Fix Inside Player Building

This still happens in build 42 for some reason, I think we need a b42 port.
Vega 17 Jun @ 7:19am
Is there a bug where it will not recognize second floors in homes? or did I do something wrong? the first floor works, the second does not

Thank you very much
Ill use the active fix method privately before I open the server for my friends tonight then, and just keep the passive method active ongoing, since my friend has built a player made house recently.

Hopefully it fixes the edge of our base not being counted as outside for rain as a by-product too (that might just be a mod building issue though lol).
Tchernobill  [author] 2 Apr @ 3:35pm
@marshmallow justice
it is not required server side.
it only needs to be on one client turned on/off anytime.
you can even activate / deactivate it during the game with Star's "Change Sandbox Options" mod (or any mod alike).
marshmallow justice 2 Apr @ 2:54pm
Hello , i'm sorry to bother you but as the server owner do I activate it on the server as well? Or is it enough for me to put it on my client, privately go in the world first and run around our base to let it do its thing (if applicable) and then turn it off?

(regarding the "Active Fix" method)

Aque te referis con esto ? tu mod consume mucho cpu y lo tengo que desactivar despues de que haya eliminado los pilares ??? It drains your cpu ressources and could slow the game. Deactivate 'Active Fix' once you are satisfied.
Tchernobill  [author] 4 Jan @ 3:13pm
@Blessed Mother Afaik yes.
The most problematic object (the pillar) was removed from the game.
Afaik there is not other object with the same problem.
Someone will tell what other object is a problem if any.
Blessed Mother 4 Jan @ 3:00pm
Was this fixed in B42?
The † Faith † 29 Aug, 2024 @ 10:02pm
Building menu compatible?
Thorium 25 Aug, 2024 @ 1:20pm
I cannot locate the sandbox options for this mod in server settings, is it just me?
Jerry The Terrorist 20 Aug, 2024 @ 8:44am
can you make inside, outside, with this?
Tchernobill  [author] 15 Jul, 2024 @ 11:12am
@✪Ghost幽灵.2G remove the mod. Note: it should not change anything as this mod does not drain CPU without the active option but at least you'll see it.
✪Ghost幽灵.2G 14 Jul, 2024 @ 8:36pm
i deactivated active fix and its still draining my fps
Jorck3 25 Jun, 2024 @ 1:21am
a very big help, thank you very much. The you tube video clarified everything for me.:VBOY:
Kaliragoth 7 Jun, 2024 @ 4:27pm
It's listed as working in multiplayer at least. But for me, pillars are still spawning when I build walls.
Aiden 7 Jun, 2024 @ 2:03pm
does it work in MP?
hyperz 18 May, 2024 @ 12:28pm
great mod ty <3
JawKneePlays 15 May, 2024 @ 4:30pm
@_PaZcAl_3K1_ use the mod Common Sense. You can pick up anything you can see on the ground
_PaZcAl_3K1_ 13 May, 2024 @ 7:27pm
Great now i only need a mod that fixes grass and other non interactive stuff like tree stomps growing through my own built floor lol.

@JRandom I have no problem placing all double gates types.
Also the line you indicate shows the same logic as Phaden's door.
You probably need to update the mod to version 1.2.
If you do not know how to do that, as on PZ discord for generic mod update to last version.
JRandom 30 Mar, 2024 @ 6:22pm
Bug Report: Have an issue with placement of gates after the latest fix, and it seems limited to the wooden and metal fence double gates. Other doors and gates behave just fine.

Description of problem: When built, only a single tile of these two multi-tile gates is actually placed down and a message is spammed in the logs referencing -

Very true, there are lots of differences in how the game handles pre-built and player-built structures.
Tchernobill  [author] 30 Mar, 2024 @ 5:12am
@tilarium Thanx, but it could also be player build wall transparency and it could also be something else I'm not aware about.
tilarium 30 Mar, 2024 @ 2:01am
@Tchernobill What I think Great_Puffer means is the light propergation problem and how pre-built structures have their lighting baked in. This screenshot is one of the smaller pre-built cabins with all it's inside walls torn down. There is a clear lighting difference between the pre-built cabin and the small 1x2 section I tried to extend it by.

update 20 mins after bug found, based
Tchernobill  [author] 29 Mar, 2024 @ 4:15pm
@Phaden Thanx a lot for report
Phaden 29 Mar, 2024 @ 4:13pm
sorry I meant coords
Phaden 29 Mar, 2024 @ 4:13pm
It was around cells 11511 x 8800 and yeah it was a vanilla wooden door frame.
Tchernobill  [author] 29 Mar, 2024 @ 4:12pm
version 1.2 corrects the door building errors.
Phaden 29 Mar, 2024 @ 3:50pm
Was using this on my MP server everything was fine until a zombie destroyed a player built door, after that the server web console started giving sync IsoObject index errors when placing doors on that same structure; which would not save after logging out and logging back in(only doors) and removing the mod fixed the issue. (figured I'd let you know maybe it's something you can look into)
Ryan 28 Mar, 2024 @ 5:42pm
this is really helpful.
Thing482 28 Mar, 2024 @ 11:29am
Wait people build with pillars? Aren't they just a structure to fill your south-east wall corners? I feel like the better fix to this solution is to use them for their intended purpose.
Segaside 28 Mar, 2024 @ 5:49am
@Tchernobill Nothing to be sorry about! Haven't rushed to add it yet and kinda expected it. Lol. But glad you added a patch in-case. That was a good move!
SSteve 28 Mar, 2024 @ 5:38am
@Tnaz.v i think it just makes it so that player built rooms/buildings are actually considered inside to the game, because for example you can still get sick from rotting corpses while inside a player built building in the base game because its not considered an actual building, i think this mod fixes that
3lfu84 28 Mar, 2024 @ 4:29am
mandatory for new players

Tnaz.v 27 Mar, 2024 @ 7:01pm
I don't understand what it does at all, can you make a video?
criminal 27 Mar, 2024 @ 5:59pm
FINALLY!!! WOOOO!
☠Veteran Unit☠ 27 Mar, 2024 @ 2:19pm
ok alright
tylo.slennec 27 Mar, 2024 @ 2:17pm
@☠Veteran Unit☠ it's because, to the zombies, the prebuilt walls that you see on buildings don't actually have a construction HP, similar to how zombies will appear to destroy random objects inside a room before getting to you (like a bookshelf for example). Since the player-built constructions have HP, the zombies are able to destroy it, which they are unable to do with prebuilt.
Tchernobill  [author] 27 Mar, 2024 @ 2:13pm
version 1.1 is out Verion Name="Sorry Segaside for your server"
It allows to correct rooms that where built prior to this mod activation.
For this you will need to activate the Active Fix sandbox option. see description.
☠Veteran Unit☠ 27 Mar, 2024 @ 2:07pm
this is exactly what i do, and they bang on the walls desperately, hoping it one day it would break,

some mode must be causing a conflict, you posses more knowledge than me, i'm intrigued to hear your opinion
Tchernobill  [author] 27 Mar, 2024 @ 2:00pm
@☠Veteran Unit☠ I see. This is a vanilla setting you can change.
In your sandbox options, untick Zombie Lore > Damage Construction.
For such vanilla thing, do not use my (or any) workshop item, go ask on Project Zomboid discord. (google it)
☠Veteran Unit☠ 27 Mar, 2024 @ 1:34pm
zombies be banging on my walls and completely ignore the pre built wall, i play on insane population and the constant mass banging on every wall surrouning my base makes me go crazy

what if the zombies ignored my structures like if it was a pre built?

it's very super human for brain dead zombies to posses such godly brain power to tell if a player built that wall or it was loaded with the map
Tchernobill  [author] 27 Mar, 2024 @ 1:24pm
@Great_Puffer & Veteran I have no idea what you are talking about.
☠Veteran Unit☠ 27 Mar, 2024 @ 1:13pm
yeah what if your built walls are treated same as pre built?
Great_Puffer 27 Mar, 2024 @ 12:14pm
i have a question, could it be possible to make it so that the inside of a player built structure is treated the same as a pre built structure
