i think its working but an independent kingdom in al-andalus is being funny again and invading france. i appreciate the mod for ending the ugly blobs in the middle east and so on, but i think itd be cool to add a gamemode that allows kingdoms to collapse past 1066. (they arent forming the empire of hispania because they wont take 1 more small duchy in galicia)

Really interesting idea, would you like maybe to join my team to create some cool mods in future?

though when i do my gameplays in there the islamic world fragmates on it's own anyway. all it takes is to reduce religous authority of islam down to critical levels and boom herescies come up and the calaphates fall apart both in spain and in the middle east.

@DerRitter ANY mods that change ANYTHING besides purely graphics (and even some of those!) are not compatible with achievements.

Idk, iberian muslims are often successful, but that's pretty much realistic. What is not realistic is that in all my games crusades are so op that all realms up to India become catholic. Sadly I couldn't find a mod to solve this problem.

this mod is epic!

Eh, I see where he's coming from. It's one thing to write out three separate comments littered with various ideas, another thing entirely to do that without even trying the mod first. Looks silly.

It is also not difficult at all to mod CK2 yourself; the stuff pyeama was writing is scripting that can be done on the client end. From what I can tell, his suggestions are just tweaking scopes and conditions that have already been established by this mod; that's straightforward enough that I could tell a layman to do as much and we'd be in business.

my god who hurt you bro

yeah thanks I don't need advice from you "ideas guy" types. call me an asshole or whatever, I don't care, I put my foot down on this. modding this game is literally as easy as opening up notepad. In the time you spent writing your wall of text you could've been halfway there to implementing such features yourself. don't be lazy, and don't patronize me with lists of all the very same things I've already considered when first developing this mod.

That's ok... I'm not a modder. I just thought that these suggestions should help in case u wanted to expand the mod.
Fine  [author] 12 Mar, 2024 @ 6:48pm
no thanks. feel free to make your own version (you can use mine as a base).

I have not played this mod so take this with a massive grain of salt... If you have good relations with someone, would this still cause a rebellion? Do traits matter? If not, consider adding some of these changes.

I think the event that causes a rebellion should be changed so that people with the ambitious, envious or a -50 opinion of the new leader would almost always claim the throne. People with the Proud, Stubborn or negative opinion of the new leader should be more likely to rebel. This makes it so the traits of the claimants determine how dangerous they are. This also ties in to making people with the negative opinion modifiers "my brother" and "my half brother" more likely to claim the throne, adding to historical realism.
pyeama 12 Mar, 2024 @ 9:19am
People who are Trusting, Honest, Kind, Craven, Shy, more than 60 years old or have a positive opinion of the new ruler are less likely to claim succession. People who are Just, Content, Humble, Less than 12 Years old or have a +50 opinion of the new ruler would almost never claim succession.

Also, even titled people should be able to claim leadership. This makes titled brothers and half brothers (of the same religion) very dangerous. To counterbalance this, the amount of troops people should spawn with should be reduced to 65-90% or something idk. In case this is not already in the mod, people with weak claims should not be included in the people that can rebel as many women also claim the title, something I think hinders realism / historical dynamics.
pyeama 12 Mar, 2024 @ 9:19am
In case this is not in the mod, the amount of time for the different claimants to get the event should be somewhat randomized, likely within the first 0-2 years of rule / while the counsel is discontent. This might make it more interesting from the Muslim perspective. This also gives the ruler some time to improve relations / hand out land / bribe other claimants in a desperate attempt to hold on to power. This also makes it so players have multiple ways of dealing with a succession crisis.

Once again I have not tried the mod so I'm saying this based on the description of the event as shown on steam. I'll try the mod when I get the chance and am on my pc. Also, all of these things are just my opinion on what would improve this event from the muslim perspective.

I do like the concept of this mod, but I would say a good idea for your next one, or even an update to this one, would be a decadence rework in collusion with this feature. Right now, decadence is rarely an issue for AI (unless their ruler has all 7 negative personality traits) and serves only to provide a positive stat boost to Muslim players. I think more events affecting decadence, and a higher chance of AI and players gaining the decadent trait (I have never received decadent, even with fat, greedy rulers) would serve the gameplay loop better.

This is so sick. You're one of the greatest CK2 modders of all time, truly.

Oh my god thank you, I was having a playtrough and the muslims were the dominant force only the bizantine empire kept them from advancing to me
