and font size?
MrZhu 22 Feb @ 12:21pm
how to change UI scaling?
toomanynights  [author] 31 Jan @ 4:40am
Hi @Count0, great work on updating those! Personally I don't mind if you share the updated version in workshop. You'd have to do the same with SimpleUI in order for this to work, but I don't think the author would mind (do ask though).
Count0 31 Jan @ 1:57am
Hi toomanynights. I have just ported both simple UI and Todo list mod to b42 and it seems that ISSafetyUI:addToUIManager is no longer needed and ISSimpleTickBox:createChildren needs to be updated since the tickbox size is set to 1 and does not change.
toomanynights  [author] 22 Jan @ 9:30am
@ultranoise AFAIK, the library this mod uses wasn't ported for B42, and I don't think I'll manage without it. Thanks for the comment though!
ultranoise 22 Jan @ 1:01am
i need this mod for ver.42...

@Michael You're welcome, enjoy!
Michael 15 Dec, 2024 @ 12:59am
@toomanynights that makes complete sense, thank you for making the mod.
toomanynights  [author] 15 Dec, 2024 @ 12:55am
Hi @Michael, thanks for your kind feedback.
I've developed the mod to the usable working state. At this time I'm not working on it further.
Michael 14 Dec, 2024 @ 12:35pm
is this still being worked on? its very cool!
Rusty #DopeRust 22 Oct, 2024 @ 3:54pm
Hello @toomanynights.

Firstly, thank you for your awesome mod, and contribuition to the community of PZ, its a awesome feature to have, in my oppinion.

Secondly, i think i found a mod that doesnt play well with yours, if you have this mod with yours active, you lose the ability to click on the UI toggle that that mod creates, if you drag that UI toggle bellow your UI toggle on the left panel.

I've tried to put your mod above in the load order, the result is the same, if you put it below same as well, so i dont know what i can do.

Hope to be able to use both in the future.

Cheers.

@음악대장 It is not easy, I can tell you that. But you can vote for that function, link to the vote is in the main description :lunar2019piginablanket:

Is it difficult to add scrolling functionality? If you have a lot to take notes, it would be nice to be able to scroll up and keep taking notes

@tungsten15 Glad you find it useful mate

This is a must for anyone like me, having ADHD issues... hey look a Katina...
toomanynights  [author] 9 Aug, 2024 @ 5:47am
@Trapito222 I'll look into it when I have time, but it doesn't seem critical, as you can just assign a hotkey and hide it with one key press :lunar2019piginablanket:
~vicky.salazar92~ 9 Aug, 2024 @ 5:01am
Hi, thanks for this great mod, its been helping me a lot, but i was wondering if the list popping up as soon as you load in a new world could be changed so it does not anymore.
toomanynights  [author] 18 Jun, 2024 @ 10:49am
@Jaxx - pshoooo It's doable I guess, but I'd have to create a whole system that knows the difference between a word and a whitespace, counts if the current word would fit on the remaining space, then decides if it should move it to the next line or break it if it occupies the entire line... Then there are corner cases like multiple whitespaces... Not worth the effort if you ask me :)
Jaxx - pshoooo 18 Jun, 2024 @ 9:31am
ah, yeah, i get it. i guess it's just irksome seeing a word cutoff like that, and idk the technicalities of being able to define if a word is so long to just segment it anyways instead of forcing infinite new line breaks :') so idk how practical it even is
toomanynights  [author] 17 Jun, 2024 @ 10:21pm
@Jaxx - pshoooo I am hesitant to mess with the line breaking system, to be honest. I've already completely rewritten this part in Simple UI API (originally it would just cut the "unneeded" letters, but I thought that wouldn't fly). It works surprisingly well now, but that may well stop if I add conditions like "if the word is so long, move it to the next line, and if so - break it".
toomanynights  [author] 17 Jun, 2024 @ 10:17pm
@Jaxx - pshoooo Ah. I see the idea now.
Wouldn't go too well with extremely long words, would it?
Jaxx - pshoooo 17 Jun, 2024 @ 12:55pm
to be more specific, i mean putting the entire word on the next line if it's cut off by the line break instead of segmenting i[dot]gyazo[dot]com/f95fd52a6a1b96c5ba4da262f4ef704f.png
toomanynights  [author] 16 Jun, 2024 @ 11:30pm
@Jaxx - pshoooo It's supposed to happen already. Send some screenshots if it doesn't.
Jaxx - pshoooo 16 Jun, 2024 @ 8:52pm
is it possible to enforce new line breaks when a word is cut-off by the end of the space allotted?
toomanynights  [author] 2 Jun, 2024 @ 3:23am
@Alpha Gamer Just use hotkeys, they are listed on the screenshots above:lunar2019piginablanket:
Alpha Gamer 2 Jun, 2024 @ 2:50am
I messed up. So basically I have a text document on my pc that lists all the different vhs tapes, books and medicines listed and i tried to copy and past ehte lot into the to do list UI as one full set. I soon realised that it needed to be more simple than that and add one item at a time, now when i load in I have the full list blow uout the whole screen and i cannot delete it because there isnt a scroll bar to get to the option to delete the list.

@olimpus Great, enjoy!
olimpus 22 May, 2024 @ 2:57pm
I'm sorry, my fault. I hadn't put the mod in the saved game. Great mod, prize for you and thanks
toomanynights  [author] 30 Apr, 2024 @ 9:51am
@SoNya Not at this time. You can vote for this feature in the poll in you need it! (See description for more details)

Is it shareable to other users in MP??

@Great_Puffer So you see an error when you click the link? Can you try to manually copy & paste it into address bar?
https://tally.so/r/mYW855
Great_Puffer 15 Mar, 2024 @ 3:12pm
apparently i cant vote on it due to it being unsafe due to family sharing
(its because of an allowance, and honestly it flags stuff that it shouldnt like a page on tires)
toomanynights  [author] 15 Mar, 2024 @ 12:00pm
@force A tratt You can draw on a map, sure - but I found it personally more handy to have an interface for that. And rather than keeping it to myself, I decided to release it as a mod so others could use my work as well.

Tell you what. Maybe you should try it? It costs you nothing and it only weighs 4MB (99% of which is pictures). Give it an honest go. If you find it's not your cup of tea - unsubscribe and forget about it, it may just be not for you. Fair enough.
If, however, you find it useful after all - enjoy it! Not even asking to tell me that you changed your mind. An upvote, however, would be helpful in that case, as every downvote buries the mod in the workshop charts, so less people see it.

In any case, do what you must. That's what's good about mods. Peace.
force A tratt 15 Mar, 2024 @ 10:04am
well is kinda useless since you can draw on the map it aint really that many steps to do so unless your lazy to draw. overall i think it looks cooler drawing on the map than having a hud to check stuff it doesnt really feel like you got "freedom" to do so i havent tried the mod eitherway so idk?
toomanynights  [author] 15 Mar, 2024 @ 9:39am
@force A tratt That's what I did, until I realized that each time I have to:
- open the map (it takes a second or two to be opened),
- drag to the part where I keep my list,
- add a new note,
- align to the rest of the text,
- click on each item I want removed and find the interface button to remove it,
- close the map.
Quite a lot of actions for something that can be done with a UI that's right in front of your eyes, and that, unlike the map, is dedicated to the task at hand, don't you think?

If that doesn't convince you, I get it, to each their own. Write on a map. But don't insult my work. It took me weeks of my time to get this one out, it's hardly flattering to see it called "useless shit".

@Pvt. 32Alpha [10th MD] :winter2019coolyul: you're welcome!
32Alpha 15 Mar, 2024 @ 7:22am
This works great. Thank you.
force A tratt 15 Mar, 2024 @ 5:33am
just write on your map lmfao this shit useless.
toomanynights  [author] 14 Mar, 2024 @ 1:40am
@baby make boom boom Ah, you meant the transparency. Yeah, the idea was to have it on only when you need it, just like Health or Inventory UI. You can toggle it with a hotkey - default is Num. (dot), can be customized.
wawawiwa 14 Mar, 2024 @ 1:22am
Oh, don't get me wrong it is minimalist, what i meant to say is, making those black background to be transparent so it doesn't obstruct the view

then again, this mod is probably intended for the user to toggle it, instead leaving it on 24/7
toomanynights  [author] 14 Mar, 2024 @ 12:52am
@baby make boom boom I thought it was just as minimalistic as possible 😅
Can you please give an example of the design you had in mind?
wawawiwa 14 Mar, 2024 @ 12:32am
Great mod! i can finally ditch my note, kinda wish it designed like those generic minimalist transparent quest tab,
toomanynights  [author] 13 Mar, 2024 @ 10:43pm
@SԋσɾƚSɳαxx :steamthumbsup:

@Great_Puffer Personally I don't think this is what this mod requires the most. But if you think otherwise, you can vote for "To-do list as a physical item" here: https://tally.so/r/mYW855
Great_Puffer 13 Mar, 2024 @ 6:17pm
so much more helpful than using a notepad ingame, although it might be nice to make it so that you can only use it if you have an item that you could write on on your person
ShortSnacc 13 Mar, 2024 @ 5:51pm
Oh nice. This will be handy.
toomanynights  [author] 11 Mar, 2024 @ 11:51am
@Ant Hell yeah! Time to write a list in the game to get confused about when you load up your save a month later :horsemann:
Ant 11 Mar, 2024 @ 11:25am
This is great. No more having to write a list on Google Keep and then getting confused when I read it a month later.
toomanynights  [author] 10 Mar, 2024 @ 10:25am
@ADDU I hope it will! As long as you don't forget to use the list :6face:
