I made a temporary fix for the Fieldwork DLC using ModAdjusterV2. Let me know if you want it taken down.

Update for DLC Fieldwork please

I actually just had an idea about how the loss of oxygen could be reasoned in universe, maybe you could say that the o2/h2 generator isn't just a normal electrolysis machine like the tech we have now but rather it uses some more advanced tech where the oxygen gets used up somehow but in return it takes less energy to extract the hydrogen which would also explain how hydrogen engines can get more energy out of the hydrogen than was used to extract it from the ice.

Obviously this is still a bit far fetched but sci-fi generally is and I just thought it was a cool concept I felt like sharing here

ohhhhhhhh this is so cool, subbed!

JoelCrafter43, I'm glad to hear it! Thank you!

This is a really cool mod! While I was building my first large ship designed primarily for use in space I was actually thinking to myself how insane the amount of oxygen you get from ice was and wondering why oxygen farms even existed, this mod is the perfect addition!

All good suggestions! (Although far beyond the scope of this mod.)

Semtex, I understand, but this mod isn't about reflecting reality, it's about making a disregarded element of the game something to consider during the game. That's why I added this statement in the description: "Granted, it is unrealistic that ice would produce hydrogen and oxygen at a ratio of 20:1. However, the counter-realism introduced by the mod is a concession made in exchange for the benefit of improved gameplay and more engineering considerations. For that, sacrificing "realism" can be a worthwhile trade-off."

Hydrogen thrusters and engines should require oxygen to work. This would make the oxygen valuable gas, as you would need both h2 and o2 to fly in space.

I'm wondering if there's a way to make a cross mod for this and DNSK, I would suggest a possible combination of CO2 and Grey Water to make Mono propellant.. though I don't know if Skallabjorn's O2 RCS Mod would use Mono Propellant unless it was somehow "Waste" Oxygen

Glad to see somebody doing something about air production. It's probably not going to happen but what I would like to see is a complete air production overhaul where CO2, Nitrogen, Neon, and Hydrogen are used in making breathable air, recycling air, and capturing trace gases (CO2 & Neon) for other production means. Do you know what happens to the human body breathing just oxygen?

Oxygen is the third most abundant element in the solar system and the Milky Way - and probably in the entire Universe. On Earth and Earth-like planets, it is the second most abundant.

No problem! Thank you!

Thanks for the response. Love the idea!

This does not make any changes to air vents, so they can still be used to fill oxygen tanks (and is probably a good idea to use now).

This mod does not modify hydrogen production at all and is fully compatible with No More Free Energy.

I was going to ask the same thing as @Skye. Would be lovely to be able to use this + No More Free Energy!

Does this mod interfere with mods that effect the hydrogen output of 02gen's? Since I tend to use hydrogen re-balance mods, to make hydrogen useful. But also want oxygen to be more scarce.

Does this make any changes to Air Vents set to depressurise, when in atmo?
This is a very quick way to fill tanks

Oxygen farms being more viable? Count me in.
