Awesome mod! ^^

Cool.

@Fredrick.Knight I'll admit i had no clue those existed. I'll see if they are defined in XML, but they might be generated as a part of flesh guns. I'll most likely bump them up as that's a fairly high tier rare storage item.

@Incorporeal I am planning a high tier alternate to the klein bottle called the "stasis keg" which handles around 128 drams of all dangerous liquids, and is capable of pouring them out safely. Neutron flux appears to require a 1 dram container as it always exploded larger containers in my testing, but it's pretty easy to code an exception to that.

I don't want the klein bottle to be the best at absolutely everything. Also lava is worth 25x as much as water and is available in ludicrous quantities, which breaks the economy even worse than the klein bottle does already haha.

I am also looking to add a salt shaker that guarantees a tasty bonus to cooking if it has salt, without costing an ingredient slot.
Fredrick.Knight 18 Jun @ 2:14pm
I like this idea and I'm going to download this and give it a shot, but I'm not seeing anything about the storage tank. You get them from disarming psychal flesh gun turrets and they start at 128 drams. I like them because I can tinker on the 'fitted with suspensors" mod, and more recently gigantic.

Does this mod do anything to those?
Incorporeal 8 Jun @ 12:14am
It would be amazing if kleine bottles could hold more dangerous liquids like lava, etc.
Gravenwitch  [author] 24 May @ 10:37pm
I'll take another look once finals are over, thanks for the heads up and kind words

Great work on this mod. Love it!

As of patch 1.04, the Catch Basin is in it's own category "Water Container" where all others are in "Water Container". I don't know if this was always true.

Can the bubble level help identify items when held in hand...? Different liquids give different accuracy values perhaps?
Gravenwitch  [author] 30 Dec, 2024 @ 9:48pm
@moonracer Interesting, any ideas on unique mechanics for ingredient containers? I think 5-10 dram containers could reasonably weigh 0-1lbs. I think a salt shaker could possibly have the ability to slowly generate salt from the naturally salty environment of qud. I'd need to work on flavoring to make it make sense but I am not opposed to the idea.
moonracer 30 Dec, 2024 @ 7:39pm
Better explanation for my request. The salt mill weighs 1 lb and holds 1 dram of fluid (salt) It appears to be unique in that it is organized into the food category. If it held 5 drams of salt, it would be worth carrying to allow making a few meals while adventuring. Having one for honey and other cooking liquids would be great.
Yuka 20 Dec, 2024 @ 6:43am
I find that this does work in existing games, but they must be new items generated. If the need rises, one can do that by wishing.
moonracer 19 Dec, 2024 @ 4:46am
If/when you update this, perhaps add one or more smaller volume containers? 5-15 drams? Salt shaker is a potentially neat item for cooks, but only holds 1 dram. Maybe edit it to hold 5-10 drams and change the name so it can be used to carry small amounts of liquids for cooking?
Pizzarugi 6 Dec, 2024 @ 9:49am
Okay, got a weird update to the situation: The kleine bottles are suddenly working as normal, and apparently all I had to do is buy a 2nd from a merchant.
Pizzarugi 5 Dec, 2024 @ 4:15pm
1.0 is finally here so this mod might need to be updated. I noticed Klein Bottles still work to store liquid if you make sure to pour it in yourself, but it's broken in that trade doesn't recognize it as a container so selling goods means your water earned is wasted.
HanCloudstone 9 Oct, 2024 @ 3:09pm
>I don't know if this item is realistically useful, nor is it realistic period

Well, you can start purifying water quite comfortably with these as long as you have access to pellets. To cite a certain song, "двадцать лет как под наркозом я работал водовозом".
It might be woefully suboptimal compared to just cloning and replicating everything you need but it works and makes sure that water farming doesn't require any investment into carrying capacity anymore. And who knows, maybe devs will somehow nerf cloning and replication one day.
Then there's the opportunity to produce 8k+ of most liquids with this bottle and metamorphic polygel but I struggle to see the applications.

@RedHorizon Starting a new game is not mandatory, as this mod is a very basic XML tweak. That said, I strongly recommend you start a new game whenever you add or remove ANY mod.
RedHorizon 1 Oct, 2024 @ 9:28am
Do you need to start a new game for changes to have an effect ?
Gravenwitch  [author] 26 Jul, 2024 @ 10:52pm
I (somewhat) live!

@Kinasin No obvious errors with spring molting. I can do a more in depth check as I return to modding.

@Tariq K I have never experimented with adding mod options. Next update for this mod will add a game option allowing you to toggle death by luggage as I am in love with the idea. No promises on when said update will drop

@fuzzyweapon What kind of errors are occurring with catch basins?

@Hegamonia I'll think of some late game super hot liquid containers. I don't plan on adding a container capable of containing more than 1 dram of neutron flux but lava is doable.
Kinasin 20 Jul, 2024 @ 1:22pm
is this working fine with molting?
Tariq K 15 Jul, 2024 @ 12:14am
I gotta say, the kleine bottle doesn't just break the game's action economy, it obliterates it to little pieces. Tiny, tiny pieces. Especially if you mod it as gigantic.

And yes, I did get astrally tethered with it, and all that weight came crashing back, all 70,000+ pounds of it. It's great. That should have been a death lmao. Like, an actual death message. “[Player] was crushed to death by the weight of their own luggage” or something.
|_| Clyax 2 Jul, 2024 @ 5:36pm
@Hegamonia I thought that was the Plastifier Bottle?
fuzzyweapon 2 Jul, 2024 @ 7:19am
Anyone else have everything seemingly working but the catch basins? D:
Hegamonia 3 May, 2024 @ 4:22am
Oh, and a heat-resistant container that can safely transport more than a few drams (or in the case of the phial, a single dram) of lava would be really cool!
Hegamonia 3 May, 2024 @ 4:18am
This is a very cool mod, and I like the idea behind the Klein bottle; I've a minor nitpick though, as when using QudUX it doesn't get filtered into the same list as the other liquid containers (The Jerrycan I assume shares code with the Camel Bladder because it doesn't need to be patched)
bidiguilo 24 Apr, 2024 @ 4:11pm
cool mod
|_| Clyax 11 Mar, 2024 @ 4:32am
Update: I found a Jerry Can spawn in a shop when I added this mid-save. I'm not sure about modified capacities working on any of the vanilla items aside from canteens, though.
|_| Clyax 11 Mar, 2024 @ 3:26am
I can confirm that adding these mid-save does not let you store more into the canteen. This mod may possibly not be able to be added mid-save at all.
Gravenwitch  [author] 7 Mar, 2024 @ 1:55am
@SpaceLatency, I'll look into it, could you send a screenshot of the jug in question? that would help me figure out which variant I missed
SpaceLatency 7 Mar, 2024 @ 1:41am
jugs capacity is unchanged for me, everything else works fine
|_| Clyax 6 Mar, 2024 @ 10:20pm
The Kleine Bottle is something that should be in the base-game to limit the back and forth travelling of moving liquids and trade goods.
Gravenwitch  [author] 2 Mar, 2024 @ 10:09pm
Thanks for the feedback! That's exactly what I aim to accomplish so I'm glad.
Nazglaar 2 Mar, 2024 @ 12:25pm
Hey Graven, just got back into CoQ after years and checking out mods I see you're on a roll! love how much you're adding to the game and that most mods are very vanilla friendly and balanced, with lore-matching explanations to your design decisions. Keep up the good work and looking forward to your mods growing in a modular game expansion :) I can see myself using many of them to permanently enhance the game once most are finished and balanced
whenwrašk 29 Feb, 2024 @ 10:28am
"glittertech" nice, rimworld reference? i've done something similar to the Kleine Bottle with the massive liquid containers that turrets equipped with psychal fleshguns have, by modifying the container with suspensors. thanks to an overreliance on spheres of negative weight and similar items, i'm entirely used to being immobilized by normality fields and usually have a strategy to deal with it without dying.
