It would be nice if the standing cooler could be adjusted like the vanilla heater because it always give the slept in the cold mood penalty

I like this mod. :steamhappy:
DarkSlayerEX 11 Jul @ 5:26pm
_west/_north/_south are just suffixes the game appends to the texture path definition for the game to know which texture sets the object uses for it's facing directions.

I'm a little confused though as to why you're even using things like "WallMountedHeaterM" as a texture path. Aren't the texture names ending with M specifically used as color masks?
- Abby Sciuto 11 Jul @ 10:25am
@Sarg Bjornson It's a texture PATH , not a texture, even then the texture name is *ACM_West, North and South.

I will use your bug report form...
sebo2203 11 Jul @ 2:53am
I opened the mod options for this specific mod... and now I am unable to close the window. The game just ignores me pressing the X and I am now stuck. Unable to escape. I will probably have to force quit the game and reload from last save... great. Checking your discussion, it seems this is an issue from 2024.. how come this is still a thing?

Did you even read my comment?

missing textures for the ac

<texPath>Things/Building/WallMountedHeater/WallMountedHeaterM</texPath> to
<texPath>Things/Building/WallMountedHeater/WallMountedHeater</texPath>

<texPath>Things/Building/WallMountedAC/WallMountedACM</texPath> to
<texPath>Things/Building/WallMountedAC/WallMountedAC</texPath>
Sarg Bjornson 10 Jul @ 12:59am
Yeah, cool. Except... the correct path is the one ending in M

The mod upload may have gone wrong, and the xml was pushed but not the images. We will look into it

Same issue with texture missing on both my Mac and Windows PCs.

Changing;
<texPath>Things/Building/WallMountedHeater/WallMountedHeaterM</texPath> to
<texPath>Things/Building/WallMountedHeater/WallMountedHeater</texPath>

<texPath>Things/Building/WallMountedAC/WallMountedACM</texPath> to
<texPath>Things/Building/WallMountedAC/WallMountedAC</texPath>

Resolved it for me, they are the only 2 thingdefs that seem to have the 'M' after their defname reference

Don’t you guys check GitHub issues? Someone already created a related issue a few hours ago and clearly pointed out the problem.

I also am not getting the missing textures... I wonder if it is a different OS kinda problem? Any of you on Mac?
Ancient0fDaze 9 Jul @ 7:26pm
Fixing the missing textures in Buildings_Temperature.xml and ACNet.xml still leaves the items rotation / placement centered on the "temperature effect" cell, instead of the object itself.
BorisTheAnimal 9 Jul @ 7:19pm
also having an issue with missing textures here
Wintermist 9 Jul @ 5:13pm
I also wonder why the wall mounted AC units use so much power? If they're linked to a main AC unit they should basically only be an air vent and pump in air coming from the AC compressors. If unconnected they would be a stand alone AC unit, but not if connected to the network
Wintermist 9 Jul @ 5:01pm
Yeah I too have that missing texture thing. Still works though :D
moo 9 Jul @ 4:19pm
Ok I revalidated, resubbed and it's an issue with the XML pointing to non-existent textures (mistyped 'm'):
<texPath>Things/Building/WallMountedHeater/WallMountedHeaterM</texPath>
<texPath>Things/Building/WallMountedAC/WallMountedACM</texPath>
McMookerson 9 Jul @ 4:14pm
I am also having those missing texture errors. Also getting a critical UI error when trying to close the Mod Settings page. Submitted two bug reports along with the HugsLib log when only VTE + Framework + HugsLib is active.
moo 9 Jul @ 3:57pm
Well that's weird. Revalidation here I come!
Oskar Potocki  [author] 9 Jul @ 3:29pm
Nope, nothing missing on my end.
moo 9 Jul @ 2:02pm
Hi Oskar,
Two missing texture groups:
- WallMountedACM from Textures\Things\Building\WallMountedAC
- WallMountedHeaterM from Textures\Things\Building\WallMountedHeater

Bug report: the 1.6 update is causing an odd issue where areas within the light range of a light source become unselectable; the game UI also disappears when mousing over those areas, so I've had to disable VTE for now. It occurs even when only VTE and the Vanilla Framework are loaded with no other mods. I appreciate your work!
Teemo 9 Jul @ 6:07am
Sorry, didn't realize it was in breach of license. I took it down
Oskar Potocki  [author] 9 Jul @ 12:11am
Without my permission while we were working on the update. In breach of license too. Good job.
Punished "Venom" Avacado 8 Jul @ 7:14am
VANILLA EXPANDED TEAM, UPDATE VANILLA TEMPERATURE EXPANDED TO 1.6 AND MY LIFE IS YOURS!!!
mata 4 Jul @ 9:42pm
oh- my mistake, it seems like this mod isnt working at all for me and that's probably why animals aren't seeking out the outdoor heat.
mata 4 Jul @ 7:23pm
It would be very appreciated if animals utilized outdoor heat sources to stay warm in cool weather, it seems they ignore campfires and such.
Immortan Joe 3 Jul @ 11:36am
Nevermind
Teemo 29 Jun @ 7:12pm
Based on small amounts of testing this works in 1.6 as is
Smegma_Sage 10 Jun @ 12:19pm
Temperature is really important to manage in Rimworld, yet all they have is a silly little wall cooler and expect you to make 3 wide ventilation pipes out of walls. So, this is mod I won't play without and it's the best iteration of temp controlling mods I've seen come and go over the years.

Thanks
TheGothEmperex 9 Jun @ 4:52am
@Friedrich von Luxemburg Unless they've fixed it in the last week, the patch is still needed yeah.
Friedrich von Luxemburg 2 Jun @ 10:32pm
Do we still need this fix mod?
VTE - Proxy Heat Patch

Can you connect vents with ducts for double wide walls?

няшмяш 29 May @ 11:11pm
Fans don't cost components but can break down, which cost components to fix. c'est la vie
ShockedHearts 27 May @ 9:24pm
while this is super impressive I honestly just want proxyheat back. this is amazing but way too complicated. the only feature I want is proximity heating and cooling.
I CANT BREEF 26 May @ 3:40am
Man, this is too much stuff. The proxy heat mod was so fine for nomadic playstyle, small neat thing that added so much value. And now it's no longer updated. We need simple proxy temperature mod not the bloat things with six gazillion pipes, some kind of nodes that connect to some other nodes and connects to some other thing. Noone asked for that.
GoofyGoober 25 May @ 6:13pm
I really hope this works with celsius
Vampire 20 May @ 4:53pm
I would like to second the request for the subterranean air ducts to be indestructible like the hidden conduits.
Pungent Pickle 18 May @ 12:25pm
How is the Integration between this and Dubs' Mods, specifically the Heat Exchangers from Rimatomics and the stuff from Bad Hygiene and Dubs' Heating?
TheNamelessOne 17 May @ 10:11am
Is it possible to make the subterranean air ducts indestructible like hidden conduits? Thanks.
Rime Pendragon 15 May @ 12:39am
When I build a ceiling fan above an existing bed, they deconstruct the bed before building the fan, which is really inconvenient.
Deankiller Turnupseed 13 May @ 10:28pm
does this work with celsius?
Kanedogg 10 May @ 7:51am
Lovin this mod. Works great ... :steamhappy:
leosefcik 9 May @ 1:38pm
What is the efficiency of the different heaters (wall, over-wall)? Do they have the exact same as a normal one?
King Matt 👑 9 May @ 7:57am
Great work on this mod and I love the aesthetic, however I am looking for the radiant temperature aspect only; Any chance you can separate these out again?
