Hey, I don't know if anyone here still plays on 1.4, but for some reason the auto-reloading settings for the Warchief keep reverting back to 300 for the main cannon. Other VE vehicles seem to be affected by this too and it's only happened after I built a Badger so maybe this is a VE Vehicles problem but I figured I'd ask around.

@Jack Reaver you know, its strange looking back just how much the comments meant when making mods, always pushing ya forward in some way. feel like garbage knowing there is a ton of mods I still have in development that will never see the light of day. but just so you know jack or anyone reading it was a damn pleasure to serve ya... also thanks :selike:

I find myself in need of a big tank covered in guns so I'm going to have a go converting this to 1.5; from a quick look it will be relatively straightforward to get the core vehicle functionality working then I can look at the unique abilities. I've going to try for at least an initial update in the next few days.

I need this for 1.5, a burner tank explodes before it runs over 50 zombies and im getting hit with 200+ every few weeks, I got zombies to run over and this tank is the only one that can get the job done right.

Despite this game being a sci fi setting, there aren't many sci fi vehicle mods yet and even less which aren't based on some existing franchise

Yes i know vanilla expanded team is making an imperial and sci fi ww1 vehicle mods but those are likely many months away

for those wondering I already sent a request for Mlie to work on this. But they are trying to update there 800+ current mods to 1.5 and bug fix them. As well as there is a load of new mods being requested to them as quite a few authors have stopping modding or just haven't seemed to be active anymore.

I'm sure there's probably someone out there that would continue this if you asked around? There have been "continued" collections made before, and these vehicles would be utterly perfect for a colony I'm trying to make

suggestion: a new truck that is a ammo truck or troop truck that is made to run over enemies. just a suggestion.

How do you reload the main gun on the tank? I have high-explosive shells loaded and can load click the button to reload the smaller guns, but not the main gun

@JT It doesn't work by weight as mod creators could make a car weigh 4000 and another mod creator could make a tank that has a weight of 1, that wouldn't work out, the Avenger can hold a default of 15 Cells- the Overall physical space the vehicle would take in the real world and has space for that, so you can hold 15 bicycles that take a 1x1 area Or 3 cars that take 5 cells for example.

If you need more space you can edit the Mod Settings (For this mod not vehicle framework settings) to adjust how big the cargo hold can be.

But for the reason you cant load vehicles is you need to select the "View all" option at the top there is a little option for that.

@Halituis I cannot load any vehicles into the avenger, could you post a list with the allowed weights, Also, whenever i click load vehicle on the avenger it just opens the load items caravan option. Apart from that i love the mod. Keep it up

The thing is its not that it cant move at all, it CAN move in larger areas, just smaller areas (that are slightly bigger than the tank) it cant but oh well, like u said we should hope for an update on VF's side of things

Sorry guys, Path-finding is not my department. not something I can solve. I wouldn't the slightest clue why pathfinding is not working on smaller areas as All I can do in my end is XML stuff and C# that affects individual vechiles.
Best best is Vehicles framework comes up with an update to help pathfinding for bigger vehicles.

how much space does the warchief need to move? areas it sems like it should be able to move in (this rim of mine city streets for example as it can be built on the streets just fine) is cannot move in.

Found the vehicles in mod options under Vehicle framework. But there is nothing to change cell size.

Is it possible to use the Avenger as pure transport option, eg flying to a caravan's tile and load up the loot and fly back again without abandoning the tile and caravan?

Sometimes when I do a "custom landing" on a new tile, the plane (and colonists) would completely disappear.

This happened a few times when I was doing VFE Deserter missions where I'm landing on a crashed shuttle, and happens just right when I unpause the game after a map load.

@Infi - apologies, that mod in particular is called Combat extended and the reason me and other abbreviate it to CE is because It wont show up in search results, Its a very complicated and well crafted mod but very popular, overhauls the combat so most people usually ask if its Compatible. No other mods are that integral that it needs to be expressly stated.

It is nice that you provide a small FAQ, but as someone without much Rimworld mod knowledge and just playing occasionally, it would be great if incompatibilities could be spelled out as i have not a single clue which mod CE is
