Description
Adds Culture tome unit appearance, team color to some tome units without team color, cannon crew for reavers (requires submod), Proper anthro helmets and a set of optional appearance sets for some Cultures with their own unique tome unit appearancerence (requires submod).

this mod should be compatible with any and all culture mods and dlc from now and in the future

Way of War update and mode compatibility

Because of changes made this mod is no longer compatible with mods that modify base game tome units (examples that unit lore mod and any tome unit balence mods) if you want it to work with mods that does any changes to tome units you're going to have to change Is Culture Unit from false to true on all racial tome units in that mod or ask if the moder who made it can make a version where Is Culture Unit is set to true on all racial tome units there are no workaround that work without a lot of problems (Don't even suggest i use the culture set function to do it because i already tried that and it have its own problems like it only work for the player)


if you insist on using that lore mod or any balance mods load this mod at the bottom of the load order or make a compatible patch (you only need to enable is culture unit on tome units thats all).

I have decided to move the set function away from this mod in to its own sub mod so as to allow me to use it more as a asset plugin for my other mods to keep file size down across the board.

DO NOT USE ANY MODS THAT CHANGES TOME UNITS APPEARANCE THIS MOD DOSE THAT ALREADY AND IF YOU DO ITS GOING TO BREAK THINGS

Note: if you are using any of the folowing mods you must put this
mod below the following mods or this mod is going to have invisible models actually just put this mod at the bottom even if you are not using any of those just in case you never know it might just prevent some bug or something. Also if you are using Late Tier Cultural Units make sure to loade this mod above that mod.

Invisible model "bug" and how to fix

1. Don't use this mod https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2991355200 it's outdated and replaces the asset file with an older one breaking a bunch of stuff IN OTHER WORDS DON'T USE IT. (there are alternatives in the mod description)

2. Verify integrity of game cache, This will re download all mods so if the mod did not update its files properly this should fix it. (alternative unsub resub can fix it but is far more unrelebul)

3. if none of the things above fixed it then disabled mods until it works i guse.

Don't forget to rate and favorite the mod it helps with morale.

@Von Schnitzel Thanks for the quick response.

I also try to stay away from tome mods. The Tome of Warlord was my first one to try out and I was wondering about any conflict with yours because I noticed some visual issue which became too annoying to me... I will check that with the mod author separately though.

@B4rt0cH4 I guess it is i don't use tome mods my self and i likely never will.

That note is about mods that make changes to base game tome units like for example things like rebalance mods, unless a tome mod modify any base game units which is unlikely every thing should be fine.

Is this mod compatible with the Tome of Warlord mod? I was reading the note in the description above but it’s not so clear to me… For me the game doesn’t crash but the two added units are just smaller than the rest of my faction.

@Dros Masks are a tricky thing unlike some other helmets where you bend a few bits making the mask fit is really difficult comparative but i may look in to it when i find time between projects.

@BloodyBill If i remembered correctly it was removed in the base game for some reason and is now just a broken link. In order to fix this i would have to depot download a much older version of the game and that takes time to do.

Ohh oke, yeahh I noticed when I use that mod some units dont wear helmets particular oathsworn unless I did something wrong, I do hope you atleast make hero edition compatible again :c or merge it into this, like the hoplite looking helmets are soo coool

@GrimoireODS No that mod is not part of this mod, long story short i abandoned the mod it was based on someone reached out to me wanting to make a submod i saw an opportunity to get work of my over encumbered sholders so i could focus on things i actually wanted to work on. This mod used to have its own version which was an ai player friendly version of it but it was split of into its own submod.
