@Nobody No-One congrats on beating my workshop! Yeah that portal shot is a bit silly in retrospect. I still think its a cool shot but I wouldn't do that anymore. Having the first move be easy is usually best. I get you what you mean by the maps vibe, its very interesting how unique this map does feel. Especially in my workshop. Thank you for playing, I hope you play any future maps I do ^^

Finally I have completed all the MapChews (so far, I hope)! This one was a fun one; the first major portal shot to extract the cube from the area where it drops was a little obscure imo , but the realization that the ending condition was really just getting the cube to the light bridge source, and yet somehow it took so much back-and-forth to make that possible was really neat. Having a map with just cube buttons and a light bridge gave it a very interesting vibe; it felt a bit more "static" than most maps if you know what I mean, since you never really make anything happen remotely, it's all physically walking around and moving cubes yourself. Thumbs up!

@Riishuu Thank you ^^ Also yeah I very much agree, they are easier as a supportive element, however a good lightbridge map can be REALLY fun.

Nice job, I feel like light bridge only puzzles are very hard to make because they are more static than the funnel or laser

Thank you Masalt! Haha yeah my map ratings can fluctuate a lil

This took me a long time, mainly because I couldn’t think of an end sequence, apart from that I assumed I needed to get the cube into the light bridge area which, after a few attempts over several days, I managed to achieve. However, I could not think how to complete it, so I eventually gave up and watched the end of Mr Fad’s video :steamsad: I didn’t do that bit quite the same as them, but it achieved the same result intended solution ? Anyway, enough of my sob story; brilliant puzzle, definite  and added to my favourites.

Really nice map! I was surprised by the subtlety of some of the moves :)

i just couldnt find a use for the two surfaces under the ledge and then i realized i didnt need any of them.

@Aneonen!!! Thank you for playing this AND the older version!! Yeah the Slightline could've been better , but i'm glad you liked it otherwise ^^ Also glad you liked the thrust of it, I thought it ended up being a unique premise for a map!
Aneonen 12 Mar, 2024 @ 11:42am
Nice puzzle! This version is generally more interesting than the one I played. I enjoyed that the puzzle's main thrust is in manipulating the cube until it can access a portal surface. Other than that one sightline you know I don't like , I found it to be a fun space to explore.
Mattchew  [author] 11 Mar, 2024 @ 12:55pm
@Dolphiner Yeah with that alternate solution I didn't enforce it cause like you said, it is a bit more messy and not as user friendly for my taste. However, I also didn't prevent it since the way to do it would overly restrict the map. I think having it exist is fine, as it doesn't break anything. Thanks Dolph, i'm glad you like !

@Narkodes Thank you man!
Mattchew  [author] 11 Mar, 2024 @ 12:52pm
@jandlml yee sounds like what I was thinking. I have a fix for that but wont be published until the contest is over. Thank you!
Dolphiner 11 Mar, 2024 @ 5:44am
Great map! I over complicated the last part by flinging myself to the top of the lightbridge with the cube like I did in part 2 of your walkthrough. It was a bit messy so I'm thankful your alternative exists.

Very nice map, thanks for creating. Took me a while to realize the gap above the fizzler. Big thumbs up.
jandlml 10 Mar, 2024 @ 3:22pm
if you are talking about going from the lower bridge to the higher bridge then all i did was made a portall for the bridge, then i made a portal on the wall i dropped through the portal so i could land on the bridge. to change the bridge from bottom to top i just turned so i was standing in the other direction, jumped hit the portal on the bridge and now im standing on the top. is that what you were asking?
Mattchew  [author] 9 Mar, 2024 @ 4:18pm
@Jandlml Ah, it seems you've skipped a good chunk indeed! Can you describe how you got up on the bridge? Reading it my best guess is you shot in the middle of the two tall surface. Which is not intended and seems to be a result of abusing the magnets. I will see if I can fix this.
jandlml 9 Mar, 2024 @ 3:31pm
i dont know how to make a video but i can try to explain how. i got the cube im sure the right way so i wont talk about that. so once i got the cube i put it on the button that opens the fizzle wall near the portal wall surface. then i went up and got on the bridge. i made it so it was on the top of the portal so i could walk over the fizzle wall. i used the bridge to walk to the respawn button. grabbed the cube , made a portal on the surface on the opposite off the exit. took the cube through to the bridge. then i made a bridge in the middle of the portal i put the gube on the bridge, went through the portal to land on the bridge. then i put a bridge on the side where the door button is. the cube falls out on the bride. then i make a bridge again on the wall, then the cube falls on the button. then i put the bridge back so i can walk out the door. hope this makes sense

I liked it very much. Pretty sure I did it as you intended, it felt right anyway. Big Thumbs Up on this one. Cheers.

Hi! May I see what you did?
jandlml 8 Mar, 2024 @ 3:52pm
i didnt get your intended solution. i didnt need the three portal surfaces on the level with the entrance door.
