I was wrong! The mod is in fact save game compatible. Just give it a few months and the laws set themselves as they should be.

@Kitkat I don't think so. You wouldn't be able to pass any laws since you'd start without them. Still, it could work- maybe make a backup and try loading just to check?

I found that this mod's laws covers the administrative's laws in the realm tab for some reason. Hopefully this will get fixed at some point.

Hello, I have the same crash issue as Ēarendel and for me it occurs while playing a landless character and trying to accept a martial scheme contract for a duke in the byzantine empire. It doesn't really matter to me to disable this mod while I'm landless until I'm landed but hopefully this little tidbit of information might help narrow down the problem

@fredericogames I debated on adding something like that in the beginning, but I decided it was kind of anachronistic and already represented in the religion tolerance aspect of the religions themselves. However, these tolerance tenets are one of the features that I plan on integrating into the mod :)

Hello! I really like this mod, however I was hoping to know if it would be possible to make a religious tolerance feature

There is another mod called "more laws" that is less elaborated than your but has this feature I really like

It removes the different religion penality and disallows for the converting of counties

If you could add such feature Id be grateful

there should be a way to get rid of vassals as the true end goal of centralization is the realm to become a real country, and the eastern romans should start at this segment

Sorry you are right, the files do indeed exist they were just not where I expected them to be, Steam workshop places them in a different folder.

The errors that loops fairly often in the log looks like this:

The file "00_economic_laws.txt" doesnt exist so the game keeps spamming an error in the log related to this, I'm not sure this is part of this mod but I'm taking a stab in the dark here. Is this file missing in the download or is it a problem on my side?

does this also work with AI? I know at the beginning it says "player-affected" but not sure if that means that the AI has the vanilla system or the mod´s system.

@teelicht I agree that it would be interesting to add an investiture law, but I'm concerned about how that might interact with the vanilla religious mechanics and what that means for compatibility. On the point of legitimacy though, it is actually already a part of the mod! although it simply increases the centralization score as opposed to capping it :)

@zewasplays I really like your mod! It feels like an integral part of the base game. Some suggestions:
1. Integrate some sort of investiture (church vs lay) functionality. There is a similar feature in the "Catholic Trinity" mod which overall feels quite convoluted and out of place. In your mod this could also determine the tax levels that you can set for church holdings.
2. I feel, the penalties for higher tax levels could be more severe.
3. I really like the "Coronations" mod which adds a lot of flavour around playing within the HRE. It goes along quite well with Centralization, however some aspects (Authority vs Centralization values) seem quite similar.
4. Maybe tie it with the new Legitimacy mechanic, i.e. by capping the max. centralization depending on your legitimacy value.

It could just be something that happens on startup or when creating a new game I suppose, would have to playtest for a longer period of time to see if the logs calm down or not after the initial period, basically just waiting for this mod to update before I can start with a longer playthrough and report back what happens.

Thanks! As additional info I'm getting options under a category called "Uncategorized (DEBUG)" whenever i rightclick a character (I don't use debug mode) with the options "send_option", "should_use_extra_icon" and "extra icon", maybe this will help. It all goes away whenever I disable this mod but it could of course be a conflict, everything was working fine and dandy a few days ago.

I'm getting a repeated error in my error log (It's 6MB large of 1min of playing) thats called [jomini_scriptvalue.cpp:244]: Div/0 near file: common/on_action/centralization_on_actions.txt line: 21, it's coming from this mod but I'm unsure what the problem is, I'm running a few other mods like RICE and VIET and the unofficial patch and i have a few of the DLC too. I haven't had any issues before the update and this happens on a new game.

Performance issues have been fixed! The game will slow down a little bit four times a year, but overall the speed has increased dramatically.
