You don't need them. It's a trigger that I added to prevent the dragon civic being removed upon becoming emperor in case of ethic changes. If it's causing trouble, please let me know. Otherwise it's just gonna show on the tooltip and not disable it. I do have to figure out a way to hide it, though.

Mod working fine for me, at first it didn't but that's because I hadn't subscribed to the 4.0 version of the portrait and was using the legacy version, once I subscribed to the new portrait all worked fine.

Please search the Internet for such things. Don't clutter this comments section needlessly. Verify your files. As I said, I tested this mod on my end multiple times and it didn't crash. Unless other people report this as well, it's not a mod issue.

BtD does not affect any Origins, nor Civics. It only adds its custom ones: Dragon Culture and Pacified Dragon Culture. I have tested this mod on my end and my game didn't crash on startup nor galaxy loading.

all the origins, as in, in the origin selection menu it is not showing up, and juts having the mod on crashes it during the galaxy start up.

I was using the ADP portrait, and as stated the only two mods installed in that playset were it and BtD, but for whatever reason neither of the BtD civics, or the dragon trait, were showing up for me.

I am having a issue stemming from a origin problem. the mod's origin is not showing up, and when i enter game it crashes out.

You must use either the ADP portrait or Apex Drakonius to see the civics. Also, make sure you don't use mods that might overwrite stuff from this one, such as other Dragon mods or civic mods. I use BtC in my own playset and I see them just fine. I'll check the scripts later today...

Dragon traits and civics are not appearing for me as of 4.0, even with the only mods in the playset being this and your dragon portrait mod. Not sure why that would be. Maybe the dragons not being in any of the new species categories is causing issues?

Working just fine for me now, but I can attest that this and the animated portraits mod were causing crashes for me before too, and I didn’t have the other guy’s UUD mod.

It works just fine now though. So maybe it was a completely different mod for me causing the conflict? Dunno.

Either way, stoked that one of my favorite mods is working again so quickly!

@Ever Universe that second hotfix for BtD Did it! Though it leaves a different mess for later possibly but thank you for the hotfix even between BTD, ADP and NGS as it now works together.

Test 1: Full mod list with UUD, with BTC (NGS Disabled)
Result: Success, no crash
Test 2: Full list with NGS and BTD
Result: Crashes.
Test 3: Just NGS, BTD and ADP
Result: Success
Test 4: UUD, NGS, NTD, ADP
Result: Crashes --
Test 5: UUD and NGS
Result: Crash


UUD and NGS incompatible. Assuming possibly due to "Dragon Civics" or some other stuff i'm unsure about but i'm sure one day i'll get better at modding to wonder on compatibilities.

@Ever Universe I have done them with my mod and now without, having disabled everything except your 3 and they are still crashing me. I'm sorry for the hassle and hope the information helps!

Test 1: Disabled all including UUD excluding UIOD and Planetary Diversity
Result: Crashes on New Game creation

Test 2: Disabled everything except NGS, BTD and ADP
Result: Crashes

Test 3: Only running BTD and ADP
Result: Crashes

Test 4: Only running NGS
Result: Success. Does not crash.

Test 5: Running UUD, Extra Events, NGS (UIOD, PD Disabled)
Result: Crashes.
Test 6: Running Extra Events, NGS (UUD, UIOD, PD Disabled)
Result: Success, No crash. (Incompatibility with UUD?)
Test 7: Running EE, NGS, UIOD, PD (UUD Disabled)
Result: Success, No Crash.
Test 8: Enable ADP (Disabled BTC and UUD still)
Result: Failed, Crashes.

Sorry if a bit scattered notes, there's mixed compatibilities it seems.

I've done a few tests, unfortunately I don't think its UIOD or why it's giving issues either.

Test 1:
UI Overhaul disabled -- Just BTC and Animated Portraits Enabled
Result: Failed. Attempt with PD Disable?
Test 2: UI and Planteary Disabled - Just BTC and Animated Portraits Enabled
Result: Failed - Hard Crashes

Test 3: UI Overhaul Disabled -- Just New Galactic System
Result: Failed - Hard Crashes
Test 4: Disable Plaentary also, just NGS
Result: Failed

Interestingly enough I can run 4.0 Animated Portraits with my Mod List including UUD as standalone, it won't crash. But BTC and NGS do.

After some investigation, UIOD may be the culprit in these errors. Please try to run my mods without UIOD and see if they work then.

@Ever Universe I will try now to run it alongside in my load order after UUD and see if it crashes.

As of current, BtC (plus with the required Dragon Animated Portrait) AND NGS (Ran separate) all hard crash me upon new game creation.

Mod Load Order is along this:
#5 - UUD
#7 - 12 -- UI Overhaul Dynamic
#13 - 18 -- Planetary Diversity
#19 - New Galactic System (NGS) ((Disabled due to hard crashing)
#20 - Become the Dragon (Disabled due to crash)
#21 - 4.0 Animated Dragon Portrait (Disabled)

I have been slowly trying to source why but the error logs don't seem to help me at least it just won't get past the "Graphic load" part of the New Game creation.

I will take a closer look at it later today. Unfortunately my game is too dependent on my modlist, which doesn't give me the freedom to turn off my modlist. So I have to wait until that modlist is functional in order to start the game and test my mods. Right now, the best I can do is to rely on player feedback and deploy fixes hoping they'll work.

I confirmed to have a hard crashing "New Game" creation incompatibility with both "Become the Dragon" and it's required Animated Dragon Portrait 4.0 and my UUD Mod... I'm unsure why the sudden hassle it's giving but just thought to mention it.

I still heavily love both these mods and maybe a solution can be made later ^^ Thank you for all your awesome work!

Hi there @Ever Universe! It's wonderful to see this mod is updated and I've been using it in a collection of mods for a playset I really enjoy! I would love to include your mod "Become the Dragon" in my mod that combines like an ultimate all-in-one dragon mod if it would be okay, full credit and link here to the main source of course! (Credit is a big value to me!)

So far everything I am 'combining' works well together and I'm about to update for '4.0', so I wanted to comment a big thank you regardless for having this amazing mod! Dragons and draconic empire stuff is my main focus of enjoyment so it's mods like this that give me passion to be creative.

@Ph00nix; I was referring to me updating the mod for 4.0.2.

The portrait mod and the mechanical mod will remain separate since not everyone who wants the portrait also wants the mechanics that come with it.

(For Become the Dragon) Sure, you can use it to make your own stuff as long as you don't distribute it on the workshop. If you want to do that, please credit me and link the original mod so that people know where the stuff came from.
(For Animated Dragon Portrait) The art isn't mine, so you can use it however you want unless Promilie (artist) says otherwise. Make sure to credit them, though.

Oh, that's cool. It's a good mod, but having an entire fleet of dragon would make it even more badass, can't wait to see the day (if) you would do such change.
