i dont know anything about coding unfortunately, i checked out the program you mentioned but knowing myself i'll never figure it out :steamsad:

I use notepad++ (notepad-plus-plus[dot]org) . it makes such editing so easy.

i've opted to manually delete the mask lines from the head_light folder on each truck and write my custom mask lines into the pattern .sii so it applies to all trucks. it works pretty nicely although manually deleting lines took a bit of time, but it was worth it. for my custom mask, i created a folder called "custom" in the material folder. i put a more modern throw like those in modern cars!

If you mean "*_beam_range:" and "*_beam_angle:" (not mask), then yes, simply change them in \def\vehicle\truck\eyt_parameters\pattern.*.sui.
(Be aware, my next update will probably change "eyt_parameters" folder name.)

If you mean "mask", my mod uses default SCS masks.

Two options exist for changing those masks:
1) easier (applies change to all trucks simultaneously) - create a mod to overwrite \material\custom\trucklight_mask*.dds files [uses existing trucklight_mask*.tobj files], and DON'T edit \def\vehicle\truck\[brand.model\head_light\[file].sii.
OR
2) much harder (applies changes to one truck at a time) - create a mod with new [mask].dds, new [mask].tobj , and edit \def\vehicle\truck\[brand.model\head_light\[file].sii for each truck

hi again eddie, i really like the way you sctructured the mod now, i have a question... i have a custom headlight mask i want to use, if i place it in the patterns from the parameter folder, will it overwrite the mask already used in the default .sii on the truck folder? or do i have to delete the mask from that .sii in order to work?

brightness is subjective. personally my favorite is LED Lamps [L>H] (5000K)

I looked at his mod's head_light files: they're nicely done.
Adding strobe lights to my mod is a nice idea, but I don't have the time :(

Any chance in implementing strobe lights within the headlights? Like in the Accessory parts por SCS trucks mod.

I was just customizing a Mack Anthem and noticed that it had the option of sequential headlights with strobe lights and thought that it could be nice to have something like that, but also having the Xenon lights that I personally light.

If I choose the H option to keep the lowbeam pattern the same, the brightness is way dimmer than default. For example on my Freightliner with DRL the default is very bright LED, but the mod version with the same LED pattern is significantly dimmer.

On the w990 light I can't use both the low and high beams even with L H headlight configeration in the service center.

Oh man wouldn't that be a surprise! Maybe they'll pull a move like they did with what was it, the Cascadia? I wouldn't mind that. Also wouldn't mind the new VNL. We should be getting the 579 NG at some point soon, though. I mean they've been working on that for a few years now!

It's okay! I just want the 389 rework from SCS which will hopefully add headlight options. We are probably due for a new truck here soon, although not sure it's going to be a Peterbilt.

It's too bad the older trucks in the game like the Peterbilts don't have headlight options either. I miss equipping them with LED's haha XD

I love that truck too! Though it's modded trucks like that which worry me, because I am skeptical if SCS's version will be better or worse. His trucks set a high bar!

I think he updates his stuff pretty regularly. I was just curious because I was thinking of using that truck in the next version when it's released. I feel it'd be about the same as added hours other trucks. Are you excited for Missouri's release? It's gotta be close!
