the. Just the ones for trespassing.
B: Anything within 1-2 provinces of the city center is pretty much always seen, so don't bother trying to infiltrate them. Aim for ones near the edge of big cities

Actually, the mod is functional. I think my other tests failed because it was either a modded improvement, or because I was too close to a throne city and they had a building that gave it truesight. Whatever it is, while it is a tiny bit confusing, the mod is functional

Hey, I am in the process of fixing and expanding this mod and the other Society Trait mods. Unfortunately this means I cannot actively support the existing versions as updates tend to break them often. I recommend disabling the mods from the playset for now if you are seeing issues - I will post an update with the updated version once it is out.

It works. I'm not sure why sometimes it is, sometimes it isn't, im assuming it has to do with truesight, however I have succesfully infiltrated a province

Update, Agent Network does work, HOWEVER it is extremly slow. I believe the reason is that it considers both to above and underground, so even if you map the entire surface you'd only get 25 network. It also only goes up by 5s, so its hard to see in the early game. I'm not sure if infilitration works, I haven't been able to in my testing, however one thing I noticed and am trying now is that it specifies "special" province improvment, so I'm hoping thats the issue. Considering no one has mentioned infiltration not working, I'm assuming it works fine and I'm just screwing up

TL;DR: Agent Network works, but is very slow. Am unsure as to whether if Infiltration works or not and am testing as of now

Hi Muad'Dib, I really enjoyed how you reworked Fabled Hunters and Devious Watchers. I have tested and Fabled Hunters work really well, but Devious Watchers seem to always have Agent Network points at 0. Unless I'm missing something, is this perhaps a bug? Will there be any updates on this? Really looking forward to testing the mod in full in the future!

I will be releasing a bugfix and rebalancing update for this and the other mods, however recent patches (and real life) have pushed it back a bit. The game should stabilize after the upcoming patch, and I should be releasing the new version in the near future.

So I found what was conflicting with it- the signature skills mod... but the scout abilities still aren't showing up like the obscuring charges stuff

Are there any mods anyone knows conflict with this? I'm not getting any of the shadow strike abilities for some reason and I'm not quite sure which mods even conflict with this in that regards to cause it

Does it conflict with other culture trait mods that grant abilities...? Anything that edits units?

An update has been released for compatibility with Eldritch Realms. The mod will no longer prevent games from loading.

A bigger rebalancing, visuals and mechanics update is in the works.

I'm not really sure if it can be fixed due to how things are implemented, but I did want to give a heads up that it seems this mod can have compatibility issues with mods that add Primal Culture units with different damage types on their attacks or abilities. It always defaults to blight damage rather than anything else. 

I believe the only current example of this is the Brave unit from the Core Tier II Fighter DLC mod, as it has a base ability that has damage based on which primal culture subtype you picked.

I imagine this is a similar compatibility conflict as the Shadow Strike for modded units listed above. Overall, a pretty minor mod conflict issue.

Thanks for the update. I was pretty confused as well when I saw the issue. Modding in Age of Wonders 4 honestly seems pretty finicky at times.

Usually patches override mod changes, not the other way around... weird one.

I'm not sure if it is just an issue in the open beta, but I noticed that this mod removes the Sacrificial Blight ability from the Druid of the Cycle. If you have the time, would you be willing to look into this issue?

@shane_357 Hey, sorry to hear you've been having issues. I tested all Tome units and had no problems creating them with the latest version of the game and mod. Are you perhaps on the Wolf Open Beta?
Unfortunately it may indeed be a conflict with some other mod.

This is broken; it is making it impossible to recruit certain Tome units and removing their images from their portholes for unclear reasons; it may be a mod clash, but after the sheer trouble tracking this down has given me, I'm not inclined to check instead of just removing it.

@Android Zero place a scout in enemy territory, out of sight of units and buildings that provide True Sight. On the next turn, you will see a progress indicator in the Scout's unit panel. If you are not seeing it, something is spotting your scout.

Mate, for some reason there's no infiltration happening. My scouts are sitting there in the provinces for turn after turn and nothing happens.

Just a note, I had to unsub from the mod and resub to get the latest version. I think incrementing the build version helps to make sure that your subscribers always get the latest version.

Enjoying this mod so far. There seems to be a crash when I'm about to infiltrate another ruler's Ancient Wonder. The crash happens as soon as I hit end turn. Disabling this mod lets me continue. As is disbanding the scout in the turn before infiltrating the Ancient Wonder. Disbanding the scout on the same turn as the crash/infiltration does not work.

Thanks dude for these awesome reworks! Lokkong forward to see the others social traits. I have an idea btw. I suppose chosen purifiers should get grievances against all rulers and free cities. I looks strange that culture that is breed to kill others need some resons to war. I could give them that trait from chaos branch which gives that 30 grievances agaist all insted of (or additionaly to) one they have now

@Muad'Dib, to easily look up strings, copy the EN.MO file, then rename it to ~DEV.MO. That should also get rid of the modding tools bug where the log gets spammed about a missing ~DEV.MO file.

There's no localization support for mods right now. So people usually just make translation mods which change the translation files only.

@Visie Maigo, I must have added the dependency to more easily lookup strings, and left it in. I assumed the issue was with the new strings added by the mod, as those cannot be localized AFAIK. Thanks a bunch, wouldn't have caught it in a million years.

@Paaaaint, I pushed an update just now that should hopefully resolve the language thing. The new content will still be in English only unfortunately - I don't believe localization for modded strings is supported at the moment.

@Muad'Dib, the issue that @Paaaaint has with seeing English & Chinese is because your main rpk imports EN.MO as a dependency. Once you remove the EN.MO file people's language settings should remain intact.

I have identified the issue causing the crash - it happens for any free city and any Ancient Wonder province infiltrated. I will have a fix out in the next couple of days.

I agree that the free city provinces are the point. I have done several tests and, whenever the scout infiltrated a free city special province successfully then left that province, the game would crash. I thought it is related with special provinces before, so I just tested with free city special province, not knowing if the issue is particularly associated with free city special provinces (or just a normal free city province will occur it)

I'm also getting a recurring crash I've isolated to this mod; I posted some details in the official AoW4 Discord. If it's any help, I feel like it might have something to do with infiltrating free city provinces.

That's very kind of you! Now I find one save file with this issue, also the logs. How could I send it to you? Additionally, with this mod my game's language display become a strange mix of both English & Chinese (while my language setting is Chinese). Though this strange situation is not really a problem for me to play game, it still a bit weird XD.

@Paaaaint if you upload and send me a save file before a crash, I will be happy to have a look. It might be a bug with this mod specifically rather than a conflict with other mods, the scripting here is fairly extensive.

Really a good mod, but my game continues crashing after using this mod(often occurred when a scout Infiltrated a special province successfully), which cause me a little sad. I have not yet figure out which mods conflict with this.

@silenticehunter something with True Sight must be able to spot your scout. Cities have true sight within a 2 or 3 hex radius, dragon lords tend to have a pretty big radius too.
If you upload your save game I will be happy to have a look to confirm whether it's a bug.

I keep getting exposed immediately after waiting the 3 turns. What am I doing wrong exactly? I'm even hiding my scouts in forests off to the side just to be safe.
