Hello! I'm currently working on a grand reskin mod for Rome. I'm trying to put together the best models and stuff i.m.h.o. from all the greatest mods in this field (like from kaziel, manu, crassus etc.). May I include a few models from you as well? (with credits properly given of course)
Vindicator 31 Jan, 2017 @ 12:48pm
@Hloeric update please.
Hloeric  [author] 4 Nov, 2015 @ 2:21am
should do, it only changes the textures of vanilla armours so as long as they arent changed then the mod will work fine
sc5879 4 Nov, 2015 @ 12:49am
does this mod work with current update?
=[El Assesino]= 21 Oct, 2015 @ 12:26pm

Sebidee 24 Sep, 2015 @ 11:03am

Magnar 24 Sep, 2015 @ 11:02am

Could you please update this mod?
=[El Assesino]= 7 Nov, 2014 @ 12:01pm
any updates
can you make a retreat possiblity where your unit falls back some instead of running back as idiots
MangyMinotaur 17 Oct, 2014 @ 11:20pm
Awesome to hear about that!
Hloeric  [author] 16 Oct, 2014 @ 12:29pm
Hello all, a quick update, i have been working away with new textures and specificly brand new models for the game. But some exciting news....Romanorum Acies textures and models will be used in the new Overhaul Mod "Antiqua Imperium". This mod already has cool features in place such as overhauled Edicts mod, new building chains (giving the player abilit to build roads) and the new Emperor Edition campaign map has succesfully been used as the Grand Campaign map with no issues so new factions inbound aswell in future. but first for the factions a Roman overhaul....Romanorum Acies textures in a historically accurate Roman Roster

any updates expected ?

=[El Assesino]= 22 Sep, 2014 @ 11:49am

Will keep track of your work!
Hloeric  [author] 20 Sep, 2014 @ 11:59am
thank you for your kind works
georider 19 Sep, 2014 @ 9:34am
Excellent work, as an ex- skinner dev back in napoleon days, I salute your work. Keep on !
Hloeric  [author] 19 Sep, 2014 @ 3:49am
hi there, this mod will always be compatible with the vanilla game/campaigns/ and any mods/unit packs that use vanilla names of the models to create their units. if a mod uses custom models on their units that are renamed to something other than the vanilla name there may be a compatibility issue. but there have been no compaints about compatibility :)
s.lfournier 18 Sep, 2014 @ 5:57pm
Hi, will it be compatible with Anthony's white legions in the future ? great work
Lucifer 17 Sep, 2014 @ 4:58pm
Thank you for the respone and your work.
Hloeric  [author] 17 Sep, 2014 @ 9:54am
@Deathface: Hello, im currently working on v0.4 as we speak and aiming at the early period romans now that used hellenic helmets ect. once i have completed the whole reskin of the romans i will then start looking at the VariantMeshes of units to edit them and make units look more historical :)

@Fides: Tried and Tested and yes it works fine with the new Emperor Edition including the campaign :)
Lucifer 17 Sep, 2014 @ 9:35am
does it work with the new campaign?
BlackKodiak 17 Sep, 2014 @ 9:05am
Please check out the cavalry and the bodyguard of general. Roman some horseman have greek helmets. It would be very nice, if you could rework the auxilliartroops too. :-D

Thanxs for the reskin!
Hloeric  [author] 16 Sep, 2014 @ 12:17pm
i will most certainly look at the shields if they are not up to scratch :) also applyed a little fix today. someone showed me a screenshot that the back of the legionaries segmentata was very brown. i remade the specular map for this so evern in the shaded areas now you shouldnt get brown segmentata should appear metal all the time :)
gaunt1981 16 Sep, 2014 @ 12:21am
you have delivered great work with it.
if you have planned to improve the texture of the shields of the legionary cohorte. it looks in compare to the other shields still very blurred
Mellork 15 Sep, 2014 @ 10:22pm
Nice win chance xD, Press k to elimitate the HUD, makes for great screenshots
Hugh de Salle 15 Sep, 2014 @ 5:14pm
@Pags78 Hi Pags , Segmentata was made of steel so cost more to make , and if my history serves me well it did not survive into the 3rd cent AD , which means the romas must of had real problems with it or never wore it for combat purposes , i know from historical sources that by the time of constantine it was not in use or must have been very rarely used , A good design will last forever until it is replaced ie Chain / Plate or Bow / Musket , Segmentata cant have been that good not to last , which adds to the eveidance that it might have only been used as a propoganda tool while marching through conquerd territories , looking good and impressing the locals.
A lot of history is speculation but it also makes sense aswell , it wasnt a very good armour see my comments below ...thx
Hloeric  [author] 15 Sep, 2014 @ 2:40pm
@Hugh de Salle: As it stands this mod is a texture mod, replacing vanilla model maps with my own to change the models look in game. That being said the make up of the units to give their overall makeup in game are the vanilla units made by CA. This mod only edits 2 VariantMeshes (file of unit makeup) and that is the praetorians and praetorian guard to use my 2 new shield textures for them. no other unit make ups are edited in this mod they should be completly vanilla but use my textures to make them look better :) That being said once everything has been retextured i may look at making the units look more historical.

Thank you all for your feedback, this is what makes mods achieve their potential
Hloeric  [author] 15 Sep, 2014 @ 2:40pm
@[21o]varagianaf®o™: Hello, the picture in question was a test from ingame of the shield (which wasnt released, i have a better way of making the patterns now) and the manica had just been done also. i edited 1 unit and switched the models on it to test ingame but this picture really showed off the new Lorica Hamata which is why i posted it. it isnt a unit in game it was purely testing :) i shall remove it if it casues confusion :)
Hloeric  [author] 15 Sep, 2014 @ 2:39pm
@[21o]varagianaf®o™: Thank you for the feed back, the last picture was a test of the shield
@Navarachi: i have double checked the romanorum acies files and cant see why you have an issue with it. try deselecting all other AAW mods to test this as one of the mods make have become incompatible with patch 15 and will be something we will have to rectify thank you :)

@[LONG] OVER LORD: Hello, if the textures arent coming up to scratch then i will most definatly look at the texture maps i created, if the Segmentata seems far to dirty have a feeling what map that may be and should be an easy fix without comprimising the overall look.

英白拉多 15 Sep, 2014 @ 10:38am
hi dede, you made a good mod, but i think you make roman's armour and helmet too dirty, just like the took from the dustheap, i think they should takecare thier armour right?
Navarachi 15 Sep, 2014 @ 10:27am
I have all the AAW mods installed and they are awesome. But the AAW Romanorum Acies mod for some reason is not working with my TWR2 game. The mod attempts to load but locks up the the TW2 game load. I do have most of my other mods work with AAW, I do not understand why this current AAW mod does not work. Love the AAW mods though. Please advise.
noober9 15 Sep, 2014 @ 10:14am
There's no evidence that the LS was worn soley for parade purposes or that it cost more than mail. It's pure speculation.
Hugh de Salle 15 Sep, 2014 @ 6:51am
I should have said the average roman soldier.
VarangianAfro 15 Sep, 2014 @ 6:48am
oh i just saw they were legio cohoort..they dnt use manica ether
VarangianAfro 15 Sep, 2014 @ 6:47am
great work in all of the changes in grafics, but dude...why did u add manicas to principes?or whatever u tryed to reskin at the last photo..lorica hamata was not used by the "armoured" legeoraries...and olny the armoured leg and pratorian cohoort were the only units dat were useing manicas at their amrs..
Hugh de Salle 15 Sep, 2014 @ 6:44am
thx for the hard work , nice looking mod , now for some feedback , im not sure the romans wore greaves , and i think in my own view and some historians Segmentata was not used as a combat armour but more for parade purposes , It didnt make sense to use an armour that cost twice as much as chain or scale to make , took 2 men to put on and was a bitch to maintan and repair.
gaunt1981 15 Sep, 2014 @ 1:14am
nice work. your mod is amazing but can you edit the texture on the shields of the legionary cohort?
Caio Soares 15 Sep, 2014 @ 12:36am
Nice work, do u going do other mods for other factions?
Hloeric  [author] 14 Sep, 2014 @ 11:06pm
i made all the edits so the models uses my textures but then i renamed the new rigid_model_v2 as vanilla names. this should work with the new Imperator Augustus with no issues :)
s.lfournier 14 Sep, 2014 @ 5:53pm
will that be compatible with the new Imperator Augustus campaign ? Your units look awesome and I wondered if they will show up playing as Anthony .. :)
Inethris 14 Sep, 2014 @ 4:48pm
I love the eastern scaled armour textures, I hated the gold look that vanilla had. Your darker colour is perfect.
Hloeric  [author] 14 Sep, 2014 @ 3:14pm
thank you all for your kind words and support :) im currently drawing up a list about what v0.4 will be :)
Hexon 14 Sep, 2014 @ 3:13pm

Awesome job!:Hercules:
Hloeric  [author] 14 Sep, 2014 @ 12:58pm
so long as DeI and radious roman units use vanilla textures then it should be compatible
Sebidee 14 Sep, 2014 @ 12:46pm
Great stuff!
degroots 14 Sep, 2014 @ 12:40pm
