Does anyone know if there is a patch or a mod or something that restores the campaign cinematics back to the way that they were, instead of the slides just automatically "appearing" on after the other?
Let me know.
Thanks very much.

Just uploaded the Saladin Expanded.
I'll be sure to fix the first mission and re-check Genghis Khan campaign again. Thanks for letting me know.
Guys, if you would like to support me (in order to prioritze my mod-making for particular titles as opposed to other titles, and to keep me focused/incentivized/motivated to do so), please support me on Patreon here: https://www.patreon.com/turankhan
I'd really really appreciate any and all help that you'd provide me. These take a long time. I enjoy doing these for free. But I'm exploring opportunity to possibly do this full-time... but in order to do these full-time, I need to get compensated.
I need to grow my YouTube, blog and other activities as well. Oh boy.
when i choose between green and purple tribe and destroy one of them , 80% of AI of the game abandons..it means that if u didnt bring the sheeps to blue before choosing between green and purple, blue will never join the horde...then they wont give you a monk and grey cannot get its relic . And the game is impossible to win after that.
Listened to your guys feedback, especially @Madatom (thanks buddy!) making the Merkid "doomstack" lesser with less frequent attack cycles. Overall made Mission 2 easier with more starting military units and a simpler flow. Removed the gate since it wasn't working with Rocks that get replaced after you kill the snow leopard. With no Siege equipment and two enemy Castles out in the back, this is still a tough mission already.
Unless the player is instructed otherwise most players are going to take the northern camp like they normally would in the old scenario and then begin eco while scouting forward in the direction of the Kara-Khitai, only then to be suddenly attacked by a teal army many times in strength in comparison to what the player has available
this "doomstack" should be replaced with smaller forces raiding in intervals, or be seriously delayed
1st mission, once I've done any of the mission a player resigns (not the appropiate one) I had to kill all the players to make it end.
2nd mission, killing Red or P6 (I killed both at the same time) got me defeated. Looks like triggers with player numbers are wrong.
Also, minor bug, constantly getting the sound and comment about red slinging red or whoever it is.
Please fix, the campaign was looking good.
To me it was VERY reminiscent of the old AoK and AoC campaigns. I'm actually trying to contact him in order to do my own Tamerlane campaign possibly. For example, I really love one mission where you choose in which town to build up, with pros/cons for each location. More macro-level troops strategy is what I like instead of micro-level unit strategy of MOBAs and so on.
I think the simplicity of the old one's was a key part of their brilliance. I love triggers and mapwork as much as the next guy, but when the story makes little sense or is a collection of missions involving "move small group throughout map" it kind of gets old. I don't know its weird...kind of feels like not many people are a fan of the old "build and destroy" campaigns.
Can you recommend any campaigns that are like the old one's? I've looked (even checked AoK modder's site), but most stuff is really old or not what I'm looking for.
I too hate mini RPGs in AOKs. I appreciate the modder's ingenuity, but Age of Empires is for building bases, empires, and training units and attacking.
I do like creating optional quests though, as long as their strategic and not RPG in essence.
IF and WHEN I'll get free time again, I'll try and create at least one TK custom campaign. See how you like it, is it closer to the classic or would I be overdoing it again like most mapmakers.
The purpose of me writing this out was to see if anybody could recommend any custom campaigns that are actually good - something reminscent of the old Age of Kings campaigns. I've played a handful of custom campaigns and for the most they all seem like mini RPG's or are just entirely too easy. Any suggestions would be appreciated
I'm planning my own new TK campaign, most likely focusing on Russian Saga Apos basically Russian History, focusing on the Slavs civilization which wasn't covered by FE (Magyars, Italians and now Indians were covered well, love love love the FE campaigns). Another idea is take Marco Polo and follow him on his incredible journey through Europe and Asia, ending up at the court of Khublai Khan in preparation for the invasion of Japan.
AoF_1302 and I are discussing early plans for a Langobard or Lombard campaign to jointly work together on. That sounds exciting! So there are more stuff coming from me in the near future.
Much appreciated.
- All Missions received a custom Scenario Instruction Map (see screenshots)
- Mission #2: Both Kushluk (Green) and Kara-Khitai (Red) must be defeated. Just killing Kushluk is no longer enough
- Mission #2 triggers fixed and streamlined. Mainly the Yellow Caravanserai's units at one point will disappear completely from the map, this time
- Mission #5: Loss entry typos fixed
- Other smaller fixes here and there
