Tome of Discipline, Militant Culture seems to be bugged. It says there are no valid targets for the spell.

I just tested Reign of Terror and didn't crash. Steam is often fickle with mod update. Unsub/resub to force it to update.

Having this installed (tested by itself) seems to remove the Mystic culture tier 3 units. They're not visible in the Encyclopedia and they don't show up in the tooltip for the Mystic Spire in an new game.

The fps drop comes from old tomes not updated to latest Giant Kings DLC. The units have different structure, so units from the tomes needs to be updated.

Okay, it happens even on the world map. Since you can't prevent the AI from recruiting the units even if you don't, this mod is completely unusable after the latest patch.

Don't know if these units worked flawlessly before the update, but a lot of them have issues now. Massive FPS drop and slowing the game to a crawl (almost completely freezing it) when viewing any unit other than the Slave Soldier and Steppe Rider in the encyclopedia.

I am playing in beta for new update and wanted to give heads up. It seems that in the book The Tome of the Imperial Mantle the upgrade Imperial Troops doesnt work properly. Playing on feudal and it doesnt count defenders (1st tier feudal shield units) and liege guards (their 3rd tier upgrade) as shield units.

Holy crap those tomes and remaster calm are so cool! They aren't just +4 this and -2 that dmg like many vanilla tomes, but they are very thematic to play around and they do some silly things you would never gonna do in normal game. Love it guys, keep up fantastic work.

Am loving the mod, The diffrent tomes does feel quite well balanced over all and has some thought behind them which i appreicante. I do wonder though if "tome of the ruling crown" and "Tome of the crusader" might be to strong as teir 2 tomes given the imperium buff it gives. Its quite strong to get that much imperium that early. I´d love to hear other peoples thoughts on this as well.

Would also be cool if there was a later tome that used the slave reasource from tome of servitude, though i realise that is likely hard to implement.

The inspiration is on Tome of the Ruling Crown, which has 2 skills that work similar to the ones of one of his retired tomes from v1 of Cloak and Dagger, i don't think there's anything that may interact with Tomes of the Warlord, so maybe a 3rd party compatibility issue?

Nice to see this mod get updated for Ways of War and I can see you added your own version of ScienceFictionGuy's Tomes of the Warlord. I take it the difference here is you have to use tome units to bring the "special" units into play?

Additionally Tome of Subjugation got a small change:

Tome of Subjugation (Tweak) - Moved Subjugation Raid to Tome of Servitude, added "Dominion over the Weak" in it's place.

Reasoning - Subjugation is often thought as a weak tome, and with the inclusion of a new tome that overlaps a bit with it's theme, i felt it was the perfect chance to give it a little more power. This tweak should let Subjugation Raid shine during the early game where stealing POPs are more powerful, and it gives a badly needed boost for the Tyrant Knight and by extension, the whole tome power level.

Thank you for the mod! It is by far one of my favs. One problem though, I am using Alternative Tier III and two other unit mods for additional units. I also have other tome mods that have units added as well. The Imperial Troops unit enchantment won't give it's damage bonus to shield units in the other unit mods, but will give it to some other units in the other tome mods (some of them). I have tried mod load orders in every way and resubbing, and verifying integrity of game files. Is it simply a limitation?

Magelock gunners and line infantry have crossbow firing sounds. You will need to check and see if their connected to the magelock skill or modify it because they fixed it in 1.2

i think some of your minor transformation spells are OP. it's better to halve the effect. check DRACONIC VITALITY from Tome of Evolution, then you can see how overpowered belligerent culture is. enduring fervor also have too good efffect. this essentially give 6~9 more damage when hp is low. it's almost 'unit enchant' level effect. it's too much for minor transformation.

Hey guys, the new DLC is live and here's the update notes:

Fixed Steppe Rider Naga and Gloomstrider Bug.

Changed the name of Tome of Discipline to Tome of the Imperial Mantle.

Rebalanced a few skills.

Magelock Gunners are now a T1 unit and have reduced cost to produce, this is to be more inline with the medal changes.

Magelock Gunners and Line Infantry have an exclusive outfit for Oathsworn.
(Yes i played Japanese in AOE3, why do you ask?)

Turned the Old Tome Skills into Pantheon Ascensions:

Crusader - Ascension: Defender of the Faith - Warrior Priest + 20% healing Effectiveness.

Imperial Mantle - Ascension: Imperial Commander - Exclusive Tactical Order - Retreat! as a free action.

Ingenuity - Ascension: Iron Marshal - Bayonet Charge! - All Ranged units gain Charge Strike for 1 turn while blocking Ranged Skills.

Freedom - Ascension: Sky's God Champion - Winds! Follow Me with a lower Cooldown.

Does this mod either currently work for Eldritch Realms or is planned on being updated? I love the idea of additional magelock units as magic guns are a cool concept to me and new tomes are always fun. If not I understand, life happens and sometimes projects fall behind, just asking for confirmation and not to pressure you or anything

@bagas bug report: your mod breaks map generation during battles on fertile fields, namely: buildings from different biomes appear on the battle map, a village hut with a thatched roof may appear, a dark tower nearby, and a snow-covered tundra dwelling, all this will be on neighboring hexes. I can't say for sure about other battle maps, I noticed this bug during battles on the global map object "fertile plains".
I submitted a friend request on Steam to send screenshots.

The Magelocks in this mod evolve into a Tier 3 ranged unit called Line Infantry. Better stats of course but, they also do more damage when next to each other because of their special unit trait that does stack i think

historically, bayonet charges were done to make opposing army route. So, a bayonet charge skill could do bonus damage to low morale units. Just some ideas :)

Can also change the name of the unit to "Magelock Infantry"

Your tomes are on my top tier list!

I would just suggest to change the Magelock Gunners active skill for, instead of an AOE that is kinda awkward and out of place, to a bayonet charge or pushback (like the polearm pushback skill). Bayonet invention was truly a work of ingenuity, changing the nature of warfare of its time!

Asking for a bayonet model is too much for a mod, just the skill is enough to enjoy the feeling of ingame bayonet tactics :)

Hey. Not sure if you are still using this mod. But I would like to suggest something that could be easily changed, and completely fix one of the units added. The combat engineer from tome of ingenuity is VERY useless as he is, because of the balista summon. It is a very very weak summon with an attack cooldown of 2, so I would like to suggest, changing that to a Iron Golem Assistant summon. That would open up A LOT of very fun combinations to try, and make the engineer into a viable option for army composition.

Tome of the Crusader has an oversight with High Culture- namely that using Awakening still activates the Battle Priest passive and locks out other support abilities, which is a direct downgrade from normal awakening (since it's 0AP)
